8 Spartans suspended
Yeah. A few starters and some guys that get significant time. Gonna hurt them in the bowl game if they are not allowed to play.
Let's hope these players take better advantage of their second chance than Winston did.
Lets hope that they don't!
MadtownMaize (OT Michigan) was right. Just a little off on the 15-20 number.
http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/ot-michigan
Nice call. Give that guy a Pulitzer.
from the Freep (so I won't link) but
The release also states that MSU Police have identified 10 suspects and are looking to identify five more. It's unclear whether any of the remaining five are football players.
According to the release, “the 10 suspects were identified following interviews with victims, witnesses and a review of on-site video. The evidence regarding the actions of all suspects is still being collected.”
So there are still five suspects to be identified, could be some players in that group
I will never doubt MadtownMaize again. He is a clairvoyant.
do the Sparty's who forgot to bring their ski masks to the banquet feel about now?
Its just a hunch, but I am guessing that the five remaining suspects who have not been identified were the ones wearing the masks.
...MadtownMaize, is a fuckin' genius. Take notes boys.
Per the article posted by the other brian... "B.J. Cunningham, Mark Dell, Ashton Leggett, Chris L. Rucker, Fred Smith, Brynden Trawick, Ishmyl Johnson and Jamiihr Williams have been suspended for violation of team rules,
Dantonio said.”
Didn't RR recruit Fred Smith?
Rosenberg's piece tommorrow: "Rodriguez's 'Win at All Costs' mentality corrupts naive MSU player."
In an exclusive interview with Fred Smith, Rosenberg "elicits" the following quote from the hurt and confused Spartan: "After I met RR, my life just lost all sense of direction. It's like I'm a totally different person...a much worse person. Fortunately, Coach Dantonio promised to baptize me tommorrow in the team whirlpool. I'm confident that my life is heading in the right direction under his firm, yet gentle hand."
Now we just have to wait to see if there are any actual sanctions.
Like, are they not allowed to practice with the team but they can be AT practice and just happen to be running routes while the rest of the team does the same thing?
Or perhaps this suspension is set to expire 5 days before the bowl game so as to make sure they get the idea. Next time, don't leave witnesses.
Mike Rosenberg finds this to be erroneous.
But that damn Justin Feagin...
Some good schadenfreude right there.
Big names held by little men. These guys are cowards and suspension is too good for them. But you can't blame Dantonio. He goes to church every Sunday.
He might want to give these guys a second chance. Forgive and forget.
None of them were packing!
you can see MSU's athletic facilities in the first 20 seconds of the video
Four of the players are starters and nothing yet on the Detroit newspapers sites yet....amazing double standard....
Huh, if they are suspended for a few practices and then play in the bowl game -- Dantonio should be fired!
Heck, if he keeps on beating us there is no way he'll be fired.
hear the thud of valenti's head hitting the floor over at 97.1???
I await with baited breath...
To Valenti's defense, he wasn't in favor of bringing Winston back.
that valenti didn't want winston back on the team that fast. but he can't be happy that 8 players just got nailed.
The difference between what Valenti says about MSU and U of M is his attitude. He may be upset about what's going on at MSU, but I don't hear him saying that Dantonio should be fired and how he's ruining the program and is the worst thing that ever happened to the school. MSU's players carry out a premeditated violent hate crime and it's a very bad thing. Boo Boo doesn't show up to some study sessions and a couple practices and it's the arrival of the Antichrist.
OK because he didn't damage anything important.
MSU v UM Next Year at the Big House
BLACK SKI MASK OUT......Complete Stadium with Black Ski Masks?
I think it would be funny....
(Edit On second Thought, it might make the Spartans feel too much like a Home game, with stands filled with apparent criminals in ski mask)
PS I can Out Drive Tiger Woods
Just really disappointing. Even as an M fan, I feel bad about this. These players should have known better. Winston was lucky to get off with as little punishment as he did, and to be allowed back on the football team. I question Dantonio letting him back on the team immediately, but I'm all for giving kids second chances. You'd like to think he's better off at a college than he is on the streets without an education. Players should have learned from Winston's situation and it's one thing to take similar actions, but a whole other monster to take these actions with Winston. They gotta know that good things are not going to result from goofing around with this guy. Gotta influence him in a positive way and not let him influence you in a negative way. Frustrating to see from kids to say the least.
