Our O-Line is the anti-MBB
Graham Glasgow to be arraigned on Drunk Driving Charges
No-our OL is the anti MFB
our OL is anti-Kate Upton.
Our O Line is a unicorn.
Anyone know where he can find a twosie to ride in place of driving? A used one would be OK.
Out of curiosity did you happen to move from Ann Arbor to DC within the past year and a half?
can we put a moritorium on shitty news?
maybe just put our heads in the sand for a while...
No news is literally the best news for Michigan football these days.
How is this bad news? It's not even news at all. We've known about this for over a month. He has already served his practice suspension and will miss the opener (again, old news).
can't wait until the MM to the NBA news is official.
Isn't two months quite a long time between arrest and arraignment? I thought that happened in like 72 hours.
You cannot be held for more than 72 hours without charges. He was likely booked and posted bond.
I've seen charges take 15 months in Washtenaw County as they await chemical tests.
Courts are usually slow with small issues such as this.
Had to bring him in.
Try being a 49ers fan right now...
Ugh dude I know. We need to go full Dez Bryant on Aldon, get chaperones on him after dark.
it was blended Scotch or single malt.
Ugh this sucks! Why can't we ever get good news on mich football these days lol. Lookin on the positive side, this oline will be a lot better w Nuss. But Graham has to get his shit together especially since he's our center for now. Lead by example for the young guys.
It's OK, Chad Lindsey will start at center and Glasgow will slide one of the underclassmen out at guard once we dispose of App State.
almost certain we are losing to App. State again.
Arraigned on my birthday YAY!
Remember when 2014 was being praised as the best year ever? That lasted what, a couple months?
It's deja vu all over again.
2014 being magical lasted as long as basketball season. Coincidence?
the UK dude nailed that triple.
Why is everyone taking this as another piece of bad news? It's not new, just clarification. We already knew a month ago that he got in trouble.
but its an MGoBloggers God given right to melt down in reaction to bad news. Please don't take that away from us.
but I just can't shake the "heck of a job, Brownie" feeling when it comes to Hoke.
Now I am un-patiently waiting for the Mitch McGary news. His decision could greatly reverse the fortunes of this board...
Mitch leaving would break the camel's back.
I know this was discussed last night, but per Sam Webb this morning on his radio show, the camel's back will be broken.
i would think the camel would be happy not to have a 280lb person on its back
Same day as Lewan's arraignment. Almost halfway to an O-line in the courtroom that day.
Maybe they can ride to court together on Lewan's twosie.
Interestingly enough down here in Ohio the news of Lindsay's committment has caused barely a ripple of excitement. It was mentioned, briefly, on Cleveland.com "Urban lands Alabama Graduate Center" and didnt even warrant mentioning on ESPNCleveland.com.
Rich getting richer and all that I suppose.
and it was basically "oh hey, apparently we signed some guy" and nobody there had ever heard of him; a poster or two said "cool" and the thread went away. It surprised me because I was so used to when MSU signs a guy and RCMB busts out a 100-page CROOTING! WE OWNZ SCUM! circle-jerk thread. It made me realize how pathetically desperate our fanbase is right now, especially compared to OSU.
those look like mainstream sources in Ohio, and I'm not sure there was a meltdown on the Detroit News or Free Press (or really if they even mentioned it).
A quick google shows there was a 138 comment thread on Eleven Warriors re. this, which is where you'd find the diehards who understand the value of the win. But even over there it's not outright party central, more of a discussion of "great news, do you think he'll play LG?" Some lol's at us, for those who knew he was considering coming here. A puppy. And certainly nothing at all near the rending of flesh we saw around here yesterday.
Why? They're winning, and we're not. Same reason for the malaise on this board, and the apparent lack of season ticket demand. And perhaps... just perhaps... it's not that big of an issue that Lindsey went to Ohio.
I would assume that Urbz would give the guy a 1-year scholly, whether he plans to use him or not, just to keep him from going to Michigan.
How difficult is it to not drive a fucking car after drinking?
I've tried it several times unsucessfully. Some people just have the talent.
Seriously. It's almost like the alcohol impaired his judgment.
