Imagine getting paid to announce college basketball and you are lucky enough to be calling the NCAA tournament and you don't even care enough to know who the winner of the game you're calling plays! Unbelievable to me, but just shows how little these guys know.

Seriously.  If everyone could suck at their jobs as much as most college basketball analysts do, the world would be a scary place.

Nantz is the guy who called the Nebraska v. Tennessee Orange Bowl game for CBS and lobbied during the broadcast for Osborne to get the National Championship. I'll never forget it.

I'm stuck missing the game, which is obviously terrible, but I think that I'll be able to avoid finding out what happens until I make it home. That said, is there a way to stream the game online after it happens? I'd normally go to FirstRowSports if I wasn't at a tv and the game was live, but I think that they only do live games. I guess my question is whether there is a FirstRowSports equivalent that keeps all of the day's games up, even once they're completed.

that is single handedly the most frustrating thing about working where I do. I can never watch the games live and if im not home to dvr im screwed because for bo apparent reason every site lists the score of the game by it. why the fuck would I want that information, what incredibly stupid web designer came up with that gem of an idea?

It doesn't seem like they get why people would want to watch games. Obviously the excitement comes in finding out what happened, and given the number of March Madness games, I assume that there must be a ton of people who are missing at least one game or another and want to watch it delayed.

I say that if we are about to win, our fans should start chanting ESS EEE SEE, if only because their weird level of pride for their conference (even more so than for their own schools, at times) deserves to be mocked. The amount they brag about the accomplishments of their conference is incredibly annoying, especially when it was their biggest rival doing the winning. Maybe I am alone in this, but if OSU had won three out of the last four national championships (as it was prior to this year), I would be pissed, not celebrating the conference, as Tennessee fans did.

It might be just me, but the later rounds of the tournament seem to come up against an increasing number of family conflicts, although this one will not be quite so severe. Indeed, I might only miss a portion of the first half due to my nephew's birthday party, but I do publish the schedule and, in the case of postseason appearances, estimated schedule. One of these days, I will be taken seriously, right? Well, my wife says "not a chance", but I am hopeful.

Damit! I was hoping for us to be the later time slot! I'm gonna miss the second half! State and virginia get the 10:00 slot...that's pretty weird

The one and only factor determining victory or loss is our shooting.  I don't think we will lose the game if we shoot better than 45%.  In all our losses and close gamges, we have shot poorly.  If we shoot poorly in this game and we can all book our tickets home.

I think Michigan will be in trouble this weekend.  Opening odds have Michigan favoured by only 1.5 points.  That low point spread is an almost unheard of for a 2-seed over an 11-seed.  I can see the public in general rushing to pick Michigan while the "experts" pick Tennesse.  Where are you Bruce Pearl???  We want you back!!

Tennessee will get a beatdown on Friday like a couple of years ago - Morgan and Horford will do their thing and the offense will be humming, then revenge against Louiville on Sunday! I'm not betting against Beilein with a week to prepare - best tourney coach ever.

They deserve to be here. Resume was an 11 seed, a few impressive wins sprinkled in there. They're playing great basketball right now and deserve to be where they are.

It'll be a challenge, like Sweet 16 games usually are. We'll be ready. We have good players too. Size vs. Skill, round 10 (it seems).

I'm sorry but I just can't judge "good basketball" based on a 7 point loss to Florida, and beating teams that are not up to par. Vandy, Auburn, Mizzou...three teams they dismantled, three teams that are not very good. They beat South Carolina in the SEC tourney, then lost to Florida. Then who have they played in the tournament so far?

Iowa: has been in a downward spiral for the last month or more

UMass: not as good as their 6-seed indicated. Odds had the winner of Iowa/UT favored for that game

Mercer: clearly not a good team; they just happened to have a good day when Duke had a poor day

Based on this...I can't say they're "playing great basketball right now." We've had one loss in that same time span as well, though against much better competition overall.

I'm actually fairly depressed I'm not home (in Virginia) right now. With UVA/MSU the late game, I would have loved to go to bdubs sporting a blinding amount of maize n blue and stayed for that game. I watched the 2011 Sugar Bowl at the bdubs there and there was me, another wolverine, and UVA fan surrounded by a sea of hokies. Would have liked to be there to root the hoos on.

Should Michigan beat Tennessee, has it been announced what time we would play Sunday? I would want to go to these games, and I'm trying to convince my dad, but he seems skeptical of driving 6 hours. One of the issues would be the time of the game Sunday, as he doesn't want to get home at 3 a.m. Sunday night/Monday morning. If there is assurance that this would be an afternoon game, I would have an easier time convincing my dad to get tickets, which obviously is great with more UM fans in the building
