There is a Ross gym - everyone Ross student is the opportunity to purchase a membership every semester, and also can offer one guest pass to a non-Ross student per semester (though that one is $400, so most people will just go elsewhere).

Non-BBAs are totally fine. There will obviously be people who make jokes, and he’ll get called a Rosshole, but nothing malicious, it’ll mostly be his friends giving him shit. I’ve never seen an actual incident where someone is actually mean or vicious towards a BBA student just because they’re a BBA.

As for prestige, it holds up very well. Any ranking of undergraduate business schools will show you Ross is amongst the Top 10, usually even Top 5 in the country, and is a target school of many top firms. People in my graduating class will be working at bulge bracket banks on Wall Street, tech firms on the West Coast, and many great places in between, thanks in large part to the Michigan alumni network.

Current Ross Student Here...

First, congrats to him! It’s a fantastic school. If he decided to come here, he will get a great education and be set up very well for life afterwards with a great alumni network. Ross is most well known for finance, so if he is interested in that it’s a great option. I’ve noticed they tend to try to push investment banking down your throat, and it can be a little overwhelming if that isn’t the career path he wants to take, but you can definitely get jobs elsewhere and people do. There are lots of great companies that recruit on campus and you have access to a lot of great cities. I doubt there’s any school in the country that does as good a job as Ross in terms of placing students both in New York and Chicago. Finally, one awesome and unique aspect of Ross is that alumni get access to career services for life, so if your son is 35 and decides he wants to look for a new job/needs help updating his resume/whatever, he can recruit through Ross and career services will help out.

Not only did that CBS article

Not only did that CBS article ranking the 20 starters in the Final Four have Z ranked too low, it also had Duncan Robinson ranked as the worst starter of the 20, so it’s clearly not a legitimate list

Appreciate it, no worries about the snark! I had one too many mind probes at Ricks last night, so I definitely had a touch of snark as well. Let’s celebrate Beilein and this amazing team!

Protip: look up flights and book them in google chrome incognito mode. Browsers can see your search history and will charge you more flying into any Texas airport because they know you’re booking for the final four. They can’t see this in incognito. When I was looking at flights earlier, the same southwest flights were $100+ more expensive on regular browser compared to incognito

While reading this I couldn’t

While reading this I couldn’t help but think that we can’t have too many nice things and one of these guys will go pro and we won’t get to experience this entire team. That said, if pretty much everyone pans out and we don’t lose too many key contributors... this has top 10 team/final 4 potential written all over it. I’m over the moon excited about this

Sorry about thread jacking

Sorry about thread jacking but between Tremble going to ND and Michigan not getting as many Ole Miss guys as expected, is there any chance Michigan decides to pursue Jacob Mathis as a transfer now? He was one of the additional four players who supposedly had interest in Michigan that was not reciprocated. However, adding Mathis would give us a TE in a class where we didn't take one, plus he went to the same high school (Berkeley Prep) as Petit-Frere, so adding Mathis couldn't hurt.

I'm not sure 20 games gets it

I'm not sure 20 games gets it done. Assuming we win out in our non conference games, 20 wins means we ended up 7-11 in conference play and lost our opener in the tournament. In a down Big Ten, I don't think that gets us in. We probably need to go at least .500 in conference if not better, but obviously who we beat plays a big factor there as well

I had a whiteboard and was

I had a whiteboard and was making signs throughout the game. One said "Shea Patterson > LaVar Ball" (which made it on MLive's photo gallery), and the other one related to Shea said "Shea + Deontay + Van = Ole Mich". The players saw them both and laughed so I guess that's a good sign

This isn't even accurate

The later a game starts, the

The later a game starts, the more drunk college students tend to be. A night game with drunk MSU students and fans in Ann Arbor... there could be some things that don't end well

I think (hope?) that Brian

I think (hope?) that Brian meant he'd be a third banana to Wilson and Wagner, assuming they're back in school

It's possible that in the

It's possible that in the month of May, when Wilson and Wagner are "declared", Mo Bamba sees the gaping front court hole at Michigan and commits; both then come back, and Bamba is so good that one of the two of them sees a significant minutes and usage reduction and doesn't have the chance to grow individually as much, hurting their stock as they grow a year older. Not a likely scenario by any means, but not implausible either (especially for kids at the one and done factories)

It just depends

Typically Walton is very good at grabbing the rebound and getting in transition, but our bigs aren't great at grabbing rebounds and giving a good outlet pass. After Wagner or Wilson grab a defensive rebound you'll rarely see our guards run, usually you'll see Walton or Irvin find the rebounder and get a short pass from them and get up the court slowly

Watched the game

Hardaway looked great. Cavs had a 25 point lead in the second half, but Hardaway spearheaded a Hawks run to get the deficit all the way down to 1 near the end of the game, though they'd end up losing by 5

He definitely has a chance,

He definitely has a chance, but when you think of some productive college point guards recently who haven't made it in the NBA (Napier and Quinn Cook are two that come to mind for me), I wouldn't count on it.

From Youngstown/Warren area? Met Manningham at a Howland/Harding game (I think it was De'Veon's senior year in high school), and went to school with D. Smith. Played on the basketball team with him his senior year, my junior year.

I was usually the one tasked with guarding him in practice, and while he wasn't really that good with basketball specific skills, let's just say a lanky kid with giving up 80 pounds and being half as athletic and a third as strong did not do so well boxing him out

Given Beilein's track record,

Given Beilein's track record, I would much rather see a team that looks good on defense and iffy on offense than the other way around, as the Beilein magic will kick in as the season progresses. And while they did look sloppy on offense at points, I think their biggest problem was just them not making shots. Guys who have proven to be solid or better shooters just didn't shoot well, and until that becomes a trend, I'm assuming it was just an off night. I think we're in a good spot

If I had to guess, he'll see at least a few touches in every game remaining (counting touches as a carry, reception, or pass attempt, but not as a wildcat QB where he hands the ball off).

If I had to make predictions, I'd say he'll get 3-5 touches in all the remaining home games, 7-10 against MSU and Iowa, and ~15 against OSU
