I have no idea why we have such a hard time with this when state and Iowa can have stripes in their stadium and PSU can have everyone wearing white.

People don't have maize hoodies?
October 13th, 2015 at 11:14 AM ^
And clothing doesn't matter...errr, color of clothing doesn't matter. Be warm and waive your pom pom if you want to participate.
October 13th, 2015 at 11:07 AM ^
What we need is a crowd that stands the entire game this Saturday and screams their fucking heads off the entire game .... and then be extra fucking loud on 3rd downs. Colors are for TV - and doesn"t impact the other team. CROWD NOISE DOES.
I'll be loud this Saturday, and in my new this season ... Harbaugh jersey !!!
Go Blue!
October 13th, 2015 at 11:16 AM ^
Oh, trust me. The crowd will be electric on Saturday. I have a feeling this crowd will be the loudest it has ever been.
October 13th, 2015 at 12:04 PM ^
because if that defense gets rolling then I agree that it'll probably be the loudest it's ever been. Maybe the only rival will be OSU 2011

Look how far we have come in a year. We are arguing over this topic instead of:
Fire (whoever is flavor of the week)
Does Manball work?
Impending DOOM
why are all our recruiting targets leaving us...
Blah blah Blah
October 13th, 2015 at 11:22 AM ^
You know, that's kind of where I was at with this one. After "Fire (insert name) and the 231,204,954 CC threads and all the agony of 2014, to watch the board debate the practicality / need for a Maize Out is just about the best mod experience I've had since I began in this role in 2013.

Every game should be a maize out, which includes giving everyone a pom pom, like in this picture.
Come on! That looks great!
October 13th, 2015 at 11:27 AM ^
It makes the stadium look huge. Obviously when you've been there you know that it is... But, sometimes camera angles don't do the stadium justice. This one does, what a great shot!

Only 60,000 maize poms? We need everyone to have one!
October 13th, 2015 at 11:23 AM ^
Seriously? That's all they're giving? That's shitty. Everyone who walks in with a ticket should get one.
October 13th, 2015 at 11:30 AM ^
Yeah, I happened to scroll down to the promotions of the MSU game and saw

lame
Like they cannot produce another 40,000 to 50,000. They're so cheap anyway.

If it's at AAGOC I'd take the 20 minute walk down to Frasers, if it's at the Diag personally I'd head to Scorekeepers (assuming you're under 25) or to Hopcat if you're over 25.

If you don't have appropriate apparel, I highly suggest you invest in re-opening Steve & Barry's. Then we will all have access to this apparel at pennies-on-the-dollar. I am still so sad there was no way that business was sustainable.
October 13th, 2015 at 11:21 AM ^
i think Michigan needs to do a better job of getting the word out about maize outs. It's almost like they try to keep it on the down low. They should post about it multiple times on social media. Pom poms make it look amazing regardless tho.

This.
I think Maize Outs look cool, but they're not the most important thing to me. It's more important to bring your voice, support the team vocally, and make Michigan Stadium a tough place to play.

I repeat... DO NOT change up your lucky gameday gear. MSU won't notice one blue shirt in the sea of maize. Come on man, don't screw us here...

Since I graduated in 1975, Harbaugh-blue with maize lettering is the standard, classic look. Game-day shirts should say MICHIGAN and nothing else. My attitude used to be that if you wore something else, you were a marketing victim.
Times change, and though I still prefer the classic look, maize-out shirts are incredible in the Big House, and I love them at BB games as well.
My game-day shirt is now maize, with the distressed-lettering, arched, MICHIGAN in Harbaugh-blue, purchased on State Street M Den for Harbaugh's debut against Oregon St. I am awaiting Nike to get more Harbaugh-blue gear.
Give everyone Maize pom-poms, and even the people in Harbaugh-blue add to the effect. Cannot wait to see it on TV in Phoenix. Remember, Maize is a bold and arrogant shade of yellow. Amaizing!!!
October 13th, 2015 at 11:44 AM ^
So the Maize out is listed on the official AD website, and on the actual game ticket, but we are going to cite some high school kids instagram as the source that broke this?

October 13th, 2015 at 11:46 AM ^
The Maize Outs simply look better on TV and in person. You can hate the pom poms and like blue as a shirt color better, but if you've seen any team attempt a "blue out", they always look pretty uninspiring.
Also, for those who complain that you don't have a maize jacket. There's always the maize shirt over hoodee option or the option of buying a long sleeve maize shirt that costs like $10 just for these type of games. I do both and the only time I ever got cold was last year's Indiana game mainly because of the wind and the fact that there were 0 fans in my section.
Honestly, I could care less what people wear as long as they are making noise, but I don't really get people whining about the maize. There's a clear reason why the school prefers to use that color over blue.

How hard is it for people to pull a damn maize t shirt over your hoodie? Stop with the ''I don't have a maize coat or long sleeve'' excuses.
October 13th, 2015 at 12:01 PM ^
Still too warm for jackets! A hoodie or sweat shirt should work and most have them in maize. If it is raining then bring a maize poncho!

HAPPENING..I fear MSU has been laying in the weeds for this game and we are going to see ALOT that hasnt been on tape yet... just cant believe that we are even part of these discussions right now..Its Incredible that we could have gone this far so quick....I fear the bubble bursting this week and I hate that feeling....Can they really do this one more time? against the #4 team in the country...Its like I have no right to even have that expectation and yet? Here it is....Biggest game for Michigan since the 1997 season in my opinion..Win this and its for REAL!
October 13th, 2015 at 12:48 PM ^
The only way you can keep things in the bag is when your winning comfortably. For example 3 straight shut outs!
