TREMENDOUS!!!!!!
February 2nd, 2011 at 6:24 PM ^
He used the word tremendous 13 times in his descriptions. Thats tremendous
February 2nd, 2011 at 6:58 PM ^
Physical - 6 times
A version of Athlete or Athletic - 6 times
I was remarking to my friend when I was watching this that he was really saying nothing about everyone. He had nothing specific to say. It doesn't really matter, I think it's funny. We need a Hoke-a-mania drinking game with his favorite words.
February 2nd, 2011 at 7:55 PM ^
He used the term "you know" about 300 times during his press conference.
February 2nd, 2011 at 11:08 PM ^
or most players you recruit for football are going to be physical and/or athletic?
February 3rd, 2011 at 6:09 PM ^
I remember his first presser, my buddies and I took a drink of beer everytime Hoke went "uhh". We finished three beers each after about three minutes then couldn't keep up after that.
February 2nd, 2011 at 8:10 PM ^
That's 0.65 tremendouses per recruit, though he gave Raymon Taylor 3 tremendouses, which means
- the other 19 recruits only got 0.526 tremendouses per man, so
- the Raymon:other recruit tremendous ratio was 3/0.526, or 5.7, hence,
- I expect Raymon to be 5.7 times more tremendouser than the other recruits.
I feel like we need a Tremendouschart to replace the Hennechart. Brian? Make that happen, yo.

this just made me LOL out loud

The Texan in me likes to see the three new recruits from the Lone Star State.

Hoke doesn't sound too excited about Brown. I'm mostly joking around and I know its not a big deal, but damn he's your only early enrollee, show the kid some love.
February 3rd, 2011 at 5:50 PM ^
Actually, I'd say he made a very flattering comment when he said, "Greg is from Fremont Ross High School. Michigan's had a great connection with that school." Nice little implied comparison there.

Fred Jackson thinks Chris Bryant is like a Sherman tank that is made completely out diamonds and has chariot spokes on the wheels.

On Matt Wile -
It was 75? and sunny. And I said, that's okay, because we've got White stuff here too. I just didn't tell him what kind.
Wut? Call the Freep.

"By Andy Reid".
It can't be THAT Andy Reid, can it?
February 2nd, 2011 at 8:28 PM ^
The Eagles coach? No.
The kid who wrote for the Daily a few years ago even though he kind of looks like he's 11? Yeah.

Double post.

Hoke on Wile:
"Matt Wile is the kicker out of Francis Parker High School in San Diego. He signed his letter today and I talked to him. It was 75? and sunny. And I said, that's okay, because we've got White stuff here too. I just didn't tell him what kind. "
wut?
February 2nd, 2011 at 6:34 PM ^
I couldn't figure that out either. I know he was referring to snow here, but the "white stuff" in Cali was what really boggled my mind.
Could sun light be considered "white"? Could the white on the waves be considered white? Could sandy beaches be considered white? I have no idea
February 2nd, 2011 at 7:01 PM ^
I believe he was referring to a Tony Montana-sized mound of sweet, sweet yeyo.
February 2nd, 2011 at 7:04 PM ^
pretty sure he was referring to white sandy beaches
February 3rd, 2011 at 6:25 PM ^
I like the yayo theory better. Not sayin, just sayin.
February 2nd, 2011 at 6:36 PM ^
...he meant sand, but I don't know. How much cocaine floats around San Diego?
February 2nd, 2011 at 7:19 PM ^
More of a meth town really.
February 2nd, 2011 at 10:11 PM ^
I don't know - since you need coke 'technically' to make meth - you can't have one w/o the other. I think SD city is more of a coke town and the surrounding areas are meth - El Cajon, North County inland. Riverside must be one of the meth capitals of the southwest US.
But in defense of the post - considering SD is right next to one of the most heavily travelled drug corridors in the entire world, I'd 'guess' that you can get meth, coke, marijuana, pretty much anything that needs to be smuggled into the US rather easily.

Most of the girls in A2 are white.
February 2nd, 2011 at 8:20 PM ^
+1 for Minecraft
And yeah, I definitely did a double-take when reading the "white stuff" comment.

Where is Plummet High School?
February 2nd, 2011 at 8:15 PM ^
Nearby, in Plymouth. Plymouth Plummet HS. Haven't heard of it?
February 2nd, 2011 at 6:36 PM ^
""Brennen Beyer, is a young man from Canton, Michigan, from plummet high school."
Plummet?! Just a transcription error ... hopefully.
Elsewhere, lots of nice references to Rodriguez. As they might say on MLive, *classy*.
February 2nd, 2011 at 7:05 PM ^
I was thinking the same thing. I guess Plymouth sounds like Plummet....?
February 2nd, 2011 at 7:13 PM ^
It didn't sound at all like Plummet to me?
February 2nd, 2011 at 6:40 PM ^
Did I just hear someone say "white stuff"?

February 2nd, 2011 at 6:42 PM ^
did anyone notice that he says about bennett, 'that was the one i was waiting on'? Does that mean he already knows Willingham's decision? Maybe because he told Coach Hoke he was blue already? Hmmm...

I sense a new drinking game coming on.