I'm surprised that Dell and Cunningham were on the list - those are legit targets for one of the better passing offenses in America.
I'm sure they will be suspended until the second series of the bowl game, when all will be forgotten and MSU ekes out a hard-fought 47-20 loss to CMU.
8 suspended plus two kicked off team = 10. There are 10 Commandments! Just like how the 7 wins was a sign of biblical completion, this is a sign that the Spartans are on a religious path to eventual glory. They didn't kill anyone, and there is no commandment that:
"thou shall not beat the shit out of innocent undergrads."
SPARTY NO!
It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the News vs. the Freep (and the LSJ as well).
I am hopeful the ski mask thing can live long in U-M/MSU legend. I am even more hopeful that the U-M program will do absolutely nothing to top this (in terms of infamy) for the next twenty years.
or, like, ever
Indeed.
Cmon Spartan players, don't beat up the smart ones on campus! There is so few of them to start with. Rumor has it that the 5 incoming students that can already do basic algebra are starting to look else where for the education. 2 of the 5 are applying to the hair college down the road, and one of them has already been accepted to hamburger university. That doesn't leave too many to do your school work errrrr tudor you for the upcoming semester. please be more selective in who you target.
but you opened the door with a comment about "smart" people
There ARE so few of them to start with
PS: I didn't neg you, I would have if you had written "their"
At first I was going to respond all defensively about your grammar correction, then I thought about fixing my mistake so people would wonder what your post was all about. ahh hell, I messed up. And yes it is pretty ironic that my post was about MSU students not being very smart, and instead nailed myself. What is really funny is in another post I looked up "prestigious" to make sure I spelled it right so I wouldn't look stupid. It's true, I'm not smart enough to be an U of M alum, but I am smart enough to be a fan. Go Blue!
Eh, I dont know what to think about this.
I will wait for Rosenberg and Doctor Worm to explain how a program with a gang of starters plotting a breaking and entering and violent attack compares to one guy deep on the depth chart comitting fraud by brokering a fake drug deal before making any judgement.
What do you want? Seriously, what do you want? Should Dantonio have executed them? Rodriguez is covering up NCAA infractions, there have been no further reports on the rape of an innocent woman by a Michigan football player, yet Dantonio takes action on this within a week, suspending key players from the team. Yet somehow you're still complaining about Dantonio? You people are beyond obsessed. You've whipped yourselves into a frenzy of jealousy and hatred, and I can't say I blame you. Being afterthoughts in every major sport must rankle for an institution that prides itself on being the leaders and the best.
If those guys are thugs, then deal with them as thugs. But for strangers to cast judgment on a case where they don't know the facts is ridiculous. Villifying Dantonio when he punished the players involved is crazy. Dantonio is at fault because of what his players did, even when he meted out punishment? Is Rodriguez then at fault for all the crimes his players have ever committed? That's a pretty long list. Are you sure you want to apply this standard to coaches?
but you're the one posting on a University of Michigan sports blog....
It's a green ski mask.
Rodriguez acted swiftly in the Feagin case.
There aren't any infractions, it is a witch hunt.
Would you have beat Michigan without Glenn Winston this year?
And what facts are you talking about? An angry gang of large men raged into a dorm room and beat the hell out of women and engineering students... er... women
The reason we are all bitching about Dantonio is because these players have been suspended and will probably be back just in time for the bowl game.
Actually, I wasnt even complainging about Dantonio. Or blaming him for anything.
Didnt even mention him in my post.
I was mocking Rosenberg. And, poking a little fun at you, my green and white friend, in the process. I mean, c'mon I was too busy at work to get in on the pile fest during the last thread.
Good luck against the Heels tonight.
