Visually interesting (at least to this guy) ... it was shown as a related video on YouTube:
If you go to the ncaa.com page where they stream the videos and click on the Michigan-Tennessee game link, they have highlights posted, including Stu's dunk. A couple of the clips are mislabeled, though.
It was nothing special. Just a 2 hander. The pass was better.
IT'S STU DOUGLASS. STU DOUGLASS.
Seriously? It was from a guy named Stuart Douglass. It was awesome.
throwing it down isn't exactly a normal occurence, particurly in the face of a defender to a certain degree. Then again you are one of the posters bitching about the team and ripping players in every game thread, so what would I expect from a poster such as yourself.
Yeah, and Spud Webb's dunks were nothing out of the ordinary.
And why such a big deal about Ollie hitting a couple of free throws?
Rudy? Pshaw, anyone can get one sack.
And Lucas didn't even catch the damn ball!!!!
It wasn't special because no one else had done it before. It was special because a 6-3 player did it and it was a perfect example of the utter dominance in this game.
I've said this before in other threads, but how you amassed 1000+ points amazes me because you always seem to be hating on basically everyone.
Yes, it was a nice pass. It was also a nice dunk from Stu F'ing Douglass!
When the point counter code kicks back in, this idiot is so going to Bolivia.
Know anybody who dunked like that after hitting a 30-ft. jumper?
every game. No pounding on his chest. No gorilla scream at the fans. No fist pumping. Just cool man Stu slamming it home and then turning to run back up court.
I haven't cheered harder since Stu's thunderous dunk.
It's Casey the PUNISHER!
Can someone make a poster of this and sell it at MGoStore I want to buy it for my son to put in his room. He sayed home from school and took off work for a couple hours so we could watch the game together and we went crazy when Stu dunked on #11. I want a poster of that dunk so badddd.
I uploaded this plenty big so you can turn it into a poster if you'd like:
I've been waiting like 15 years for a pass like that. Flew out of my chair at the bar. Just love the ball movement on this team.
got me geeked up too. as gus johnson would say "DOUGLASS FROM THE PARKING LOT!"
I have to say, I loved it. Hardaway's one hander over the defender on the fast break feed from Morris was fantastic as well. I would say these two plays really brought me out of my seat, but I think I was off the couch for most of the second half.
me too
My wife and I were debating which was better... the 3 from the parking lot or Stu dunking the ball (after THAT pass.) We agreed that they both were worthy of the broken glass that was knocked off the coffee table when we celebrated that 15 seconds of Douglas.
Watched that at work live and I almost lost it! Fucking beautiful!
FYI, if you follow the link I posted above, you can get this picture in BIG form.
Love THJRs reaction in this. This picture needs a subtle Lloyd Brady photoshop.
Look second row from the top of all the Maize n Blue supporters on the left side. There's a guy with his hands up wearing a watch. It's too small to tell, but could it be that a photoshop isn't necessary?
Jeebus..if that's him he's officially become Waldo. Coach K is probably breaking down the film on Lloyd Brady right now.
Tom Izzo thinks this is pretty classless
Well Stu definately taught them how to Doug(lass).
Yea ok, I know that was terrible.
Dear Stu Douglass,
This washed up 5-11 high school forward with a vertical leap just over a foot, thanks you so much for that. Seriously.
Nate
I saw teh highlight on sportscenter at the bar after work. For the life of me I couldn't figure out who morris dished to? Bartlestein? Then I realized it was Stu and I spilled my beer and laughed.
Here you go, in HD:
Look at him elevate. For a moment, it looks like he's reached the top of his jump. Then... he just keeps going.
"No, dang it! I will NOT be denied!"
was I shocked to see Stu dunk, but he had some mad hops on that dunk. He really got up. I had no idea he could sky like that.
the dunk was pedestrian, but nice in the circumstances.

don't understand why a few are calling this dunk nothing special... are we forgetting that stu is all of 6'-3" and not known for even trying to dunk in games? i haven't seen him attempt a dunk since his freshman year and he blew that one... i'm going to guess that all of these people who are saying that this is nothing special can't even touch the bottom of the net let alone the rim... as a 6'-3" white boy that used to be able to dunk many moons ago, there is nothing better then a: being able to dunk period and b: doing it in a game!!!
