People were talking about him as Simpson, but his shot looks a lot better. I can't say I want him shooting long 2s on the regular but he made them. Obviously his height will always be an issue, and he really needs to figure out how he can drive and score at the rim, but everything else is looking pretty good right now.

And a much better outside threat than Collins. Frankie was a bigger body and had more upside as a lockdown defender against guards of all sizes. But, man...if Dug's ball hawking skills keep growing, he'll be a nasty defender in a very different way.

I’ve been a believer the last few years that the NBA should go to a 4pt shot from beyond the half court line. This makes a 4 point deficit with seconds to go still a game.

Hopefully we dont bring in a combo guard to back up him and Bufkin. On second thought thats exactly what we should do at minimum. I dont think Dug will run away from almost 30 minutes a game like Collins did.

Dug is figuring it out. If he can continue to make step backs and shots off the pick from the elbow, this offense becomes difficult to defend. Plus, while he is undersized, he is like a terrier on defense. Kid is gonna be fun to watch grow.

I love Dug's resilience and poise. He's growing and maturing...
He was 1/5 from the field in the 1st half, hit reset at halftime, was 5/7 in the 2nd half.
He finished with 16 points (6/12 FGs), 5 steals, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and only 1 turnover against a top 5 defense according to Ken Pom.
I saw some people on social media referring to him as DAWG McDaniel. I don't hate it.

If Juwan can get Kobe/Jett/Dickinson to stay another year then next year would be deadly.

I’m torn on Jett and Dickenson. On Jett, yes, he is by far our best scorer. But, he doesn’t play anything resembling defense (and doesn’t appear to even attempt to do so), doesn’t show a ton of effort in terms of rebounding and the team just seems to function more as a unit when he isn’t on the court. Not that I want to see an NBA lottery pick leave, but if he comes back, I hope next year he is more of a complete, team player. on Dickenson, yes, he can be a presence when he is playing well. But, his off-court nonsense can be a distraction. Not sure why Juwan hasn’t reigned him in and gotten him to it that crap out. If the two, I’d prefer Dickinson return, because the 2-big lineup has so much potential if Reed continues to develop.

Dug looked good. This team is definitely getting better and a road win against an upper tier big team is a very solid win indeed.

2-1 down the stretch and a win or two in the Big tournament enough? So many what ifs this season.
Also, are the better off finishing 5th and not getting double bye to give them another opportunity for a win? Ideally win the whole damn thing and not worry about bubble talk.
