(snaps fingers) chips, smokes, and the link, lets go.
touché
I now love that site with every part of my body, including my pee pee.
Got all the way to your link before finally getting "access denied". Stupid work.
/Shakes fist at sky
on your network?
Apparently they think it is a porn link or something. I was not able to get in but was excited about it. NOw that i know it's ninja's I'm happy to move on. I was hoping for naked chicks eating bacon.
unfulfilled promises. Shouldn't have used that flesh-toned background for my website.
I knew it was going to do that, and neglected to select the correct year before dropping the link. Well played.
or should I say, a better strip? If it were a breakfast sausage it would be a better link.
they've ranked a few three stars at each position, but still not many. for instance, i'm surprised that kaleb ringer still isn't ranked.
wormley was the lone SDE given a 3rd star. so they have him on the precipice of a 4th.
waiting for with Ringer and Ojemudia? Ojemudia is an Army All American. He's not an Under Armor All American, but how hard can it be to rate him at least a low 4. Get with the program RIvals!
So you mean we now have two 3* guys on the team... unacceptable!
That seems about right.
Um...what about Mario? He's a player. How is he not ranked yet?
I feel as though he'll be a four star to Rivals since he's playing the AA game.
Rivals gives preference to all americans too, I think he is deserving of the fourth star...hes a tackling machine.
I thought Rivals ranked all the four stars, and then all the three stars. Since they are now ranking three stars, does that mean they don't consider Mario a four-star?
I was thinking along the same lines as you guys. Since he's playing in an AA game, most services will rank him a four-star player.
These rankings are not set is stone. He will probably get ranked maybe even become a 4 star once the update their rankings.
It's now showing Ben Braden as 3-stars, was he already 3-star? Perhaps they are just in the middle of doing it right now.
lets liveblog it
This happens when all your midwest guys leave to start 247Sports.
Well time to pull their scholarships.
I think they are adding them now by position. So they probably went through all offense skills positions. Now Line (which is why Braden has just showed up). They will then go to Defense. This makes sense since there's no article or announcement for the 3 stars. So we can literally watch Rivals add their rankings in real time.
rivalsdotcom Rivals
<br>@christiansack The position rankings are being updated as we speak, state rankings next week, team rankings to follow.
why AJ Williams is ranked exactly the same as Funchess?
Funchess is a prototypical TE, with the 40 time and receiving #s to match it..
And im not convinced that AJ WIlliams wont end up as a OG or a blocking TE exclusively
Different types of TEs, but both good at the part they play. It's like scout ranking all QBs under one category instead of pro-style and dual threat, or players like Shittu and Pipkins both being DTs, though they wil be different types of DTs in college.
Exactly - not every guy at each position is going to play the same style. Compare a guy like Bri'onte Dunn and that kid from Dr Phillips who went to Alabama whose name I've forgotten. One is 6'2" and 220 and one is 5'8" and maybe 180, but both are running backs. Sometimes you want a small, quick type back and sometimes you want a bowling ball.
Same goes for TEs. Both of those guys have strengths and weaknesses. Funchess has the receiving numbers, but he's 205lbs and will need a few years to get the bulk necessary to block on the line. Williams has all the size already to play TE in the Big Ten, but might never be a major receiving threat. However, what each of them do well, they do very well, and Rivals feels they'll be somewhat equally valuable.
That shifty runner in the backfield...Nick Patti?
At some point, it's hard to project and differentiate kids. Ranking is probably hard enough withot having to determine whether the kid is the #3 WDE-who-could-play-OLB-in-a-3-4-defense" or the #4 WDE-who-could-bulk-up-and-play-some-3-tech-DT.
Now a 3-star, 5.7
Still waiting on Mario, Ringer, Standifer, Godin and Gant. I expect all but Gant to be high 3 stars as well, guys who could be 4's as the season goes on. For whatever reason, the sights don't seem to like Gant, but I'm OK with that.
As discussed before, an injury and his multiple positions hurt Gant. Sites are having troubles on what to rank him, much like Mario.
They just gave Gant a 5.7 3-star rating. I'm pleasantly surprised, but I think he is that good.
I also noticed recently that Rivals has upped their listed weight for Godin from 265 to 270. Not that 5 pounds is a lot, but at the very least it's a good indicator that his weight has been accurate from the get go. It also ups his chances of playing a 3-tech, since he might be over 280 before he even steps on campus.
He was 253 when he committed. So he added 12 pounds . . . and then another 5.
Godin's new nickname: Latimer.
That was a horrible movie.
Not only because it was genuinely a horrible movie, but it revealed American youths' stupidity when those kids got killed trying to re-enact the part where the players laid down in the middle of the road.
"Hey, I've got an idea! Let's cast a short, slow, noodle-armed quarterback as a Heisman candidate! It will be totally believable, guys! This movie's gonna be a hit!"
Great movie, are you serious?
Yes, I recall that tragedy and they deleted that scene from the movie. But are you serious? Joe Kane? Tim "All the" Weiman (Michigan Heisman Trophy Winner), Alvin Mack calling out his assignments, Darnell Jefferson as starting tailback?
I much more enjoy reading the opinions of Tim, Tom and DG Destroys who don't blurt out their random opinions about every minor posting on the board. I feel like those guys are more respectful. Magnus, while I believe that you provide a valuable service to the board, you don't let your work speak for itself. Rather, you have to engage in every little debate and make it sound like your opinion is worth more than others.
For the sake of the board, please take a lesson from Tim, Tom, and DG Destroys -- who let their hard work speak for itself.
WTF are you talking about?
You say Latimer, I say that was a horrible movie, you respond with the comment "Great movie, are you serious?"...
...and somehow you're now accusing me of being intolerant of others' opinions?
Look in the mirror.
I know, I know...you still hate me because I said the state of New Jersey sucks. You'll probably never get over that and you'll hate me forever because I don't like your home state. I can live with that.
But you can save the sermon. I couldn't care less whether you think I'm "respectful" or not. Your anger over my dislike of the movie "The Program" has approximately a zero percent chance of altering my posting habits.
If that state sunk into the Atlantic Ocean approximately 6 people would miss it and/or the people who live there.
Magnus, for being a class act.
Just please do me a favor and act more like DG Destroys.
3 star 5.7
Godin is a 3-star, 5.7.
EDIT: Jinx.
I think Rivals is still updating
Ben Braden just awarded 3 Star with 5.7 rating as well
Man Rivals sure is slow to evaluate players. How have they not evaluated Kaleb Ringer and Mario Ojemudia, let alone Allen Gant and Anthony Standifer? It is not like these guys are under the radar players. And Mario/Ringer are highly rated guys, while Standifer has blown up over the last month or so. They all have some major offers. Rivals just really tends to do a poor job of evaluating Midwest talent.
