Not surprising his Twitter is... unverified
January 21st, 2023 at 8:43 AM ^
Does that even matter? Twitter is a dumpster fire of burning shit...
January 21st, 2023 at 12:11 PM ^
I think twitter is way better now.
January 21st, 2023 at 12:53 PM ^
Elon will never be your friend man
January 21st, 2023 at 2:27 PM ^
I can buy his affection for $8 a month
January 21st, 2023 at 1:08 PM ^
Enjoy paying your $8/month for it. couldn’t get me to sign up for it if it was free. Like another poster here has said, Elon Musk is not your friend, buddy.
Never had Twitter and I’m glad I don’t. It’s a toxic cesspit that allows people to become the worst versions of themselves, and gives the most despicable members of the human race a platform to spew their bullshit.
January 21st, 2023 at 1:26 PM ^
It’s always been that way……I set mine up so I only get notifications from people I follow….it’s a lot more useable that way
January 21st, 2023 at 2:23 PM ^
It was that way before Musk bought it, right?
January 21st, 2023 at 3:45 PM ^
100% it was that way before Musk bought it. Before Musk bought it, Twitter was much worse.
January 21st, 2023 at 6:15 PM ^
Funny you're getting negged for this.
Bunch of revisionist historians... kinda like trading your Tesla in for a VW in protest.
January 21st, 2023 at 7:12 PM ^
Not to those that like censorship
January 21st, 2023 at 9:49 PM ^
Absolutely it was. I don’t think the people who ran it before were my friends, either. But just because something might be better does not mean it’s all of a sudden a good thing. It’s like you initially overcooked dinner by two hours, re-did it, and then the second time you overcooked it by an hour. The second time around might be better, but dinner is still fucked.
You could tell me that Gandhi came back from the dead to run Twitter. I’d still think Twitter causes more harm to our society and grossly outweighs any good it provides. That’s not a knock on Musk, but I don’t think there’s much he can do to change that. This is what Twitter fundamentally is.
January 22nd, 2023 at 6:28 AM ^
“It’s a toxic cesspit that allows people to become the worst versions of themselves, and gives the most despicable members of the human race a platform to spew their bullshit.“
Are you sure you’re not talking about Reddit? Twitter is pretty tame IMO. No one really tweets anymore, they just follow various talking heads
January 21st, 2023 at 7:12 PM ^
It’s arguably more entertaining. There is definitely a lot more fraud and inauthenticity on the platform since he bought it, which is the foundation of the ideals he’s been pandering to lately, so I guess that could be considered better by some. Für die Lulz 😂
January 21st, 2023 at 7:12 PM ^
Tell us you support attacking the Capitol when your candidate loses without saying you support attacking the Capitol when your candidate loses.
January 21st, 2023 at 8:28 PM ^
Now Ribby, tell us your candidate is doing a bang-up job…
January 21st, 2023 at 11:58 PM ^
No one needs to think the current guy is doing a great job for it to still be better than someone willing to burn down the democratic process of this country because he can't admit he lost.
January 22nd, 2023 at 1:13 AM ^
Twitter was an instrument of government suppression of free speech, which is appropriate to put in a dumpster and light on fire.
January 21st, 2023 at 8:47 AM ^
I wouldn’t pay $8/month either if I didn’t have a job.
January 21st, 2023 at 9:03 AM ^
You would pay that if you had a job?
January 21st, 2023 at 9:52 AM ^
I’d give anything for some sort of validation of my existence. Although you’d think a master hacker like him could just enable it himself
January 21st, 2023 at 12:11 PM ^
It's not actually a verification of identify anymore. It only verifies that you have $8.
January 21st, 2023 at 2:17 PM ^
*had $8
January 21st, 2023 at 2:58 PM ^
I wouldn’t pay $8/month to join a cesspool of haters if I had a job

Maybe Harbaugh logged on to his account and provided this statement …
January 21st, 2023 at 10:23 AM ^
Wild that this OC statement, after being fired, is leaving on better terms than the previous OC.
January 21st, 2023 at 10:32 AM ^
It sounds like he knows he screwed up.

We can't all be BuckNutz42069 and be throwing around $8/mo. to help fund a guys flailing midlife crisis.
January 21st, 2023 at 11:38 AM ^
That’s what you call the effort by Musk to protect free speech by deconstructing the politically motivated bias, collusion and silencing of dissenting voices on the most powerful social media “town square” in the world? Cool. Not defending Twitter per se, but to demean the man’s motives in protecting free speech, likely because they don’t square with your ideology, is beneath you.
January 21st, 2023 at 11:52 AM ^
1 - Elon Musk doesn’t give a rats ass about “free speech”, he bought Twitter because he’s a narcissistic moron
2 - The 1st Amendment does not apply to Twitter (or Facebook, or Reddit, or MGoBlog) or any other private company.
Next time please take a basic Civics class before commenting, it’ll save the rest of us having to read stupid comments
January 21st, 2023 at 12:19 PM ^
“narcissistic moron”
he may be a narcissist but he is one of the farthest examples of “moron” on the planet.
morons dont build multiple businesses, essentially create a new NASA, redefine what a car is, create thousands of jobs, generate hundreds of million of dollars for the US economy, and generate billions in wealth for himself.
your post smacks of either jealousy, or complete separation from the real world because of political bias
You are right about the 1st amendment though. People who split off about it generally have zero idea of what it means.
