It's Saturday Night: what's in your glass?

Beautiful evening here, watching the sunset of Crooked Lake from my back yard and sipping on some Keewenaw Brewing Company Widow Maker and Red Jacket Amber Ale. What's in your glass?

Cold. Name means "first grandson" in Japanese. Same sake served at my wedding 21 years ago. Marriage didn't last but it's still good sake.

now mgowife, we would go out for sushi in socal and drink cold saki.  i came to enjoy both of those things very much.  and my mgowife and i remain very fond of one another, a wonderful blessing through the years.

but haven't lived in SD for exactly 14 years...to the day.

our favorite sushi place was in IB, right at the southern-most tip of coronado island.  food was decent, but not liking traffic, it was a super easy drive with the ocean on either side of the road.  there are worse commutes in the world.

cheapo-o but pleasant.  productive day.  loading up new fridge that we got delivered today.  without a doubt, big is good in the context of refrigerator space, especially with kids.  never had one so big and it is cool.

Sitting here now, along the East Arm of the Grand Traverse Bay after a long day of trolling the Mission Peninsula wineries, we're enjoying something from Black Star Wineries, which was the last one we stopped at while working our way from the lighthouse south. As the sun descends on the beach, we've just opened their Pinot Noir.

21st amendment brew free or die ipa. Also finished by bottle of Jim beam Devils cut. That is just a bad bourbon. Maybe it intended to be a mixer because straight the wood flavor overpowers everything.

Had two pints of Bell's Hopsolution for the first time today at Factor's Row in Annapolis.  Maltier Hopslam IMHO.  Quite good.

Probably going to pour myself some Whistlepig in a bit.

There yesterday- caught a couple nice walleyes west of the island Then pulled the kids around on the tubes for a couple hours, before returning through the locks back down to Burt. Had dinner at Douglas Lake Bar, came home early this morning.
