No big deal. We need to focus anyway.

Uninformative title. It posted from my iPhone before I could correct it. And I don't see an edit function to fix it.
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:21 AM ^
They've covered Bama on gameday like 69 times this year.
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:25 AM ^
Do you really think the team would be LESS focused if GAMEDAY was in A2?
And I apologize if you meant you needed to focus on what beer to buy instead of the team focusing! :P
October 3rd, 2010 at 6:31 PM ^
Big - I think the team will be ready due to it being MSU, but I'm sure Gameday would want interviews with Rich and Denard.
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:18 AM ^
Not that I really care, but I do think that Gameday's decision is pretty surprising. Big Rivarly game btw two undefeated and ranked teams, but whatever.
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:22 AM ^
Especially since they still have Auburn on their schedule @ home.
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:28 AM ^
Bama vs. S Carolina is a good game but they are not rivals like we are with MSU and they are not playing at the big house.
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:19 AM ^
What a slap in the face to State! Looks like they'll be complaining some more about how they don't "get any respect."
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:19 AM ^
That's because ESPN and the SEC are deeply in love.
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:19 AM ^
Conspiracy theory - Seems pretty clear that there is an SEC-bias with ESPN. How in the world can that game be the featured game. ESPN just entered into a major broadcasting relationship with the SEC – they are going to do everything to promote them over the Big Ten.
October 3rd, 2010 at 3:01 PM ^
It could be that the Big Ten Network is 49% owned by Fox.
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:23 AM ^
Stop making this personal. Doesn't have anything to do with the game. Herbie calls the night game, which facilitates the need for gameday to be in the same area. That's the only reason.
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:28 AM ^
Can't Herbie call the UofM game at night?
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:30 AM ^
The Alabama game is on CBS, so he won't be calling that game. It's hard not to take it personally.
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:27 AM ^
S. Carolina will get blown out FL style...
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:28 AM ^
You're smoking something and whatever it is it is some potent shit.
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:29 AM ^
So good I had to edit/delete my entire post.
I was forced to smoke something watching our "defense" yesterday, as I was stroking out.
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:27 AM ^
They're holding out for UM vs. OSU. Denard vs Pryor. OSU to the MNC on the line.

He's already been cleared to play and practice this coming week. Crisis averted.
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:40 AM ^
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:50 AM ^
That's at OSU, Gameday tries not to visit the same campus twice but they don't mind visiting the same team twice in a season. They could come to Ann Arbor for this game then still be at Columbus for UM-OSU.
Of course, if/when we beat MSU, Gameday might come to Ann Arbor the next week for the Iowa game. Iowa has a bye this week so we know that they'll be 4-1 coming into Ann Arbor. Unfortunately, they'll also have been preparing for us for 2 weeks- that'll also be a very tough game.
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:30 AM ^
Surprised by that decision.
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:31 AM ^
Putting my Michigan fandom aside this seems like a lateral move at best. Yesterday they talked about Dantonio's heart attack and everything that went along with it (blood clot), Denard is the Heisman front runner doing things that no player has ever done in college football history and both teams are undefeated which you can't say about any of the other games. This is a lame move by them.
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:44 AM ^
It's cool, they're waiting until we're 6-0 and going against Iowa.
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:46 AM ^
It's not cool! Literally how many times can you cover one school in half of a season? We get it. Alabama is good. But seriously ESPN try being a little more unbiased. When was the last time Gameday even visited Ann Arbor?
October 3rd, 2010 at 12:08 PM ^
i think 07 ohio state? can anyone confirm?
October 3rd, 2010 at 12:12 PM ^
Confirmed
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:47 AM ^
While this game is huge in Big Ten country, ESPN and the nation as a whole is more interested in Ala/S. Car. Alabama is the defending champ with the reigning Heisman Trophy winner. Plus their facing the ol' ball coach and potentially his best USC team. We are still talking about the top team in the country versus a top 20 or top 15 team at their place.
I can wait for the Gameday crew to interview Denard in NYC before he's awarded the Heisman Trophy!

They're probably waiting to do the UM - ND night game next year. It has to be the ABC night game so it will only make sense for them.
I also think they've never really been excited to return to A2 since the multiple visits for the '97 season.
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:51 AM ^
Somehow, I don't think that Gameday almost certainly being at the ND game next year precludes them from coming to Ann Arbor this year.
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:51 AM ^
I am actually a bit relieved. I haven't watched Gameday all year, because although it used to be a good show, it has "jumped the shark" and now sucks. But if they went to A2, I would feel compelled to actually watch it.
October 3rd, 2010 at 12:02 PM ^
Because I live about a hour outside of Univ. of South Carolina I think I am going to go to the college gameday and am thinking I should do a poster board and/or fly the Michigan flag. Any suggestions on what to put on the posterboard?
October 3rd, 2010 at 12:05 PM ^
Should have came to Ann Arbor.

Meh, a little surprised but Gameday usually has a bit of SEC bias
I thought that game wasn't on ABC / ESPN though?
October 3rd, 2010 at 12:35 PM ^
Maybe they didn't want to throw away 30 plus minutes of air time trying to educate viewers outside of Michigan on basics like:
--Michigan State is a FBS program
--Michigan State plays in the Big Ten
--Michigan State went to a Rose Bowl 3 decades ago.
More trouble than it's worth for them.
(I couldn't resist a little fun, but let's be real if this were against a national opponent also undefeated, they'd be coming to AA)

Go Blue!
October 3rd, 2010 at 12:38 PM ^
Anyone else annoyed that ESPN pops a boner everytime SEC teams meet?
October 3rd, 2010 at 1:38 PM ^
Sorry to tell you, but outside of the state of Michigan, many could care less about our so-called "rivalry."
October 3rd, 2010 at 2:05 PM ^
This really makes no sense at all.
October 3rd, 2010 at 2:55 PM ^
ESPN and the clear bias of the SEC conference is something that makes me sick to my stomach. This year the SEC isn't anything to write home about. It's Bama and everyone else. They act like Cam Newton is better then Denard because he's in the SEC (which pisses me off beyond belief) Most of all though watching the Alabama and Florida game last night the broadcasters kept saying , "that's the type of play only an SEC athlete can make." Hell South Carolina could have had 3 losses and they probably still would have done this game.
