Barring Gardner's arm being bit off in a sharknado or some other injury, I find it improbable that he is not the starter. Make it a rack of sweaty Ohio hats?

Minnesota by 12 at the half.

But MSU played without Dawson and Appling and Payne were obviously still hurt.
|4 weeks 5 days ago||IU||
Michigan is now something like 5-36 against IU on the road in my lifetime.
Make it 5-37.
|5 weeks 6 hours ago||No||
No on unions. I dislike the NCAA and their ridiculous number of regulations and rules. However, unions are nothing more than corrupt PAC's and I don't see how fighting the corrupt bureaucracy that is the NCAA with what will become a corrupt bureacracy will work.

Rawls went down when the win changed direction.

For Michigan to get into the tourney without any worries, I think that they need to go 12-6 in the conference with wins over Indiana, Wisconsin, MSU and Iowa. If they do that, they won't have to sweat it. 17-13 teams don't make the tournament very often and Michigan hasn't won more than one game in the conference tournament it quite some time.
|7 weeks 2 days ago||9 conference wins||
Winning 9 conference games will give Michigan a record of 17-13 plus whatever they do in the conference tournament. I don't think 17-13 gets in the tournament.

I think you meant to say " who are Sharties".

In what way do you think that changing schemes will be a setback?
|9 weeks 2 days ago||The offensive line can't be worse, right?||
If the NCAA adds another team to D-IA, then yes it could conceivably get worse.
|9 weeks 3 days ago||West Texas||
The line that you have has 31 starts combined. Lewan had 48 starts and Schofield had 36. There will certainly be a lot of competition.

Hopefully I will be able to go. The last time I went to a Michigan game was when they lost to USC in the Rose Bowl in 2004.
|13 weeks 4 days ago||Better execution||
I have to agree you with respect to execution. The line acutually, you know, blocked people in the run and pass games. The TE's appeared to block better and the RB's and FB's appeared to do much better in pass protection. It all starts up front. Gardner had time to watch routes develop. I don't think that has happened since Indiana.

Agreed. It's disappointing that Funchess would not be looking for the ball sooner since opposing teams blitz so regularly.

I am not blaming Irvin. I am stating that he wound up out in no man's land. I know LeVert got beat badly. That being said, Irvin was guarding the guy rolling towards the top of the key and he probably should have stayed with the guy on the baseline since he is closest to the basket. Tough for a guy playing in his sixth college game and a good play design by Charlotte.
|14 weeks 5 days ago||Hmmm....||
So in summary; Mary Sue Coleman, Dave Brandon, Brady Hoke, Al Borges, Funk and Jackson all need to be fired. Then they should hire John Harbaugh, who will keep Mattison, and a really awesome unnamed offensive coordinator who may or may not exist and then watch Michigan win the national championship next year. Magical rainbow farting unicorns are real, too.
|14 weeks 5 days ago||last play||
It looked like Zak Irvin was supposed to have the wing man on the last play for Charlotte. He kinda wandered into no man's land.
|14 weeks 6 days ago||coastal blue||
It wasn't all on the defensive staff in 2010. RR was the head coach who insisted on running a defensive scheme that the coaches didn't know how to run. I am interested in what plays you would have run given that the offensive line can't run block or pass block very well, the FB's and the RB's can pass block, the TE's can't run block and the WR's aren't very good outside of Funchess and Gallon.
|15 weeks 14 hours ago||Gardner||
Reshp1, I was going to ask if Gardner has any latitude to audible, but it appears that he doesn't have much, if any latitude to check based on your response to Space Coyote. That is puzzling to me.
|15 weeks 14 hours ago||Magnuson||
Shouldn't Magnuson get at least +0.5 for form for the block on Glasgow?
|15 weeks 4 days ago||RB pass pro||
The pass pro was better from Green. Keep in mind that to accomplish being better, all they had to do was actually succeed one time in having a running back, any running back block anyone. I am pretty sure that I saw Justice Hayes whiff twice. I will be interested to see if UFER confirms that.
|15 weeks 6 days ago||Plenty||
So tiny creases sounds about right. By plenty....do you mean like eight or ten? While I like Derrick Green and think he should get more carries, there hasn't been a whole lot of room for the RB's to run. Earlier in the year, Green was being tackled by blades of grass. It's nice to see him improve.
|15 weeks 6 days ago||blocking scheme||
I didn't see the whole game, but the part that I did see Michigan was running zone blocking, especially out of shotgun formation. Did they do that in the last half of the third quarter and the fourth quarter as well?
