I keep forgetting that it's only Friday night and that we still have a whole weekend in front of us.
WHO'S GOT IT BETTER THAN US?

What is the Ardbeg 200 and where do you get it? I love Ardbeg and am still holding onto a bottle of Alligator which is safely locked away in a safe.

That shit is 1800+ years old. I believe it was served at the last supper. Bollinger Champaign? Central Illinois?
January 1st, 2016 at 11:12 PM ^
Yes, champagne from Champaign has got to be awful.

Happy new year indeed.
10-3 season in year one. Citrus Bowl Champions.
41-7 win over a top-20 SEC team.
Gonna be an even brighter atmosphere tomorrow at Crisler after this win.

Everything sounds good with the mood I'm in. We haven't seen a performance like that in a long time and the reality is that this is just the beginning.
Happy 2016, all.

Thai Iced Coffee to celebrate the win and the New Year. And a bit of Sangria with crushed candy cane. Good combination.
January 1st, 2016 at 9:31 PM ^
So coffee, water and currently, some hot green tea with a bit of honey.

and a couple of tylenol. and as much exercise as you can handle. been a few decades since i was hung over, but some things you never forget.

That sounds horrible, that really works for you?
For me, 8oz of water per drink or shot. I'm relentless. Water doesn't change of the amount of alcohol in your blood, right? All I know is I get my buzz, but I'm hydrated enough to recover a hell of a lot better.
Eat before bed and when I wake up and I'm golden.

the last time i had a hang over. it presupposes you/we/he/they didn't do the glass of water per measure of booze which is an excellent schedule to be on if you want to drink more than 1 or 2.

i realize all the games aren't played, but we are ranked at 14 now, who do we jump over? will we go over iowa or ND, for instance? if ok st. beats ole miss, do we stay ahead of ok st and hop scotch ole miss?
drinking cheap-o red pop from sam's. $6/bottle merlot. just off of the front end loader as we finally have enough snow to move around a bit, start the kids' ski/sledding hill at the top of the slope heading down to the barn. the 'drop in' is pretty steep, and they particularly enjoy it when i can build it high, like 10' high or more. hoping for more snow this week.

my final brew of a great day (took about 6 hours off after celebrating the great Michigan Citrus Bowl win) and chose a Rochester Mills Milkshake Stout after chowing down on some pepperoni pizza.
To answer your question about our final rankings, somewhere in the range of #9 to #11. I just wonder how many voters actually watched our game as the ND-OSU game was on at the same time. Any that watched had to be impressed with Michigan. But was it enough to leapfrog the Irish and at least 4 other teams in order to rise as high as #9?

OK - talked me into it. I will have to crack open some Scotch.

I am sitting here with cranberry juice - alcohol, I am afraid, is not part of the temporary restrictions that they've got me on thanks to the meds, although I do like to pretend that it is a bar drink of some kind. No matter, I still have football and I plan to spend 2016 being a bit more aware of my health and signs that it might be going awry - that's how this whole mess started anyway.

do pay attention to all of those signs, including medical/spouse advice.

Started with a Two-Hearted and then went with a Victory Golden Monkey. Now I'm having some trouble typing correctly--I guess I have to work on my tolerance.
