mGrowOld Appreciation Thread

A lot of people credit Cade for the miraculous turnaround of this program.  And he does deserve a lot of credit.  The way he rallied the team with Aidan and Hassan was really remarkable.  The way it’s continued is even more impressive.  But I submit that there is another hero.  A mgouser so grouchy, so get off my lawn-y that he/they/she (assumed he) adopted the mGrowOld monicker.  Why?  The year was 2020.  There was a global pandemic wrecking our lives.  Our beloved Wolverines were…struggling.  And while Cade was reverse creating the Aneurism of Leadership with calm, conviction, and determination.  mGrowOld hit the board with this:

And the football team listened.  And they stopped hitting themselves in the nuts and it has been glorious ever since.  Thank you mGrowOld for showing us the way.

Apologies if the size is wrong, tried doing this from the ole cell phone.

It always irks me that the "definition of insanity" gets attributed to Albert Einstein.

It wasn't Einstein. It wasn't Ben Franklin. It wasn't Mark Twain.

It was probably coined in the late 1970s or early 1980s. It's possible - though unlikely - that Einstein may have said something similar.

The reason it irks me is that Einstein was a physicist. He'd have known about the Law of (Truly) Large Numbers, which states that with a large enough sample size, EVERY possible outcome is likely to be observed.

The problem I have with MGrow’s story is I just don't see “how that is even possible”.

He would either have to have very short arms which would cause him to both miss the target and then swing around with exactly the right radius to where his most delicate body parts were waiting.

Or, he would have to have elephant balls, where with elephant balls it’s painful to have them just hanging around during a long session at the work bench. So to rest them you would normally lay them up on the table in their own soft resting spot while you work.

Good analogy, mGrow.  Looks like our team understood the Definition of Insanity, and made the right changes.  The Buckeyes defense this year - not so much.

I’m mesmerized that you’ve found the meaning of life for us in 2022, not long after M pounds OSU by 22, by finding a 2:21 10/20/2020 post by mGrowOld about smashing balls. I’m assuming you’re The Knowledge.
