Graham Glasgow to be arraigned on Drunk Driving Charges
Good news for this program just keeps on coming.

uspended Michigan center Graham Glasgow will be arraigned on a drunk-driving charge May 19 in Ann Arbor, according to court records.
Glasgow allegedly operated a vehicle while intoxicated on March 15, court records say. On March 20, Michigan coach Brady Hoke announced that Glasgow had been suspended for part of spring practice and for the Wolverines' opener against Appalachian State because of a violation of team rules. Glasgow returned to the team later in spring practice.
A junior who started 13 games last season, Glasgow was expected to be Michigan's starting center this fall. Junior Jack Miller is the leading candidate to start at center while Glasgow is suspended.
those look like mainstream sources in Ohio, and I'm not sure there was a meltdown on the Detroit News or Free Press (or really if they even mentioned it).
A quick google shows there was a 138 comment thread on Eleven Warriors re. this, which is where you'd find the diehards who understand the value of the win. But even over there it's not outright party central, more of a discussion of "great news, do you think he'll play LG?" Some lol's at us, for those who knew he was considering coming here. A puppy. And certainly nothing at all near the rending of flesh we saw around here yesterday.
Why? They're winning, and we're not. Same reason for the malaise on this board, and the apparent lack of season ticket demand. And perhaps... just perhaps... it's not that big of an issue that Lindsey went to Ohio.
I would assume that Urbz would give the guy a 1-year scholly, whether he plans to use him or not, just to keep him from going to Michigan.
How difficult is it to not drive a fucking car after drinking?
I've tried it several times unsucessfully. Some people just have the talent.
Despite being intoxicated he was still able to figure out how to take a piss, or open another beer. Hell, he was even able to figure out how to find his car, unlock it, start it, and put it in gear. Obviously, he wasn't so impaired that all brain function ceased.
So you're telling me that no matter how many times this happens, no matter how many kids get busted for it, no matter how many tickets get written, no matter how many times Hoke warns against it, or how many accidents occur, we're just supposed to accept that alcohol makes people do stupid shit and we shouldn't expect people to not drink and drive.
Check.
When you're drunk, you're not drunk. At least that's what you think at the time.
more difficult than being some holier than thou message board poster
People make bad decisions man. That's life. The key is learning from them. Luckily, no one was hurt.
Where the fuck are you driving to in Ann Arbor to drink? Like there's just no need.
With Taylor Lewan leading this group...this doesn't shock me.
Lewan and his aura is reminding me a lot of Ritchie Incognito. Crazy talented, super tough, total meathead, thinks screaming is leading, a bully, messes up way too much that he tries to help or cares about and truly doesn't know why.
To me, it seems the OL has a culture issue that needs to be corrected in order for the team to succeed.
Disclaimer: if anyone mentions youth or chemistry, I'll lose it.
There is nothing wrong with being "mean, tough, and [playing] angry." The issue lies with the poor choices made off the field and the impact they have on the field.
Bo didn't allow his players in bars during the season. Lewan and his OL cronies were known to frequent South U on Saturday evenings after games. Part of being "mean, tough, and [playing] angry" is having that competitive drive that keeps you focused regardless of the circumstances.
Until football is far and away the most important extracurricular to M's players, they will not play at the level expected of them.

Because of their youth...they haven't had time to gel and build chemistry.

Just because it's true doesn't make it a negative comment. Only you took it that way. I have no problem if he's a meathead...everything else I said after that is clearly negative, but only you took that as a "diss."
From all accounts, it was all factual stuff that I said, the good stuff, the neutral stuff...and the negative stuff.
did i miss lewan harassing younger OL with racist comments or constantly bullying college teammates for no reason? if not, then hes just a jacked up football player whos made few bad decisions and plenty of good ones
Angry Michigan offensive line hating God but seriously we've known about this for awhile. It's not like Lindsay committing to Ohio.
He just sees the writting on the wall. I think we all should start drinking a little early.
I will be drinking lots.
Young men make mistakes, lets move on with what we got against APP ST. I am on the Kugler bandwagon anyway.
If we lost to Appalachain State I will be setting some fires.
my doc asked me if I had been exercising. I told him I've been runnin' around panicking a lot lately.
Glasgow seems undersized for a center - I thought we were done with 6'3 6'4 type forced to be centers with the graduation of Novak. No biggie.
/Basketball School
Its too bad Hoke and company can not develop their 2 Top 5 OL classes from 011 and 012...so they can't cut this walk-on clown.
DAMN IT GLASGOW!
Pay your toll.
Had he been a buckeye, they would asked for an autograph , given him an escort home and had a patrol officer outside to make sure no one bothered him as he slept it off.
But ever since the Furman ordeal and even the Campbell situation ("I heard metal crumple." Sure, buddy. They were totally following him), I've wondered about how AAPD treats athletes.
Obama!

Dave Brandon!
(Mine was for sleeping it off in the car outside of a bar. Put keys on rear tire before going to sleep. Woke up and they were in my lap... Wonder how they magically appeared there)
5-star center/guard? RS Fr.?
Glasgow could blame the O-line and coaches for driving him to drink? I smell a lawsuit.