That is all
that you castigate "strangers who cast judgment on a case where they don't know the facts..." just after you accuse Rich Rodriguez of covering up NCAA infractions and a Michigan football player of committing rape. Please enlighten me. You seem to have all the facts, Doctor Worm. I think what "rankles" us is the double-standard in the media. Rodriguez is lambasted in the press for overworking his players and recruiting young men with character issues. Explain to me how Winston does not have character issues or any of the thugs involved in this incident for that matter. And do you honestly think the Spartan football team doesn't exceed the 20 hour per week limit? Even if they do so voluntarily? And since nothing has emerged from that investigation, I'm suspending judgment. You should, too. We are angry because the aforementioned double-standard seems to exist as an accepted part of reality. Nonsense. I, for one, am glad Dantonio took prompt action and punished these players. On the other hand, I'm still peeved that Rodriguez has to be the whipping boy of the state because of Dantonio's saintly persona. It's bullshit.
You missed the point of the earlier post and it's continuing again.
Once again really slowly.
The problem is how ROSENBERG deals with each situation. Michigan guy is thrown off the team and it comes out that he ripped off a guy on a fake drug deal. The guy hadn't gotten in any real legal trouble before and his high school coach said he wasn't aware of anything. Rosenberg: RODRIGUEZ WIN AT ALL COSTS, SHOULD HAVE KNOWN. Michigan State guy is allowed to walk from jail to the practice field, and he's again busted for a second premeditated gang beating less than six months after leaving jail. Rosenberg: makes excuses for Dantonio and acts as if it's all no big deal.
The seeming attack on Dantonio is more about the freeps double standard than the coach. And, don't need to know all the facts to have an oppinion about players breaking into a building and beating up people.
I am no Dantonio hater. I respect him for being a solid guy, and probably a good coach. Kudos for him for suspending the players that made a poor decision.
But..... "the rape of an innocent woman by a Michigan football player" is a quote from you Dr. Worm. Then in the same post, you call others ridiculous for casting judgment when they do not know the facts.
So everyone, Dr. Worm is either:
A. The innocent girl that got raped by a Michigan player, because she would certainly know the facts.
B. The rapist Michigan player.
C. Full of shit and hypocritical for spouting his "ridiculous" mouth off when he is not certain of the "facts".
I think that before and after this thread, we pretty much all would bet the farm on C.
because he approved of the behavior by the way he handled he the fist Winston case. I'm not sure I have a RB so maybe I need to let him come straight from the jail cell to the practice field. Therefore, Dantonio is complacent in the second incident by not setting precedence the first time thug life took over in Spartyville.
That may have been unintentional, but it was awesome.
an intentional Freudian slip methinks
there have been no further reports on the rape of an innocent woman by a Michigan football player,
Oh, you have details? You know for sure that a Michigan football player raped someone? Or did you hear the words "sexual assault", which you'd get charged with if you walked up to a stranger and slapped her on the ass, and just make shit up Sparty style?
I'll hand this to you: you're probably right about what it feels like to be an afterthought. Thirty years of experience will do that to you. You're a member of a fanbase whose bumper stickers all say Screw The Blue, Have You Kicked A Wolverine Today, Muck Fichigan, and Ann Arbor Was A Whore, and who think a Michigan loss is the same or better than an MSU win, and you're complaining about bitterness and jealousy. The delicious irony of it all.
To take this literally, it sounds like a good way to lose a foot.
I've never seen any of these bumper stickers (except for "Ann Arbor was a whore"). I'm sure they are around in large quantities, just never seen them. They aren't very creative.
I've personally seen all of them except Screw The Blue, but you can see most if not all by image-searching for "msu bumper sticker." There's a whole bunch more I didn't even include. Like "Michigan State: The REAL university of Michigan" which a history teacher at my high school had. I swear there has never been a fanbase anywhere so obsessed with another team, with the possible exception of Red Sox fans.
But for strangers to cast judgment on a case where they don't know the facts is ridiculous.
Rodriguez is covering up NCAA infractions, there have been no further reports on the rape of an innocent woman by a Michigan football player
Kinda contradictory, no? You guys are fucking amazing, seriously, fucking amazing. You should all be ashamed, especially those of you who attempt to spin this.
