Evening / Late Night Games Open Thread

Submitted by LSAClassOf2000 on

I was frankly shocked that no such thread was currently up as we're typically so conscious of the slate. No matter, a few notable ones:

Florida State / Oklahoma State - currently 10-0 FSU with the first quarter nearly over.

LSU / Wisconsin - this should be an interesting one. I think it is the only SEC / Big Ten game scheduled this season.

Oregon / South Dakota - Prediction? Pain. No, seriously, the line has Oregon winning by an amount yet to be computed.

From all accounts their coach is a good person, and they always seem to be a bridesmaid.  Tons of tradition, cool unis - likable team.  For us older guys they probably had the best college player of that decade - Herschel Walker.  Seems like UM and GA should have crossed paths a lot more in bowl games over the years in FL but alas...

Somehow we've only played them twice, 57 and 65.  Really hope Brandon can get them on the schedule like in the 2050s or so.

I think I read every skill player LSU had last year on offense went to the NFL.  They bring back their OL.

Meanwhile Wisconsin lost a just about their entire front 7.  Lots of newbies out there.

I'd like to think that a Wisconsin win would help change the narrative of SEC conference power, but it'll just be explained away or ignored. Especially with Spielman in the booth.

I'm calling it now. The curse of ESPN to the SEC. All this knob bobbing and the two finalists are not going to be SEC teams. This is going to be a good year. The SEC has not looked like world beaters with the exception of A&M and Georgia.

Is it just me, or does nobody on our team look even close to Wisconsin RBs in terms of speed and strength?
