Chip Kelly likely done at UCLA

Could bring Moore to MSU…

Chip Kelly would be a huge upgrade for Sparty.  Is he their next wet dream?

As of 5-6 days ago, RCMB wanted him if he could bring Moore with him. 
 

I’ve heard about some extra benefits that the coach in East Lansing might receive.

They’re reviewing a restructuring of the buyout and incentives.  One rumor is .. $ 50.00 gift cards at your store of choice - they may go “retro” and offer a K-mart gift card with a blue light special in your favorite department.

That's a very realistic possibility, uniformz and chips on shoulders

The program was relevant for two years when Tom Harmon's son was QB. Aloha, Mr. Shoop. 

They have pretty uniforms and embraced "sissy blue" for a week after kicking Coach O's ass

UCLA is like UNC: great basketball school that seems like it should be good at football, but alas.

But..people will never forget the great 7-2-1 season in 1967 when they also won the Heisman.

I was a teenager in LA in the 90s. From 91 to 98 UCLA beat USC every year. So that probably colors my impressions but I think they're miles ahead of Stanford and Cal, they've just been wandering the desert ever since then.

Can't really blame them for not filling the Rose Bowl when students have to drive through an hour's worth of traffic to get there...plus it's a commuter school so many would have to drive even farther. It's nothing like our AA situation where everyone can just walk to the game.

But thier home uniform are so iconic...2nd best in college football.

This program has never been relevent

While UCLA has almost never truly been in the national championship picture, they won 7 conference titles in the '80s and '90s under Terry Donahue and Bob Toledo, and finished in the top 10 nationally seven times. During one stretch under Donahue, the Bruins won 8 straight bowl games, including 3 Rose Bowls, a Fiesta, and a Cotton.

Think it might be a round ball that’s the draw. 

You could tell right off how bad they were going to be when they ended up on OSU's schedule and not ours. I was like "damn they must really be expecting them to fall off!"

Well, I am probably quite a bit older than you because I remember when UCLA was quite relevant under Tommy Prothro, Dick Vermeil, and Terry Donohue. Been awhile...

Other than 1998 when they would have played for the national title if they had beaten Miami in the last game, they have never really been a national title contender. Similar to Texas A&M.

Since Terry Donahue no one seems to last there all that long.

I dunno, I bet if you asked a UCLA fan they'd tell you that it felt like the Karl Dorrell era lasted an eternity.

Pretty sure we'd send an unaffiliated third party to do it.