January 21st, 2023 at 12:33 PM ^
He is a dude w/ money. whoop dee doo. Word out of his companies has always been that he is a big shitbag. If his involvement in them is anything like what he has publicly effed up with Twitter, he is indeed a Grade A Moron.
January 21st, 2023 at 6:19 PM ^
He’s a dude who CREATED his money by astute and shrewd business decisions. He’s also incredibly smart. Most CEOs are thought of as shitbags.
asshole =\= moron. Moron means stupid, ignorant, etc.
he is very far from a moron.
And personally, I think he bought Twitter for the purpose of fucking it up. When you have that much money, why not buy the biggest social media platform and turn it into a place where you can troll people?? He could have lit $40 billion dollars on fire and still lived his life just as before
January 21st, 2023 at 7:04 PM ^
drjaws, if you're this desperate to taste his penis....just tweet it out to the world. Then you can stand in line with the rest of the shmucks and wait your turn
January 21st, 2023 at 7:19 PM ^
Created his money? He’s not a worker. He’s essentially an investor who has made some excellent capital allocation decisions. Other people make his money for him, and he takes it because he bought the right to do so. As far as I can tell, he hasn’t *created* much value since he wrote the code for PayPal. But he has supported others who create value and has taken some risky bets which obviously paid off big (jury is still out on his latest venture), so I’ll give credit where credit is due.
January 21st, 2023 at 12:41 PM ^
The guy calling Musk a moron admits to being a Lions fan.
January 21st, 2023 at 7:15 PM ^
Now this is funny
January 21st, 2023 at 12:46 PM ^
He didn't build anything, he bought companies wirh the money he inherited from his father and embraced meme culture to win some loyal fans.
January 21st, 2023 at 1:46 PM ^
Yup--Musk bought Tesla, he didn't build it. In fact, he's now tanking Tesla's stock with his Twitter bullshit. And Tesla is rapidly losing the EV market share (which is hardly huge) to established car markers whose cars don't, um, blow up or drive themselves into massive pile-ups. SpaceX is NOT the new NASA. They make launch vehicles which...great. There are other companies that do that. They'll be the new NASA when they put a telescope up that can see back to the beginning of time. Elon Musk isn't a genius. He's a fraud who fooled his fanboys into believing he's Tony Stark when he's nothing more than a flailing venture capitalist.
January 21st, 2023 at 6:07 PM ^
This is a pretty uninformed take on the history of Tesla. Musk became the majority owner of Tesla less than 8 months after it was incorporated and has been CEO since 2008. Regardless of whatever else you think of him, saying Musk didn’t “build” Tesla is wrong.
January 21st, 2023 at 6:24 PM ^
People go “oh, Musk is a right winger” and denounce everything he did and give him zero credit.
it’s incredible how much peoples political leanings cloud straight facts
January 22nd, 2023 at 10:04 AM ^
has been CEO since 2008.
Where the employees literally have an entire show set up when he stops by to carefully satiate his ego without letting him mess with any of the actual work they do lmao
January 21st, 2023 at 6:25 PM ^
They'll be the new NASA when they put a telescope up that can see back to the beginning of time
Ummm... NASA didn't launch JWST.
NASA doesn't control JWST.
NASA didn't build JWST.
NASA at this point is essentially a contracts administrator.
SpaceX can launch 40 Falcon Heavys (and in days) for the same price of one SLS. Think about that for a moment -- how much fucking money the federal gov't pisses away on SLS.
Just have the integrity to actually be honest and say you dislike Musk because his politics have changed and no longer align with yours. Otherwise your post is pure nonsense.
January 22nd, 2023 at 2:17 PM ^
This is likely the worst post you have ever made. It's bad and you should feel bad.
- Regardless of how or why, Musk has done more to advance the EV and autonomous driving industry than any individual ever.
- His accomplishments have done more toward abating climate change than anyone on the planet.
- Further, he has done more to reduce the cost of space travel than any individual ever, and if not for SpaceX, our ISS space program would currently be at the mercy of Putin and Russia.
- Musk received death threats to him and his family from the Russian government, who just so happens to actually kill opponents a lot, for providing Ukraine Starlink, which has been pivotal and vital toward Ukraine's ability to communicate and mount an effective defense. If not for Starlink, Ukraine's communication infrastructure would be non-existent. Musk risks his own life on behalf of Ukraine, yet sure, to you he's a moron.
My father worked for Ford his whole life, and my mother gets a Ford pension so I'm not a fan of any other automaker taking market share from Ford, but you call a spade a spade. Musk is one of the top 5 most important people to come along toward the advancement of our species in decades.
The way you disregard the things he has done, likely out of myopic partisanship owed to his dabblings with Twitter is another mind boggling example of how sad our species is at grappling with tribalism and confirmation bias.
January 21st, 2023 at 6:25 PM ^
How much did he inherit and how much is he worth now?
I guess bill gates and Jeff bezos didn’t build anything either then
