I know we don't like coach speak very much right now given how much it has let us down much of this year. If it isn't backed up with tangible results the week of the game I agree it should piss us off if anything if it's not translating to Main Street. So just take this with a VERY small grain of salt

Don Brown says Tuesday was "Best Practice of the Year"
Clap, clap, clap.
no booboos no booboos no booboos no booboos
"Best practice of the year"...?
We gon die
..would be even better if the O had a great, best ever, practice !!
for me to poop on!
/s, triumph
I hope Drevno and Hamilton feel the same.
I hope this isn't the best they play all weel... Please, Please, Please translate to the field!
Best practice of the year...with your Mom.
He is not Brady Hoke. This means something.
I am sure the first sentence is true in so many ways I cannot count them all.
I hope and pray you are right about the second.
We'll see come Saturday.
My first double post!
Grats!
Brady Hoke at his “physical competitive practice” walked up and down drill lines clapping. Don’t miss him. He was worse than RR. Clap Clap!
Brady Hoke never had to prepare his anus for Ohio St. That was the one game they were ready to play.
I guess Jennings isn't a big clap guy
I want to flatten ohio on saturday. Just a game that from the start we hit them and hit them hard. Frustrate them and punish them.
the question is, for how long? The offense is the question; if they can stay on the field and generate points I honestly feel the Buckeyes can be in for a long day. If the offense sucks, the long day will be ours.
All I can have faith in is that weird shit happens in this game. Our offense was a disaster in 2013 and the light came on against OSU.
Maybe that will happen again on Saturday.
On the O Line to have a practice of the year.
especially O Line. Let us run the damn ball.
Would love to see the offense do the same. Please God give Peters your strength (or whoever starts for that matter).
They will be on the field for about 50 minutes with O'Korn under center.
They will be on the field for about 50 minutes with O'Korn under center.
I might sacrifice a couple of digits for a big win. I wish it wasn't so important to me but I guess that's the curse of college football fandom.
I could live without 6 and 7.
“Best game all year” after Saturday.
Here's hoping for the kind of game that reminds everyone that opposing teams can't win if they never score and defense can generate points too
Don Brown should be offensive coordinator too
He'd probably be good at it. The dude coached baseball IIRC and was a good coach.
Wiki Source
Brown was named the interim head baseball coach at Yale during the 1992 season. Brown led the Bulldogs to a 26-10 record, including a 14-4 mark in the Eastern Intercollegiate Baseball League (EIBL), the EIBL championship and a bid to the NCAA tournament. Competing in the Midwest Regional, Yale lost the opener to Clemson, before taking an elimination game against Nichols State. The Bulldogs were then eliminated by UCLA.
I mean, it's baseball, chimps would do better managing some MLB teams than their current managers. I'm a Braves fan...I'm not being hyperbolic.
Talking doesn't win games. Let's see it on Saturday. Although Don Brown's side of the team isn't really what most of us are concerned about.
Your point total shows up as negative 10 million. Did you know that?
Kiss of death
Keep in mind that our 3 losses this year, were all to teams that we beat last year.. remember that this is a revenge game for us.. remember how bitterly disappointed Harbaugh was at the end of last years game.. we're at home.. maybe just maybe, this will be our Stanford over USC moment..
Just not with this offense. Don Browns dudes will keep it from being a total blowout though. Will not be shocked if our defense outscores our offense.
To best game of the year for the good guys.
BS to get the team fired up
BS to get you fired up
to give The Team one of his pep talks?
if he said "We have no chance. Just forfeit the game."
If you believe you're going to fail, you'll be right 100% of the time.
Does anyone know who is running the scout team offense this week? Curious who they have to play as Barrett. Regardless, I do believe Don Brown is going to smother this OSU offense.
I just hope the offense can chew up some clock to limit their opportunities.
No, but Peter Bush seems like a logical choice.
.
The criteria, happy feet, threat to throw an interception on evety play, fumbles the snap a lot and makes bad decisions. Any candidates?
Hell, I can do that. Just add in lack of arm strength and I could be a JOK clone.
Tru Wilson.
the spread slipped back to 12. Must be believing that O'Korn will be the starter.
Great kid, just doesn't have it in him.
J'OK is better than Death ( who was better than scholarship totin' David Cone)
At this point I don't really want to hear about great practices tbh
Practice....Practice...we talking about Practice..
There is a lot of truth to that old cliche - you play like you practice.
This tells me they are focused and excited to play this game. Brady Hoke would say it just to make it sound like things were ok. When Don Brown says it, I genuinely believe it.
they're just sick of losing to these fucks.
Was he wearing headphones?
During rivalry week across the country.
