For a team who the past 2 seasons has become dependent on an elite defense with a mediocre offense, promoting the D-Coordinator seems like the logical decision.

I wouldn't really be worried about a in-game/development coaching drop-off, but I am worried about a recruiting one when you go to a coach nobody knows the name of and you aren't willing to pay to play...

Depending on how you look at it... Do you think he turned a bunch of low ranked kids into NBA talent or do you think he had a better eye for talent than the recruiting services? For not paying recruits, he sure sent a lot to the NBA

I think it's a bit of both. He clearly knew what kind of players he wanted, and then knew what to do with them. The elite recruiters are paying the players, for sure. However, I don't think Coach B was in that near elite (but still clean) group of recruiters that would be impossible to replace.

I think his development skills will be much harder to replace.

Very tough timing to make a choice between Yak and Saadi. A year ago it would definitely be Saadi. In another year, probably Yak. If it was up to me, I'd ask Beilein.

Kind of late to look outside the program. Six weeks ago Nate Oats would have been high on my list.

This is obviously more Sparty ownership melding. Sucks to be a recruit right now.

The Sparty troll in my office just orgasmed in his pants a minute ago. He doesn't know what to do with himself. He has a guy who is regarded as one of the greatest coaches of all time, yet the best thing to happen to his program is Michigan losing its coach.

This is fucking nuts.  He's got to only have a few years left before retirement and this is the route he chooses?  We are so fucking close to the top of the mountain.  Damn it to hell.  Pony up the dollars.  Fuck!!!
