This should be good for some laughs, except, I think we will see good football here.

Les Miles is a hell of a coach!  I just wish this board would line up with him as 1b behind Harbaugh.  His teams are consistently sound fundamentally and pretty damn good defensively.  He can play manball, but he is not afraid to mix it up and do some unexpected things too.

He is a proven winner.

Played in 2 National Championships and has won 1.

The LSU team that played Wisconsin was terrible.  Blocking wasn't good.  Running backs were meh.  No quarterback.  Defense showed up in the second half for sure after they discovered that Wisconsin's quarterback made Taylor Martinez look like Johnny U.

Wisconsin looks to be improving.  Herring is back.  And Stave doesn't seem to have the Yips anymore.  Maybe you're right, but not for that reason.

I just like the added dimension of having to worry about a mobile QB.  No real hate for a drop back passer.  You just limit the threat.  MSU still uses some spread looks and Cook will run occasionally, but they are in the mix because of an elite Defense more than their offense.

Considering LSU almost its entire offense to the NFL having 2 losses to top 10ish teams and playing like this is impressive.  I was told to be patient with youth and you cannot be expected to win tough games.  LSU DC is a beast.

That's an OL with 4 new starters on it folks, the last OL graduated 4 - 3 of which are starting in the NFL.  And it drove MSU's line back.

If only James Franklin hadn't been so clueless at managing the clock on PSU's last drive in regulation against OSU, forcing them to settle for a FG instead of a winning TD.  Then it would be much easier to root for OSU.  As it is, I can't stomach either team winning.

1st play from scrimmage (opening ko was a touchback):

Jhurell Pressley rushed up the middle for 75 yard gain (Zack Rogers made PAT) UNM 7, Boise 0

2nd play from scrimmage (ensuing ko was a touchback):

Grant Hedrick passed to Jay Ajayi to the right for 75 yard gain (Dan Goodale made PAT) Boise 7, UNM 7

New Mexico had over 400 rushing yards in the first half but only lead by 7 despite scoring TDs on 6 of 8 possessions (they punted once, had a FG blocked). They had two one-play, 75-yard TD drives and a 100 yd ko return.
