Baylor and TCU

Submitted by FauxMo on

Baylor and TCU are the two best teams in the country. I'm not sure MSU and OSU are even in the top 5. Michigan is a top 15 team. This season is crazy.

I'm not totally sold on Baylor or TCU either. Neither team plays a lick of defense and also hasn't played anyone that plays defense. Top 5, I'll buy. But not 1-2.

Best team might be Alabama. That Ole Miss loss was fluky as hell. And they might be the most balanced team in the country.

You're joking right??? Coker threw for 201 yards and 3 TDs in one half vs Ole Miss' much ballyhooed defense. Yes, he also threw 2 INTs, but he had to try and help dig them out of the hole Bateman put them in early, and he nearly did. It took 5 turnovers and a miracle arm punt of a TD "pass" for the BowtiedBlackBearLandSharkRebs to beat the Tide by 6... In a shoot out... Against a defense littered with future NFL talent. Bama's offense would rip through this year's TCU and Baylor defenses like the sieve that they are. Meanwhile, while Bama wouldn't shut down their offenses, I don't think there's a unit in the nation that could do that... They would definitely slow them considerably and make them work their asses off to cross the GL. Remember, TCU and Baylor are scoring at will vs teams where not only do they have superior coaching and game planning... But save for maybe Oklahoma, they have better athletes than those teams as well. They certainly won't out coach Saban, or out game plan... And Bama has an entire roster littered with 5 *'s. Their 3rd string would likely start over half the teams in their conference. Twice this season UofM has held a team to 105 yards of total offense or less... The only other team to do that??? You guessed it, the Tide... When they held ULM to a whopping 92 yards.

P. S. I live in the south and have grown to despise Alabama... But I have to give credit where it is due. TCU would have the best chance to beat them of the two. In the Saban era, the recipe to beat Bama is an uptempo spread offense with a dual threat QB (Tebow, Jefferson, Cam, Manziel, Marshall, Wallace, Jones, Kelly, etc.). They eat pro style offenses and drop back QBs for lunch, which is why I knew they would beat UGA... I didn't know it would be that lopsided, but I figured they'd focus on containing Chubb & Michel and make the QB beat them down the field.

I think TCU can be beat by teams that are able to control the clock. Minnesota almost beat them because of this.

Baylor is good, but their defense is average at best.

Oklahoma will beat one of them.

TCU Baylor game is gonna be 90-87 this year

TCU's defense is way too banged up and Baylor doesn't play defense.

TCU has had some rough moments. Everyone has really. With what's happening right now the polls should change drastically tomorrow. Clemson is going to move way up if they can finish BK.
