Ohio superfan Buck i Guy hospitalized after freak turkey vulture accident
http://www.10tv.com/content/stories/2012/03/27/columbus-ohio-state-supe…
Yes you read that title correctly. A turkey vulture flew into his windshield and knocked him unconscious. Thankfully his friend was able to safely bring the car to a stop. Annoying as he may be during games, we should all be glad that his friend was there and that he is now safe and sound.

I hope he had a near death experience and met Bo Schembechler. (Although I never want to see him in Michigan gear.)

You could say he saw a vision on the Road to Columbus
bahahaha! this is awesome.

it seems as if my trained turkey vultures have finally done as they've been told.
March 27th, 2012 at 11:01 PM ^
event had just about the right amount of Ohio in it.

Man does that dude look RIDICULOUS. I simply cannot believe how serious these Ohio State fans take supporting their team and the extent to which they go to show it.
They really do need to get a life.
March 27th, 2012 at 11:15 PM ^
That is all.
My season tickets are about 10 seats away from this guy. Also is it just me or does anyone else think that's Kevin Smith in disguise?
Why do you have Ohio season tickets?
or, on the flip side, why does this turkey man have Michigan season tickets????
He means ten seats from the classy Batman/Michigan gentleman.
You are correct. I sit 10 seats from Kevin Smith's doppelganger.
OK, got it! Did you know that guy rides to tailgates standing on top of a car?? We used to tailgate by him on the golfcourse. Superfan for sure.

I just find it ironic his name is chubb and he is... well chubby

how about appropriate instead?

He meant it in the Alanis Morissette sense.

Thoughts and prayers to the turkey's familly.
Rate this! FUNNY!!

Hope he can fully recover and witness future Michigan beatdowns in person

For some reason, this was not surprising at all.

This guy isn't as bad as the bald headed guy with the buckeye necklaces. The combination of his obesity and face paint freak me out.
March 27th, 2012 at 11:53 PM ^
Honestly, I thought they were the same guy. Blubbery and covered in red body-paint, who can tell? I guess those are two requirements for being an Ohio "superfan".
March 28th, 2012 at 12:48 PM ^
No question. At least you people only have to deal with him once a year. Try being in the same section with him for seven games.
For clarity, I'm talking about the bald guy, not Buck-I-guy.

turkey vulture (soars and has scary wingspan up to 6')

Poor birds don't get any respect.

It finds its food using its keen eyes and sense of smell, flying low enough to detect the gasses produced by the beginnings of the process of decay in dead animalsCertainly looks like it found its target :)
Don't forget this Wild Turkey

a 25+ pound turkey land in a tree. They don't roost in small trees, it is really funny to see a large tree swaying when one lands. I've never been close enough to see one actually land on a limb, but I have always envisioned a controlled crash-landing.

Maybe so, judging from the headline for that Channel 10 article:
Ohio State ‘Super Fan’ Hospitalized When Turkey Vulture Smashes Through Car Window
Maybe, after enjoying a wonderful Thanksgiving vulture dinner, folks in Buck i Land head to the local Dairy Queen for a DQ Buzzard

Well, good to hear that Mr. Chubb survived so he can see Ohio lose to Michigan again.
March 27th, 2012 at 11:43 PM ^
I hate OSU and all of OSU fan-dom with the firey passion of a thousand suns, but the rivalry needs its fans. Where would we be if some ill-tempered bird decided to dive-bomb Lloyd Brady?
Also, I hate Buck I Guy slightly less than I hate the Big Nut, who is not only horrible, but also has a great face for radio.
Seriously, I'm sorry... but that man wouldn't belong on TV even if he weren't Scarlet and Gray.
OK, this mope I have seen before, but I do not believe I know the aforementioned "buck i guy." If I recall correctly, the man in this picture was holding up a sign honoring Rob Lytle during the 2010 Game, so he can't be all bad.
March 28th, 2012 at 12:41 PM ^
The Buck I Guy is black and wears a cowboy hat. You have seen him, and if you have not look for the guy with the bird beak scar on his forehead this fall.
March 27th, 2012 at 11:48 PM ^
Where's Eddie at? He usually eats these things.
March 27th, 2012 at 11:55 PM ^
The story skipped some important info, like how is the car? I know some guys who'll give him a good deal on repair and repaint it to cover up that shitty scarlet and gray paint job with something in a pleasing maize and blue.
March 27th, 2012 at 11:59 PM ^
But in Ohio all he has to do is give them an autographed hat and it is free.

I can't stop reading the title long enough to read the article. I assume everything in that title is true?

"freak" is supposed to get out of the hospital?
When I saw the headline, I thought it was going to be some form of bacterial affliction by not cooking it all the way through before serving.
I hope he'll be in the shoe November 24th so he can leave with tears running down his cheek just like all the other buckeye fans in attendance. I can't wait, those buckeye scrubs are gonna get murked.
