The real question is if we

The real question is if we win out and win the B1G tourney do we get a 1 seed? I think it would be hard to not give the team that won the  reg season and tournament championship of the best conference in the country a 1 seed. This is of course assuming state loses to ohio.

You make a good point but I

You make a good point but I don't know if there are enough spots. There's 4 at large spots and unless something crazy happens the SEC and Big 12 are assured two of the 4. Then you have Houston automatically getting a spot. So it would probably boil down to a 10-2 Michigan or an 11-1 Stanford for the final at large spot.

Whoever voted Boise #1 in

Whoever voted Boise #1 in the AP poll should lose their ability to vote.

Beckett pitched yesterday and

Beckett pitched yesterday and Lester is pitching tomorrow so if we play the BoSox it would look something like this

JV vs Wakefield/Lackey

Fister vs Beckett

Scherzer vs Wakefield/Lackey

Porcello vs Lester

JV vs Wakefield/Lackey

And Tampa would be in a similar situation where they have hellickson going tonight and price tomorrow. But Tampa's rotation is so deep I don't think it matters as much for them.

I don't know why but I just

I don't know why but I just have a feeling Hoke is going to beat Ohio. I think Nebraska can be very beatable at home but I'll chalk them up as a loss. So I think it comes down to 3 games, @MSU, @Iowa, and @Illinois to determine if we're anywhere from 8-4 to 11-1. I think 9 or 10 wins is a very likely scenario.

Who was the last coach not to

Who was the last coach not to wear a baseball cap? Just by google images it appears Oosterban wore a cap but with no block M. I couldn't find any sideline pictures with Crisler but I'm guessing it was him.

Edit: late post

Not to mention Denard put up

Not to mention Denard put up some pretty gawdy numbers against the likes of PSU, Illinois, and Wisconsin in addition to the "five nobodies". Also, does Desmond not remember that ND is included in that first 5? ND was a very solid 8-5 squad that blew out Utah and Miami in addition to winning AT SoCal and Denard did nothing short of putting up 502 total yards in South Bend. The man who kicked off his 1991 Heisman campaign with a 4th down diving catch against ND of all people should realize the greatnest of Denards feat.

Not to mention Wiz Khalifa

Not to mention Wiz Khalifa looks like the long lost brother of Manny Harris.

This has Mouton as a Junior

This has Mouton as a Junior (RS). I thought he was a 5th year senior?

Don't forget about James

Don't forget about James Rogers

I like Cam Gordon at FS and

I like Cam Gordon at FS and Kovacs at Bandit. Rich Rod did mention Mike Williams in his press conference FWIW. I just hope the true freshman safety competition he was referring to was for the spur position cuz if Mike Williams starts, tight ends will routinely be getting 100+ yards against us.

Turner to linebacker I guess.

Turner to linebacker I guess.

Denard looked best in every

Denard looked best in every aspect, throwing, running, not fumbling snaps, clean exchanges (or keeps) on the read play. As for Turner, he was running with the 2s and that was with Woolfolk out. I'm just kinda surprised he can't beat out JT Floyd or James Rogers. And as for the fumbled snaps I expect that to improve upon the return of Molk.

Why slot? I say move him to

Why slot? I say move him to WR and just have him run flys like against Ohio State. Everyone and their mom's new he was running just straight down the field and they still couldn't cover him.

I'm not too high on Kansas.

I'm not too high on Kansas. Keep in mind WE hung in there with them at their place. Also if Kansas ends up playing Kansas State in the final 4, it is really hard to beat a team 4 times in the same season, especially a team as good as K-State. I am pretty high on Kentucky though. Calipari was one miracle shot away from a national title in 2008, and personally I think John Wall is better than Derek Rose.

Would one need Braylon's

Would one need Braylon's permission to purchase a #1 jersey?

Now I've never played or

Now I've never played or coached football at the D1 college level, but I would wager that paying a Heisman to come play for your team would give a bit more of a competitive advantage than practicing an extra 20 mins to stretch would.

The reason why DD did it

The reason why DD did it is:

Damon + AJax + Scherzer + Schlereth + Coke > Granderson + EJax

You should include the class

You should include the class of the first year starters in your data. You predict that 2013 would be a down year if it were Gardner's first year starting. I'm going to go out on a limb a say that a redshirt junior would be much improved from his true freshman year regardless if it's his first year starting or not. Ultimately I think if Gardner redshirts and doesn't start until 2013, it would be a pretty smooth transition.

