If our OC doesn't put his tail between his legs, we win in Columbus this year.  We were the better team in the first half, and the score bore that out.  Then there's two in a row on our side, and it's a lot more difficult to say that OSU is unequivocally in better shape.

And, as WolvInLA points out, they aren't beating us in recruiting the past couple of years.  And while the Urban/Herman tandem will likely put forth a more coherent offensive philosophy than Borges, I'd take Mattison and co. over their defensive staff.

I don't think there's a gap any more.  We'll see who's right in the next couple of years.

Of a Michigan fan as anyone, their program is better than ours right now because they have kicked our ass 7/8 years or whatever, end of story. I couldn't give two shits on facilities, good facilities don't mean shot, wins and losses do and we have lost more than them the last 7-8 years. I believe this rivalry is going to start getting more intense again with us trading wins with them.

We may have went 12-0, but most likely wouldn't have. They had a soft schedule, but IMO the coaching staff prepared and adjusted adequately enough to have an undefeated season. Urban stated his revelation after beating us last year (a revelation that was fueled by the subpar victory, if you ask me) that he thought Ohio could measure up to any team in the nation; that they were playing as well or well enough to beat ANYONE.

This was and is a stretch from the truth, but when it comes down to The Game and the rivalry, Ohio seems to have carried a more tenacious understanding of it as of late (save 2011).

Also, the recruiting is, unfortunately, very debatable up to this point. Urban is creating some talented classes, especially within the "skill" positons and generally on defense.

Stats are huge, and OSU has went 25-4 in football/basketball combined since 04'. Sporadic, yes. But this is unacceptable.

Get real. Even in our best years, going undefeated was damn near impossible. We only made it to 11-0 twice in the modern era (97 and 06) and only once did we finish 12-0. Ohio has made it to 11-0 three times in the last 11 seasons alone (02, 06, 12). The fact that they did it this year with a relatively weak team is analogous to what we did in Hoke's first year (11-2), only better. We are getting ourselves back to a more level playing field with Ohio but we are not there yet. Bill Parcells once said, "You are what your record says." Over the past decade, our record against Ohio says we suck, and we have clearly been the inferior team of the two. If you disagree, name me any other situation in sports you've heard of where one team won 2 out of 10 games against its opponent and still had any legitimate ground or basis for claiming to be the better team.

I don't care about Webb. I worry far more about Urban Meyer having the pull to close on recruits the caliber of Derrick Green and Lequan Treadwell in states where Michigan can't get a sniff of the upper echelon talent. If he does a lot of that over the long haul, we are screwed.

I generally get irrationally upset about sports, but I'm not going to get upset about one player going to Ohio State.

You? Irrationally upset about sports? Seriously though, you're reaction to this is proof of how far you've come in less than two weeks, Mr. Yost. The Ultimate Meltdown has become The Ultimate Voice of Reason. Training completed you have. Jedi knight you are.

It is one thing for a Cass guy to go somewhere else if Michigan offers...it is another thing when a Cass kid goes to OSU and commits over a year from his signing day.

Obviously this is not good news, but for a kid that was originally going to wait another year or so to make his decision, I would rather this happen now than 12 months from now for 2 reasons:

1. As the saying goes, a verbal commitment just tells you who the competition is especially with more than a year until signing day. More than enough time to try to flip him. And would be much sweeter if we get him that way.

2. If this commitment is solid, at least the coaches know now instead of having to scramble to fill the spot a couple weeks before Signing Day.

All the Cass Tech players we have got dont ever do shit..Boo Boo, Big Will, Teric,Delonte...I felt Webb was the best of them and watch him be..Michigan needs to go back to the drawing board with the way we handle the Rivalry..go on and flamebait me it dont matter. And Webb citing Academics makes me sick
