Lorenz also put in crystal balls for 2025 4* TE Eli Owens and 2025 3* CB (4* on 247) JahMari DeLoatch

Also notable that Gach goes to Seth's alma mater. His Hudl film is also really fun if you enjoy fundamental run blocking and pancakes

Maybe this is a good opportunity to post this. For a team that's already likely to lose its entire starting front 7 this can't be good news.

this would be the ultimate long game troll.  Get players to go to schools on your schedule 2 years from now and have them transfer in to UM after 1 year at those schools.  And just keep seeding and bringing players each year in the portal as your schedule gets nailed down in advance.

Yes, but look at what those bastards have near the top of their '24 class (which is, as usual, heavy on WR with a QB):

I sure would like to get a full account of WTF they do to finish in the top five year after year after year. Surely some mixture of hard work and black art, heavy on the latter.

serious response:  as much as it pains us to see these mega-stars flock to ohio, remember it is that mercenary approach that has cost them 3 straight years of losing to us, the 3-star mafia (sprinkled with a couple of 5*'s).  they have been suffering from a similar case of money-can't-buy-me-love, just like aTm but not as severe.

I don't know.  I think that's what we like to tell ourselves.  Don't get me wrong - I love our team - but a team can also gel really well with a stacked roster of 5-stars.  See Bama and Clemson national champion teams of the past and Georgia the last two years.  Those teams have a higher ceiling than our team and I think we can only hope that we don't run into any such team in a particular year.

It seems that this year is one of those years because neither Georgia nor Bama looks that good this year.  But if we're being honest, I don't see our team this year (as good as they are) beating the Georgia team last year.

I agree.  Our model is not sustainable without at least SOME high end talent.  We don’t get to where we are without JJ, Will Johnson, Donovan, etc.

We have had Ohio’s number the last few years, but Eventually the massive talent gap catches up to you.  Just look at us in the playoffs and bowl games.

not against harbaugh's recruiting of character guys, his game planning, and his focus on 'the game'.  we all know how many things had to fall so incredibly ohio's way to win a few of the games leading up to the last 3.  2016, stolen; 2017, our kingdom for a functional QB, etc.

Square peg = OSU's talent. Round hole = U of M coaches/team culture.

It wouldn't gel. As someone who works in this arena, you can't take high performing people and dominate a second if there isn't a good culture or the don't wish to be coached.

That being said, I am not as down on the OSU players as everyone here. OSU, with a better head coach in game decision making, gets 30+ points on us.

Actually our game plan was a little suspect. We are just better at closing games out than OSU this year, as the Solid Verbal hosts repeat, "winning is a skill, and OSU lacks that" (although they win against everyone, they really "lost" the ND game...
