the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection
Kiffykins to USC
Unfortunately Kiffin is someone who will probably be able to keep Baxter and Prater.
If he takes that staff with him and SC somehow avoids major sanctions that is a serious coup.
I'm curious how Kiffin is a coup for the mighty USC?

More than anything his staff is pretty awesome. That's the major thing. It sounds like Monte and Ed O are coming with and those are the two most important guys by far.
EDIT: Actually the most important people he needs to bring with him are his hostesses now that I think about it.
My thoughts are what has Lane himself done that we or the P10 should fear? Especially when you consider this quick jump and how it will look, the impending sanctions and his already questionable reputation.
I think USC is in a much weaker position then they were at this time a week ago.
Kiffin can't hold Carroll's jock.

..."Self, well at least USC won't get any dirtier"
Well, then they prove me wrong.
HOLY SHIT!!!! This just kind of blows my mind. I can't believe that USC is hiring this guy. Personally, I would be somewhat cheesed at whoever made this decision if I was a USC fan. I just really don't want to have a scumbag as a coach. Personal choice I guess. I will never be a fan of USC or Kiffin, so maybe they are a good fit.
I can only continue to reference the fact that I live in an onion factory.
... Remember that ESPN is the "news" org that broke the Miles to Michigan story a couple years ago.
Do Something. If it works, do more of it. If it doesn't, do something else.
This is surprising.... though Lane's ego might fit well in L.A.
Pronounced Ahh-Neh-Muh
Did not see this one coming at all. Hopefully USC's bridge with Baxter is irreversibly burned.

Whoa. Mind=blown.

will keep USC on probation. What is Mike Garrett thinking? He will be the next to leave with the football and basketball team getting sacked by the NCAA. The NCAA penalty will just be bigger since they will think USC has not learned their lesson.
Anyone who complains about the dynamics of RichRod coming to Michigan now after this should be water boarded in Dick Cheney's hot tub.
This will provide for some entertainment this off season.
By the way, the USC boards are turned upside down right now.
All right Lemmings. Bring the heat.
What? Is? With? This? Dude? Does Lane Kiffin have a golden schlong? Is he just sleeping with all the right people? This blows my mind.
This has to be the most baffling ascent of a college football coach of all time. Fails as Raiders HC, goes to Tennessee, commits a flood of recruiting violations on the road to 6-6 or something, then goes back to USC. You'd think this guy was good.
"Those who stay will be champions."

OR if Skip Holtz goes to USF then ECU will be a real possibilty as well.

The Pirate coaching The Pirates = WIN
"Well, I think I made my position clear there."
- L.C.
This is good for a couple reasons.
1.) Rivals #2G and 4-star Torrian Wilson´s final three was USF, Tennessee, and Michigan. Both USF and Tennessee are out coaches at this point so it looks promising. If CM gets the job at USF (unlikely at this point) that could complicate things but for now we´ve got the inside track.
2.) The USC recruits we´re into had their feathers ruffled enough to get us an in-home with Baxter and Parker was already leaning our way.
If we can close with Baxter, Parker, Wilson...
Ok, someone has to say this...Torrian Wilson!!!
He decommitted from Stanford and said his top three were Tennessee, USF and Michigan. Well we are surprisingly the only team with coaching stability! Come on down, Torrian. Or come on up?
EDIT: Damn you beat me to it. Sorry for the double post.
its gotta be like going from dating scarlett johansson to rosanne barr in a matter of a week
This is home...
You think Harbaugh hated Carrol? Lol can't wait to see such high ego's bump heads now. Kiffin vs Harbaugh, Round 1!
This guy will make an ass of himself at the introductory press conference - no chance he doesnt do something stupid.
'Cause I Bleed Blue...
This might be the dumbest move of all time. He doesn't even cheat as good as Carroll. TN fans got lucky to get rid of this dude.

when Kiffin starts pillaging Tennessee recruits.
Wow this is a shocker. Kiffin and his crew are excellent recruiters (although with shady practices), so I expect them to keep Prater and Baxter, and it's going to be a very ugly battle to land Sean Parker. Dammit....
Wow. Did not see that one coming. I guess Kiffin and his staff should have been busy calling USC recruits from that hotel room Saturday.
Christ in me arise and dispel all the darkness.
Mr. Nick Saban, I'd like to introduce you to the guy who stole your crown - Mr. Lane Kiffin.
This is in response to WestCoastWolverine, too. Recruits want to get to the NFL. First goal. Nick Saban, despite his reprehensible character record, pulls in top flight recruiting classes every year. Kiffin offers the same slimy tactics and promises. Don't jump the gun on Baxter and Parker.
"There was a time I could have been mistaken for Burt Reynolds. I had a moustache and so did he. But he was the number one star in the world, so there wasn't really much confusion."
Several people have asked for recruits that we could possibly steal from Tennessee because of this. I went through all of their currently committed recruits on Rivals and looked for anyone that listed Michigan, here's what I found.
| Name | Position | Stars | National Rank |
| Zach Fulton | OG | 3 | NR |
| Ralph Williams | OLB | 3 | NR |
Well, only two. I guess I didn't need to make the table or include the National Rank column. Hopefully the Rivals database isn't very updated.
I'm just going by what the Rivals database says. And according to his recruiting profile Michigan isn't on Mike Taylor's radar.
As we all know though, those things are notoriously useless as they're so rarely updated. That makes one wonder why I even bothered to make my above post.
Wow. Just wow. (and a LOL, too)
There are no corners in space.
Quotes from SC AD Mike Garrett...

Apparently, Joe Schad thinks the move makes sense (lolwut?)
This is home...
Only reason I see for this is that Garrett wants to keep the excitement in the program and thought that Kiffin can keep up the recruiting success.
There's a new #1 on the douchy/liar list, and his name is Lane Kiffin! He managed to pass Nick Saban?! Wow!

Really this blows my mind. This is like so many Christmases as once.