I cannot figure out what the second sentence of this post means. I just woke up and haven't had my coffee yet so maybe that's why?
I'm sure the team is fired about about playing OSU and is focused and motivated. Unfortunatley, even if the defense plays great and really minimizes OSU's offense, we still have to score some points, be able to pass pro, and not turn the ball over. That's a lot to ask of our offense against a a great pass rush.
Then ask the defense to do that
Defense is going to score three touchdowns AND a field goal in a game for the ages.
/bkfinest'd
I remember experiencing the "best week of practice" in football when I was in high school before playing our rival. We played like warrior poets on game night. It happens.
Fight like Scotsmen?
Oh good. Before this, I only thought Michigan was going to get murder stomped. Now, I KNOW Michigan is going to get murder stomped. If he "hears football" next, I may just start screaming in terror and never stop.
Maybe the staff should get a book of phrases that they are never allowed to repeat, this would be one of them. I am fully aware of how ridiculous this can seem, but anything to quiet the Hoke 2.0 noise is a good thing.
This is a great D. They need to strip the ball in this game. That’s the one thing I don’t see is punching/stripping the ball when a back/wide receiver has the ball. Going to need to get turnovers anyway they can on Saturday
His D is lining up against John O'Korn. Imagine how OSU feels.
Hoke
Hope that means they figured how to take JT and two RBs out after the first play for the remainder of the game (just for the game).
I thought we stopped listening to practice rumors after spring ?
It's November... nut up or shut up time.
A few turnovers could swing the game to the good guys.
From one Larry to another.
It is a less than 50% chance, but if they can make Barrett uncomfortable, there is, in fact, a chance.
because that defense is going to have to hold OSU to basically nothing - and probably provide some points on their own - if we wants to win with JOK
triggered by any mention of "a great week of practice."
Lets hope Drevno can hear football as well.
if JOK is the starter and he starts off as shakey as usual, watch the rest of the offense. I just think that they have no confidence in him & they will play accordingly. The defense will give their best and it will be great, but if the O has no confidence, the outcome will not be in doubt for long. O Korn is not the leader that we need, but he maybe the only one we have.
Buckeyeo delenda est
(Clap clap)
The Legend of the O’Korn is cemented Saturday.
A few bad drives, especially in the 1st half of key games, but I'd listen to what this guy says.
The MSU long TD drive was bad, as was PSU's late 2Q drive that made it 21-13. Give him mostly a pass last week - the whole team deflated when Peters went out.
What I really hope to see (but am not expecting it to happen) is FINALLY getting some special teams scores (blocked punt for TD, PR TD, etc.) - without that our D will be back against the wall all day.
2007 Broken Henne game here we come...
Some Pick 6 magic would be nice
Practice...Practice... we talking about practice
video from Allen Iverson..
pure gold... I can't manage how to do it
In fact I have no hopes..Until we beat Ohio St Nothing has changed
I'll believe we can stop teams with running QBs when I see it
This^^^^
We did pretty well against OSU last year. If the D plays like that again, we have a real shot.
I’m tempted to post the standard internet meme, “So you’re saying there’s a chance?” But I don’t think there’s a significant chance.
It’s great there there was a good practice. But we had a whole regime of good practices with Hoke, and that didn’t work out.
Let me be very clear that I love Harbaugh, and I think this team will continue to grow, mature and get better. I know we’re all tired of hearing it, but next year should be a real step up.
Yaaayy!! I wonder what our record is in practice? I love Don Brown and I hope he’s right but why the hell would that mean anything to any of us. Just to be clear, the OP is the jackass here for hanging on to some bullshit coach speak and posting it, not Don Brown for sharing coachspeak
If Don Brown says it. Book it. The man has never spoke anything but the direct, no BS truth. Solve your problems with aggression.
He has earned that status and credibility. Not to hear a bunch of nonsense comparisons to Hoke.
It would be more encouraging if he said he ran every stunt he could imagine in practice and the OL stifled them all.
At some point the OSU players have to lose the excitement and hyper focus for this game. I know it's a culture thing with them and Urban does his best to keep the intensity up for this game, but it's starting to seem manufactured on their end. If they're honest, I imagine a lot of the OSU players look at this game and don't get the hype. No one on their roster has ever seen this as a competitive rivalry. I hope this means they are gradually losing their edge and we can sneak up on them. Need to win a few to make this truly special again.
Nice cocktease
Ed: was for Lions game thread but wine.
He said, "Yesterday might have been one of our best practices of the year."

Getting our hopes up over a throw away press conference quote...that turns out to be the wrong quote. Yay!
Fuck the buckeyes
This comment by Brown isn't really all that encouraging
