Nico Collins crystal ball update

Submitted by RandomWolverine on
Drew Champlin, the Alabama recruiting expert from the heavily 'Bama leaning AL.com video in the recruiting update, just put in his Nico Collins crystal ball to Michigan.

Nice.

Credit to kB father down, here is an article where he goes in depth on his reasoning.

Now that would be the only thing that bests getting the #1 recruit this year. Oh Jim, always competing, even among your recruiting classes. Next year.....#1 overall class???

I've only been following recruiting closely since Lloyd's last year, but even when Hoke was pulling in great classes it never seemed like our team was stacked (probably due to the O Line not developing).  All of the sudden our D is absolutely stacked and we have like 20 WR, TE and RBs on the team.  If O'Korn or Speight pan out we will have a ridiculous year.

hoke recruited well in many spots.... LT and QB were probably the biggest misses...followed by LB... but the rest, he did very well.

Nico and Donovan would be a nice duo. I think they have a shot to be better than Mario and Adrian. Them two were so fun to watch for so long. Breaston also was great. Go Blue!

to go with our ninja slot guys, stud running backs, and TE corp are keys to bringing a NC to Michigan.   That and bringing our OL up to the standards of Alabama and Ohio.

And having him back up for the BBQ, assuming he does visit will be a good sign. But as we all know in recruiting, especially Southern Kids, anything goes. Having him commit at the BBQ would be huge and, I would think, help recruit other top notch kids to the cause in a sooner rather than later fashion. We shall see.

So who cooks at the BBQ?  Is it authentic southern bbq?  If they try, and its not authentic, Nico may not feel at home.  I would suggest going with some flavor of bbq different from 'southern'.  Let Nico feel genuine feels, not artificial bbq...

/s, if you couldn't tell.

I want him badly because he would be a game changer here, he'd be great for Michigan, but I also want him just so Guz Malzahn can take his "no top Alabama player will ever leave Alabama" quote and shove it up his ass.
