Ashley's TONIGHT 8:30 (Roll Call)
Barring a large offer from the Raiders, I will open the tab at Ashley's in Ann Arbor tonight starting at 8:30 for a celebratory 100 pints of beer. To qualify you need to be wearing a Michigan hat, khakis are optional. Let's enjoy the first night of our Honeymoon! Is anyone interested in me bringing my stuffed wolverine for photo ops?
Ian Rapoport is reporting that Jim Harbaugh himself will be in attendance, but then again we know how on top of it he is.
Curious to how many people plan on showing up so let's roll call it. "UofMDDS96 party of 100 right this way."

As a former bartender, I strongly urge that you include bottled beer. I'm having PTSD about trying to pour 100 pints.

I've bartended at nightclubs, neighborhood bars, fine dining, sports bars, an an Irish Pub. I've poured thousands upon thousands of beers. Here's a handy hierarchy of how much things suck from a bartenders perspective:
A round of shots (everyone wants a different shot... always ordered when my ass was getting kicked)
Muddled drinks (old fashioned, mojitos)
Martinis with sugared rims or sugared fruit (screw you and your lemon drop martini)
Martinis
Fancy mixed drinks (do YOU know the difference between a hurricane, bahama mama, zombie or rum runner???)
Guinness (or any nitro beer... gotta let it sit for a thick head)
Shots with fruit (lemon drop, chilled tequila with training wheels)
Other draft beers
Shots
Mixed drinks
Anything on the rocks
Bottled beer
Bucket of bottled beer (you win in my book)

Just kidding. Although I do enjoy a Guiness. I said pints since Ashley's is known for that and there are some many drinking thread beer people on here, but I get you.

but back in the day there wasn't alot of the foo-foo drinks at charlie's. beer, some shots, maybe a kamikazee or G & T, but nothing that was too difficult.

I will be about 1,000 miles away, but enjoying a celebratory beer in spirit. Ashley's is what I miss the most in Ann Arbor.