Dorsey and Latwan at safety,

Dorsey and Latwan at safety, Turner and Christian at corner, MRob at LB, that would be sick.

It will

It will be

CB-Turner
CB-Dorsey
S-Woolfolk
S-Kovacs

With Cullen playing nickel. I hope we don't need Mike Williams to even sniff the field and who knows, Vlad might surprise. I also thing M-Rob will be moved to LB to play Stevie Brown's position, possibly even being the starter there next year.

All I can say is that 2006

All I can say is that 2006 team had a ridiculous amount of talent.

Unfortunately Kiffin is someone who will probably be able to keep Baxter and Prater.

Everyone just needs to chill

Everyone just needs to chill out. We just lost by 11 points on the road against #1 in the land, and that's while shooting 17% from 3. So the facts are, the games will only be easier from here on out and our shooting can only get better from here on out. This game has me very optimistic going into Big Ten play.

How sweet would it be if

How sweet would it be if their shots decide to finally start falling this Saturday.

I want to see the Stafford

I want to see the Stafford Calvin connection for years to come. The Lions offense needs it. I'd rather have Calvin and maybe draft Eric Berry for defensive help than have just Suh.

That's actually West hall,

That's actually West Hall, formerly the School of Engineering.

Seeing as RB is going looking

Seeing as RB is going looking to be the weakest position on offense next year, I would like to see a lot of 5-wide.

WR-Stonum
WR-Junior
Slot-Tay
Slot-Tree
TE-Koger

I can see this formation being lethal next year.

Going on resume TCU beat

Going on resume TCU beat Wyoming 45-10, while Texas beat Wyoming 41-10. I'm just going purely on resume though.......

I don't know how anyone can

I don't know how anyone can say that Texas's resume is more impressive than TCU's.

TCU beat BYU (@ BYU) 38-7. BYU is more highly ranked than anyone Texas has faced. TCU also beat Utah (another ranked team) 55-28. Not to mention BYU beat a Clemson team on the road that was 5 points away from being the ACC champs.

Texas on the other hand has absolutely no impressive wins other than Oklahoma State. And in the games that mattered most (Texas A&M and Nebraska) Texas did win, but clearly showed they do not belong in the NC game.

TCU went undefeated too. Not

TCU went undefeated too. Not to mention the Mountain West has just as many ranked teams as the Big 12.

Suh, no question about it.

Suh, no question about it. Best football player in the nation.

BCS- Texas-Bama
Rose-

BCS- Texas-Bama
Rose- OSU-Oregon
Fiesta- Boise-TCU
Orange- Cincy-Georgia Tech
Sugar- Florida-Penn St.

I think the orange bowl would want an undefeated Cincy over a 2 loss Iowa. Then I think the sugar bowl would take Penn St over Iowa, Joe Pa and Penn St have some history in the sugar bowl.

Having said that, what SHOULD happen is have TCU play Bama in the NC. Texas got lucky and won by 1 point to beat a team that can't even score a touchdown. Just using the good old eye ball test I think TCU is better than Texas. But unfortunately the voters will end up putting Texas in.

We are in "DEEP" trouble of

We are in "DEEP" trouble of this happens. I can't even fathom a secondary of Floyd, Turner (might be good but has no experience), Kovacs, and Williams/Vlad. We'll need Rich Rod's offense to be scoring 40 points a game.

We need Dillon Baxter.

Point being, the fact that

Point being, the fact that 52% of passes in the NFL are out of the gun does not mean that NFL teams are running Rich Rod's offense. This will have no effect on Rich Rod's recruiting.

In the NFL, for the most

In the NFL, for the most part, it is still pro-style pocket passing whether the QB is in the shotgun or not. I just don't see a whole lot of spread zone-option reads in the NFL anytime soon other than Vince Young.

3 Ball

This team lives and dies by the 3. Unfortunately they did the latter in Orlando. I agree with Tim that the shots will start falling now that they come back home. Michigan wins this one big.

A +1 wouldn't solve anything.

A +1 wouldn't solve anything. In fact it probably would make it worse if TCU, Cincy, and Boise all win their bowl games.

And a 16 team playoff would take the meaning out of the regular season. I mean who would waste their time watching the Florida vs Alabama this weekend?
