Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there.  What does everyone have planned for the day?

And as always, Go Blue!

First and foremost, Happy Father's Day to all the MGoDads out there. Go Blue!

As my wife actually works later today, we're keeping it pretty simple here - my kids wanted to help my wife make breakfast, so we'll be enjoying that as soon as everyone is up. My daughter heard me reminscing about a full English breakfast a while back, so supposedly this is what I am getting.

They also apparently made something for me and that is the reason I was barred from the basement yesterday. That was a bit of a shame as I needed a few things from down there to fix something, so right now the wheelbarrow still has a flat tire, but I would rather be surprised by this gift.

Beyond that, we'll probably take the kids to the splash pad in Canton if the weather improves and do whatever else before my wife leaves for work. I'll also call my own dad later - my parents are up north for the weekend, so there won't be the same multi-generational gathering as we've had here in the past.

Last year a buddy gave me two seats to a UM game because his cousin was getting married on a fall Saturday. My dad and I went and sat in the 20th row at the 50 yard line. The final score was 12-10!!! Best fall wedding EVER And happy Father's Day to all. Here's hoping for more thoughts of Brunette girls in 2013

look on the bright side of things.   send the kids to grandma and grandpa's house and get a bottle of bubbly - celebrate the double day!

here i'll be getting kids up for barn chores, then church, then the girls will make a sick brunch for us all.  for dinner there will be singing, some homemade goodies, and all of the children will undoubtedly come in waves with little gifts like drawings, airplanes, cards and a 'grown up' gift or two.  might buy myself a handheld gps today since mine died last fall after a decade+ of good service.

happy father's day to all the mgodads.  it is a blessed thing.  and don't forget to honor your own dads - it will go well with you.

Currently up way too early on vacation in the Ozarks of Northern Arkansas. Drove from South Dakota all the way here yesterday. My 15-month old and wife are still asleep and will continue to sleep for the next three hours. Guess I could do some exploring but I will probably just chill and make these donuts disappear.

I got Yankee tix to a pair of weekend games in the bronx.

Daughter wrote a book about me in her 1st grade class.

golfing today is probably the worst of it (for everyone involved) so not a bad deal!

Third Father's Day for me as a dad. This is the first one with two kids. My wife is making breakfast for me and I'm chilling with the kids on the couch. I don't have much planned for today, which is exactly what I wanted. I rarely get to chill for a day.

Later we will be going to see the movie "Epic" in 3-D.  Watching cool kids movies is a good perk of being a dad.  I will likely be experiencing one of the best perks of fatherhood later in the evening when the kiddo is all gorked out on popcorn and glucose.  That would be impromptu songs about things like armpits and stinky butts with an oscillation of singing voice between choir and heavy metal.

My wife and older (6 year old) son are making me breakfast - waffles, cinnamon sugar puffed pastry things (like mini churros), cinnamon raisin sticky buns and eggs - while I hang with my 2 year old who just keeps repeating "happy daddy's day" despite not knowing what it means. Pretty awesome.

Already got some cool gifts - a bunch of bbq stuff, including a Michigan BBQ platter, drawings from kids for my office, and a new Michigan garden gnome to replace the one that was destroyed during Sandy.

After breakfast, the 6 year old is taking me to the driving range, then some general weekend stuff until our family BBQ tonight.

With your families I wish you well, and for my MGoMilitary members that are deployed like me, it won't be too long before its over. Happy Fathers Day to all the real men doing what they have to do to take care of their kids whether biological or not. Your importance can never be overstated...

My 100 year old Dad passed away in 2011. He worked hard afford to send all four of his sons to UM (paying out-of-state tuition.
Although not a Michigan grad himself, he most

(It's earl and I prematurely posted the above without finishing. My Dad exemplified what it means to be a Michigan Man. Although he was deaf all my life, he was able to communicate those values critical to a life of good works and happiness. I surely miss him as if he was a part of me, which of course he was.
Although my Dad's gone, I still have the pleasure of spending today with my twin boys and talk Michigan football with them, my brothers and brother-in-law. Happy Fathers'Day to all!

My two out of three daughters are in their dance today. The receital is 3 hours long. Since it on Father's Day, the owner thiught it would be fun to have dads and daughters in a number together. So for the last 4 weeks I allso have had dance practice. Dress rehearsal is at 9:45 then show at 5. I am in two separate parts and we open the show. This should be my stepping stone to Broadway. Look out world, here I come! Have fun everybody!

Nothing better than spending Father's Day in the beer garden with your wife, daugher, a couple liters of your favorite brew and some good eats. Can we get another verbal commit today? That'd be the icing on the cake.

Happy Father's Day to all my UM adversaries.  Yes we butt heads but more than the teams we bleed for we share the greatest calling on earth.  Being a Dad.  So cheers to you all, even though you are steering your kids in the wrong direction, my hats off to you.

It's my first Father's Day as a dad. Sadly the wife is in medicine so she went in to work at 7am this morning and won't be back until 11am tomorrow, but Little Wolverine and I will have fun chasing each other around. Plus, my wife got yesterday off so we had a fun birthday/Father's day celebration (my birthday was Wednesday, the previous time she worked all day--sigh, just one more year of residency left!).

Calling my dad and stepdad and wishing them both a Happy Father's Day and then letting my wife and stepsons sleep in.  I'm a morning person, they're not.  Also going to watch highlights of the 1969 Michigan ohio game again.

My dad was an alum from Michigan and took me to my first game when I was just an infant. He had season tickets and I was lucky enough to see some of the greatest moments in Michigan football history (with my dad). I have only seen my dad cry around three times ever and two of them were when I was accepted to the University of Michigan and when I graduated. Go Blue! Happy Father's Day!

Homemade Eggs Benedict is first on the list then I hope to drink some Widmer or Bells while watching The US Open. But I am sure the kids will drag me to the pool at some point.

This year she had another son for me (Thursday), so I guess that's a good Father's Day present, too. It has been an amazing week to be a father in our house. Now, if we can just get a little sleep, lol.

And I was fortunate enought to be at the game in the OP. I grew up around a bunch of Spartan fans and one was kind enough to take me to the game because they knew I was a huge Michigan fan. Some MSU fans are gracious.

Got up at 5am and did a triathlon this morning and got home to get my hugs and cards from the kids. My wife is going to let me pass out on the couch and watch the US Open this afternoon. Life is good!

My team of 8 competed in Tough Mudder Colorado this morning. Held in the mountains at Beaver Creek, was quite the course this year! No man left behind. Went back to the hotel and took the 3 kids swimming and hot tubbing. Got a pair of new 5 finger shoes from them! Finally just got the oldest to bed! Ready to pass out! Glad I don't have to work til Tuesday! A perfect day of self mastery followed by molding minds!

Took my wife, our kids and my parents and sister to the American Polish Cultural Center in Troy for the Father's Day brunch. Lots of fat-laden meats, great soups, a few salads, enough carbs to choke a mule and awesome desserts... Oh, and a cash bar. What's not to love?
