Jake Rudock to play in the bowl game

Submitted by MGoGrendel on

Just reported that he has an AC joint strain in his non-throwing shoulder.  He will be able to play in our bowl game.

Looking at the list we can easily see how good Jim's '86 season was.  It would be 12 years until someone (Brady) got close.  The way football has gone pass happy fills in the rest.

Is there some sort of formula to try to put seasons from different eras on par comparing to the mean?

I still wouldn't practice him the first week of bowl practice. Just let him watch film and rehab.

Give the younger guys who could be playing next year some reps. This is improvement time for the returning players.

If you're not coming back next year...stand around a heal up for the bowl game. Give them a full week and a half of normal prep/practice right before the game...everything before that should go to the returning players.

Can you please let me play computer coach for 2 seconds without the "I Trust Harbaugh" line?

If I was as smart as Jim Harbaugh at coaching football and managing a football team, I'd be a D1 head coach and one of the best 4 coaches in the country.

Just let a playa, play!

I have seen some comments about how Fournette will eat us alive the way 'Zeke and Howard destroyed us.   With a month to prepare, I would like to see how coaches and players respond to the challenge.  I think we can come up with an answer to zone-stretch that caused enormous problems for an otherwise sound defense.   Great running backs and spread schemes are part of the game, we need to come up with an answer if we hope to have an elite defense.

I don't know if it is just a good back that gets us though, I think it's a good back combined with tempo and, in OSU's case, a mobile QB.  Barkley is a good back at Penn State and we bottled him up well.  Alabama, Arkansas, etc. all laid out a blueprint to defeat him too, LSU seems a bit like a one-trick pony.

I thought the Defense was Elite and would carry us through to the Big title game...BOY WAS I WRONG...complete 2nd half season collapse and Thank God for Jake because you are totally correct , with out him were easily 7-5 maybe 6-6

I've posted this in other threads...but I've got it on great authority that it'll be UF in the Citrus Bowl. Exciting. Time to end the curse that started in the Citrus Bowl with Lloyd's last win.

That may be a real possibility, but it's not set in stone, because there are certain key results still to be determined that have an effect on bowl positions. It may be that Michigan is a near-lock for the Citrus Bowl, especially if MSU is in a Super Six game win or lose, but Florida could theoretically shock Bama. Among other things that could move around.
