with the suspensions. The RB was gonna share snaps, the d lineman was part of the rotation, and the WR has been suspended for 3 weeks now. The rest weren't gonna see much if any pt.

Yeah, they need a new starting RB.  So do we.

They lost their top returning receiver. We lost our top 3.

They lost their safety. We lost our entire secondary.

Both teams have plenty of young talent and great athletes everywhere. I'd pick us because we have experience at the most important position on the field and Harbaugh, not because of suspensions. With that said, it doesn't seem ridiculous that some neutral observers will pick Florida. Why is that outrageous?

You've never played football before. It is a way bigger loss mentally on a team to lose your horses abrubtly. Especially an opening season showdown with Michigan.

Another dumbass national writer who doesn't actually cover a team, just shoots his mouth off.

You could say they were "more talented" two years ago. But not now.

And how did two years ago play out again?

I hope more people pick the Gators. Edit: and really? They're "athletic"?? And Michigan isn't? Oh...and our D isn't great "side to side"... Child, please...

Given that both Brown and Harbaugh seem really excited about getting into a game situation and both have been a bit more open about their praise it seems pretty clear they have some confidence in their abilities on the field.

Given it is a young team, big thing is the momentum shifting plays and ensuring that they are keeping their heads up and getting back at it if a big play happens.  I think that the concept that Michigan does not have an athletic team is going to quickly get put to rest.  If anything, this may be the most athletic team overall in a long long time.  They may still be a year or so away depending on how the Oline and Dbacks gel, but it should be fun to watch.

Isnt this the guy that refused to rank Chris Hinton as a top 10 overall prospect because his personal opinion was that he should play OL then dropped him 90 spots?

Yea, that guy is a shit stain.

he's speaking on a Jacksonville radio station. of course he is going to pander to the local fan base. If he were interviewing on a Detroit station, he likely would have talked up Michigan.

And I love the idea of taking your point to the extreme. I'm gonna become a "pundit" and just call the hometown station of every team to say they're going to win. First, I'll call a Tuscaloosa station and say the Tide are unbeatable. Then I'll hang up and call a station in Macon, Georgia and say, "I just don't think 'bama has the athletes to hang with Mercer this year. Mercer by 26".

Practically every "expert" I've come across is picking Florida. ESPN is riding them hard stating that things could get ugly if Michigan isn't careful.

I've never understood the hate for Michigan by espn and other analyst sites. All I've read all damn offseason is how overrated Harbaugh is, how young the team is, and how the SEC has the biggest dick of all time.

I don't see how Florida wins this game unless their QB consistently beats our secondary.

I'm glad people are picking Florida.  I expect Zarzour to pick Michigan today while McElroy will pick the Gators.  I expect Horowitz and Kanell to pick Michigan.  Booger McFarland likes Florida.  Lots of good players on both sides but we have a big edge at QB and coaching.  I like our chances, but it's not outrageous to pick the Gators.

why the two teams decide the outcome on the field. First game of the year with lots of uncertainty at many positions for both teams - no one knows how these two teams will respond. Time to tee it up,

but I'll take Michigan's offense vs Florida's defense over Florida's offense vs Michigans defense. Short of turnovers, special teams problems I don't see it.
