a classy, young man.

I had the chance to speak to Chris Wormley at this year's football bust.  I walked away very impressed.

He has a bright NFL future in front of him, Hopefully, he does not get drafted by the Browns!

Great player, glad to have had him in the winged helmet these last several years.

Blasts from the past are pretty consistent - naturally gifted, NFL frame, massive upside, either injured or just not fully engaged jr/sr years of high school.

He started slowly, but once the light bulb turned on, he was nigh unstoppable.

Redshirting:  “Well, I think most freshmen come in and try to get on the field and try to play.  But if not and I get redshirted, then that’s an extra year of school, an extra year to get bigger and stronger and work on the game of football.”

Strong motivation and drive:  “Just wait and see.  You can watch film all you want and roll back the tape of the games, but come out to practice, come out to a workout, go in the classroom and I’ll definitely prove you wrong, whoever thinks that my motivation isn’t at 100%.”

Lions? Only if you don't want him to succeed!  They have soooo many needs but it starts with coaching and I haven't seen it with the Lions. I'm hoping Cowboys as they are an up and coming team. ( especially with a trade of Romo ! )

Good luck Chris, wish you only the best because that is what you gave us.

Thanks Chris, you were a beast.

Stopping Barrett on that 4th down should have been the perfect capper to your michigan career, I'm sorry it was taken away from you.

is why I love Michigan football. Smart, classy, talented kids like this.

Thank you Chris for reaffirming my belief that Michigan football is special.

He made the most of his opportunity, and is gracious and grateful for it - that's just the best!

Best of luck to you, sir - your future is bright!

Ever notice how threads like these draw modest post totals and crystal ball threads draw hundreds? The fans here don't care much about the players as people. They become yesterday's news quick and the MGo crowd is all about who's got next.

in one of the spring games before he became a household name, knifing into the backfield, and I was thinking "where'd this guy come from?"  It was exciting to watch him blow up into a talented player that was a danger to every team out there.   Thanks for your leadership and contributions, Chris, and GO Blue!

Will be fun seeing him at the next level.  Can only hope there's another Chris Wormley waiting in the wings.  That would be pretty great for Michigan Football.

GO BLUE!!
