Congratulations to the Canes!!

Luke looks somewhat clueless. Bauserman sucks big time. Braxton is NOT ready for primetime and they lost 24-6 still having three timeouts left. Hall was the only bright spot on an offense that did not see the field all that much.

Enjoyed the hell out of that game!

Go Blue!!!!!

[ED:BISB;  I love it when Buckeyes lose, too. But LUL SUCKEYE comments will be vanquished]

the big ten is baaaaad. bad bad bad. if we can get the offense to be consistently productive, we could end up with a lot more wins than we initially thought. /knock on wood

That was schizophrenic and incompetent play calling / clock management.  He should have stayed with the freshman all night.  Bauserman is terrible. Miller can at least move the ball.

There's some great reading over on 11W.  For instance:

"I support our guys. I love my team. Right now I am utterly disappointed and not optimistic toward the rest of the season. I will continue to root and cheer but I am honestly a shell of the man I was before watching this puke of a contest."

How's that for a slice of fried gold?

the taste of OSU misery is delicious.  it was pretty wierd to root for Miami and i don't expect that to happen again.  Their schedule in Oct is pretty tough - maybe a losing season?

As much as I enjoyed watching both MSU and Ohio lose today, it doesn't help out the B1G at all. As a conference, we looked pretty weak today (and the last few weeks).

And seriously, why did Fickell give up so easily? Three timeouts and it's a 2 possesion game? Somebody needs to tell this guy that timeouts don't carry over between games.

Yeah that's gonna hurt our chances when they give out the Best Conference of the Year Award at the end of the season. Or when Best Conference Judgment Day befalls us in the ambiguously near future and we all have to take stock of our conferences recent achievements.

Honestly, who cares? Everyone knows that OSU is a perpetually good program and that the Big Ten is one of the top conferences in the country. Just enjoy watching them lose.

Where's the rule that says we have to root for all B10 teams no matter what. In a general sense, sure, Michigan benefits if the other teams in the league benefit. But I can completely understand why a M fan would root against OSU anyway. They're not good guys.

I don't think today proves the big ten is that bad.  Only 3 teams lost.  Northwestern lost to Army.  A depleted OSU lost away to (less depleted) Miami, and MSU choked on it for ND at ND when ND is probably deserving of a top 25 ranking if only they didn't have turn-over-itis.

Illinois has a big win and Nebraska removed a monkey from its bak.  Everyone else performed up to expectations.

Anyway, since when has conference loyalty mattered?  Pretty much because of the BCS where you want your conference to be strong so you can look good and get a higher ranking/ better bowl at the end of the year.

The SEC teams brag about conference because it helps them.  If the lose a conference game they can say "It's only because our conference is so hard!"  If they win a conference game they can say "This is a real achievement defeating such an difficult opponent".

I totally get that, but I can't root for OSU or MSU even agianst ND or Miami of Florida.  I like them to be in pain.  I'm just wired that way.

in Bowl Games.  Outside of that, every OSU loss is a good loss.  Not only because I can't stand them, but because Brady is making such a huge recruiting push in Ohio.  Until Michigan can consistently beat MSU every year again, MSU losses are good as well for recruiting purposes.

Part of me wanted to smile, but I couldn't - it dawned on me that, in reality, a down OSU team which has no QB to speak of and minus several of their key playmakers really can't cope an ACC opponent suffering from a case of suspension-itis. From the beginning, the momentum was all Miami and OSU looked totally lost out there. I could almost say the same thing about Iowa and Penn State, except they managed to shit wins out in their respective 4th quarters.

I'm sure ND is going to climb to #10 in the polls after that victory knowing the media. OSU/MSU would not feel bad if M lost so MSU lost a RT and OSU is in shambles, I'm good with this.

I was at the game. Man, did all of the ohio fans look stunned. What was funny was that the motto of the first half for the ohio fans was, "There's a lot of game left to be played." They we smirking and smiling and giving it right back to the Miami fans (who were all over them, by the way). I'll admit, I expected them to make a run at some point. It just didn't happen. If Jacory could throw a pass before EVERYONE in the stadium realizes that a receiver is open, they could have won by 30. When Miller fumbled, they started moving toward the door. You could just tell that they were not going to score. As always, there were a lot of buckeyes when the game started. There weren't many left when it ended.

Random sadness post.

"Time to worry.

Your coach seems lost and in way over his head.

You almost lost to Toledo. That game might reflect where your program really is right now. Your recruiting class looks like crap and with possible NCAA sanctions still in the wings. things could get worse on that front, much worse.

Miami, in spite of having some talent, is not a terribly good football team.

Wisconsin is a good football team.  That should be a blowout as could Nebraska and Michigan State.  Even PSU and Michigan could stick it to you as could Illinois.

You also now have some pretty good recruiters up north who have already started raiding the cupboard.  Some of the Tressel magic against Michigan was RichRod, who is gone.

You have no guarantees Miller will take you to the promised land.

You assume Urban wants the job.  That is probably a wrong assumption.  He got tired of the pressure at Florida - why jump into another fishbowl with the whiners from Columbus with even more pressure.

Time to worry." """"

-Me sporting the good guys outfit

Should have seen how many Miami Canes fans were liking me in my Michigan outfit.. saying, "Go Blue!" giving me high-fives, and offering me tailgate food.. On the other hand, how many rude OSU fans cussed me out, actually had one drunk guy get in my face about wearnig UM and he was saying "realllly UM?"  After i couldnt find my car for a good while and I was pissed off, some OSU fans in the parking lot started giving me more grief, I simply said "yeah and great game tonight, 6 points on a mediocre Canes team? You're offense looked electric. Hard to win without an offense full of cheaters isn't it?" And when I say an OSU fan got in my face, i mean, his fat beer belly was rubbing on me.

I actually had one OSU lady fan tell me that if I wasn't rooting for OSU and the big10, I obviously am not a fan of football and don't get the concept of allegiance ... They're all winners!! But great times watching OSU lose!
