Congratulations Kentucky!

You won a game tonight against the most disgusting and corrupt organization in the history of the US.  The only way they ever win is by cheating and bending every rule they can monopolize to win and yet you won!  Bravi.

Wait...Now I’m confused...  are we talking about Kansas and Duke or MSU Kentucky?

1, 2, 3, 4... all with major allegations of some level of corruption or cheating.

congrats NCAA, you’ve turned a blind eye and got the exact tv revenue your handlers demanded.

Maybe at Kentucky, but this sounds like recency bias.  I would equate Calipari at Kentucky to Saban at Alabama in regards to being insulated from the "dirty work".  The programs have people in place to make things happen without him getting his hands dirty.  Just ask Don Chaney about Cal's character, which is still an epic public meltdown btw.  He's still a slimy person, but UK's blue blood basketball status allows him to operate cleaner in his position than prior stops in his career.  UMass and Memphis were obvious examples...can only polish a turd so much.

Yeah, I like Coach Cal too...him and Harbaugh are friendly too right?  I don't know if he's sparkly clean, but I know that some of the things he's been "guilty" of doing involve helping very poor athletes and their families have stable housing, jobs etc. One of those things that within the rules of the NCAA is wrong, but the rule in itself....ehh...

Obviously next time the other team will have to work harder to make sure a bunch of those Kentucky players aren't eligible to play.

I can’t help but feel this is a political post about the governors race vs actual sports related. If so, there really isn’t a place for it on this board, even if it is a clever effort.

Looking at either major US party and declaring them nothing but disgusting, corrupt cheaters, while the other side is a bunch of plucky underdogs taking them down is... well, kind of like doing the same thing for MSU vs. Kentucky.

It works on so many levels!

(but seriously OP the country already treats political affiliation too much like sports fandom. Lets not encourage that)

99% of Michigan fans would claim both MSU and Kentucky basketball are very sleazy and corrupt.

95% of liberals would claim only the GOP is corrupt.

Thus, OP makes more sense as political commentary.

To be honest, I’m jealous of anyone who could read this post and be so blissfully unaware as to not immediately realize the political connotation.  Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind and all that. I’d sleep and live so much longer if I could just tune it all out.
