Hoke can keep him on the team. He already had two strikes and now he has to serve jail time. Regardless of the severity of his transgression, he should be gone. And spare me this whole we were all young and make mistakes stuff. He is like what 21 years old? It is not like he is 10. He knows right from wrong. He knew that he was on probation and that driving on a suspended license is against the law. He knew that if caught, he risked jail time. Yet he did it anyway. |

implied that he was pulled over by an officer linked to the probation officer. In other words, I think they felt Stonum was lying about how he got to the meeting. The officer who pulled him over probably followed him and once he saw him driving pulled him over. At least that was the impression I got. |

of the transgression, he broke the law. He already had two strikes. Let’s remember that he is not just a normal college student. He is a U of M football player on scholarship and he represents the University. Therefore, it will be tough regardless of what the court says for Hoke to sweep this under the rug. |

how people can say this is not a big deal. In and of itself maybe not. The fact is Stonum has been busted twice for drinking and driving. He license was suspended and he got 2 years of probation. He was booted off the team and allowed to potentially earn his way back by doing what Hoke asks of him and playing on the practice squad. i think Michigan went out on a limb to not just cut ties with him already and this is how he repays them. He is a U of M football player. He has to know that anything he does will be visible and in the press. This makes the University look bad, that a player already on probation breaks the law, as driving on a suspended license is against the law. Then he lies to the probation officer when asked how he got to the meeting. This is just plain stupid. He should know better. Therefore to me, in this instance this is a very big deal. |

I do not see how they can allow him back on the team. I think it is time to part ways. We could really have used Stonum for next year, but how dumb can you be. He is driving to his probation officer meeting on a suspended license and then lies to his probation officer saying he was dropped off. If I was him, I would not do anything remotely illegal so that I could get back on the team. He has no one to blame for this but himself. |

I am sure we can all think of strong armed quarterbacks. One of my personal favorites, is the mullet man himself Jeff George. The man had a cannon and just think what he could have done if his mechanics did not suck. People think Denard throws off his back foot. I can hardly remember seeing a pass from George that wasn't thrown off of his back foot. |

one hall of fame quarterback who could throw a football through a wall. That man's name was John Elway. |

heard anything new regarding Shawn, but I doubt he will get in to U of M. We rarely take JUCO transfers. |
| 38 weeks 1 day ago | Tom Harmon |
I never saw Tom Harmon play in person, but he was a beast from the clips I watched and could basically do everything. Also, he won the Heisman, so he is easily # 1 in my book. There might have been other backs more talented than Mike Hart. I agree with that. I realize that Hart also stayed all 4 years, but he is the leading rusher in U of M history with somewhere in the neighborhood of 5,040 yards. That is pretty darn good. Mike Hart always reminded me of Emmitt Smith, in regards to their styles of play. Undersized, but relentless. Might not be the most physically gifted backs, but they got the job done and did the tough running between the tackles as featured backs. |