Despite being intoxicated he was still able to figure out how to take a piss, or open another beer. Hell, he was even able to figure out how to find his car, unlock it, start it, and put it in gear. Obviously, he wasn't so impaired that all brain function ceased.
There's a big gap between when your judgment goes and when your gross motor skills go. There have been a lot of nights I was able to open another beer but I still did stupid shit.
So you're telling me that no matter how many times this happens, no matter how many kids get busted for it, no matter how many tickets get written, no matter how many times Hoke warns against it, or how many accidents occur, we're just supposed to accept that alcohol makes people do stupid shit and we shouldn't expect people to not drink and drive.
When you're drunk, you're not drunk. At least that's what you think at the time.
more difficult than being some holier than thou message board poster
People make bad decisions man. That's life. The key is learning from them. Luckily, no one was hurt.
Our O-Line is the anti-OL
Big deal. We all knew this was likely the case a month ago.
Where the fuck are you driving to in Ann Arbor to drink? Like there's just no need.
With Taylor Lewan leading this group...this doesn't shock me.
Lewan and his aura is reminding me a lot of Ritchie Incognito. Crazy talented, super tough, total meathead, thinks screaming is leading, a bully, messes up way too much that he tries to help or cares about and truly doesn't know why.
To me, it seems the OL has a culture issue that needs to be corrected in order for the team to succeed.
I think they should adopt the culture of not sucking. I don't want my O linemen getting arrested or anything, but they are supposed to be mean, tough, and play angry. Who gives a shit if they are "meatheads", just stop getting blown off the ball 3 yards every play.
Disclaimer: if anyone mentions youth or chemistry, I'll lose it.
There is nothing wrong with being "mean, tough, and [playing] angry." The issue lies with the poor choices made off the field and the impact they have on the field.
Bo didn't allow his players in bars during the season. Lewan and his OL cronies were known to frequent South U on Saturday evenings after games. Part of being "mean, tough, and [playing] angry" is having that competitive drive that keeps you focused regardless of the circumstances.
Until football is far and away the most important extracurricular to M's players, they will not play at the level expected of them.
And take back his diploma. The nerve. Going to bars on Saturday nights. Seriously, who does such a thing? Why wasn't he lifting and leading?
I bet those Alabama and FSU o linemen went straight home after games.....or probably church. OSU and MSU's too.
I predict they will stop sucking as soon as they aren't so young anymore and develop some badly needed chemistry.
Because of their youth...they haven't had time to gel and build chemistry.
Just because it's true doesn't make it a negative comment. Only you took it that way. I have no problem if he's a meathead...everything else I said after that is clearly negative, but only you took that as a "diss."
From all accounts, it was all factual stuff that I said, the good stuff, the neutral stuff...and the negative stuff.
did i miss lewan harassing younger OL with racist comments or constantly bullying college teammates for no reason? if not, then hes just a jacked up football player whos made few bad decisions and plenty of good ones
Angry Michigan offensive line hating God but seriously we've known about this for awhile. It's not like Lindsay committing to Ohio.
He just sees the writting on the wall. I think we all should start drinking a little early.
I will be drinking lots.
Young men make mistakes, lets move on with what we got against APP ST. I am on the Kugler bandwagon anyway.
Still think the tire fire known as Michigan football can get worse
If we lost to Appalachain State I will be setting some fires.
my doc asked me if I had been exercising. I told him I've been runnin' around panicking a lot lately.
Glasgow seems undersized for a center - I thought we were done with 6'3 6'4 type forced to be centers with the graduation of Novak. No biggie.
But ever since the Furman ordeal and even the Campbell situation ("I heard metal crumple." Sure, buddy. They were totally following him), I've wondered about how AAPD treats athletes.
Rich Rods fault
If it's as BS as my DUI charge, I won't be mad at him.
(Mine was for sleeping it off in the car outside of a bar. Put keys on rear tire before going to sleep. Woke up and they were in my lap... Wonder how they magically appeared there)
Gotta swallow the keys, man
Way to show leadership.
5-star center/guard? RS Fr.?
Glasgow could blame the O-line and coaches for driving him to drink? I smell a lawsuit.