How long is this suspension? I'm really curious, as I haven't yet seen anything definitive. If Dantonio suspends them into next season (at least a couple of games), that would be borderline acceptable. If it is just for your bowl game, it's bullshit.
Discipline is something that is not lacking in Ann Arbor in general. Feagin was dismissed immediately, and for-IME- a much lesser offense than what nearly 20% of your whole damn team just did; further, it seems to be a repetitive thing in EL. But yeah, it's probably RR's fault anyhow, somehow.
Seriously, just go away if you're not going to contribute anything meaningful here.
Rodriguez is covering up NCAA infractions, there have been no further reports on the rape of an innocent woman by a Michigan football player
I don't even know where to start with this one, so I won't.
God a hate Sparty.
You are extraordinarily dim, in the true senses of "extraordinarily" and "dim."
THIS IS NOT ABOUT DANTONIO. THIS IS ABOUT ROSENBERG AND THE DETROIT MSM.
I personally think Dantonio was a brilliant hire for MSU, I think he's a good football coach and a better politician (and I mean that in a good way).
The problem, from our (if there is an "our") perspective is NOT Dantonio. It is the lack of scrutiny of his program by the MSM compared to the Hubble-like scrutiny of RR and UM.
Yes, we are all jealous of the mob violence, burning couches and tear gas that MSU has to offer.
If you are going to mention "NCAA sanctions" please provide an argument instead of baseless hyperbole. Talk about not knowing the facts.
If you want to compare lists of crimes that players have committed, I think you will have to spot us a few, seeing as how you are about 10 up on us...

No. Of course we do not want to apply this standard to coaches. But, unfortunately, the media has already applied this standard to RR. So what everybody here is doing is simply applying said standard to Dantonio. If you are going to crucify RR for having recruited a coke "dealer" then you should immolate Dantonio like a rum-soaked davenport for having recruited violent criminals.
Come on mods - you have gotten rid of 2 idiots lately...let's make it 3. He does nothing but troll.
Seriously?
Who got banned?
KOB and tomhagen
I didn't know that.
Not a big loss...
Tomhagan kept beating the same dead horse, but I thought it was OK for him to stick to his opinion. And Belch survived his -900 point score - what'd he do this time? I was wondering how quiet he was keeping after the tUOS loss.
You call them "tUOS". They are OSU or Ohio State. We don't need to use these stupid non-creative acronyms. It's a type of snideness born out of a feeling of inferiority to make fun of other teams by making fun of the name of their school (like calling us scUM, because that's just hilarious when you realize that UM is an abbreviation for University of Michigan).
I personally feel that we should make fun of OSU and MSU by using our advantages over them (superior academics, tradition, and athletic record), which is based on a feeling of superiority.
When he announced his college choice, he said, "University of Ohio State."
I'm curious about why Belch got the hammer too. After the complete negbang meltdown halfway through the year, it seemed like he was attempting to behave himself. I even remember some optimistic posts before and after the OSU game.
Was it the sheer negative point balance that did him in, or did he do something stupid?
1. Please explain what evidence there is that Rodriguez is covering up NCAA infractions. I will not rule out the possibility that they occurred (though I doubt that anything of substance did), but I will rule out the possibility that the Michigan compliance office would assist Rodriguez in doing so, as well as the possibility that between the compliance office and the outside firm that Mary Sue Coleman brought in will not find any existing major infractions. The only way that could happen is if there is a case of monumental incompetence or a vast conspiracy. It simply isn't feasible.
2. Regarding the alleged sexual assault (which, for the record, does not necessarily mean rape), if something serious happened, whoever did it should be kicked off the team. However, there hasn't even been a named player, meaning the investigation is ongoing and not necessarily clearcut. Should anything substantive turn up, I'm reasonably sure that Rodriguez will kick the said player off the team, using his reaction to the Feagin incident as a model.
3. We're complaining about Dantonio because his previous leniency with Winston is one of the reasons that a sizable number of MSU football players are largely undisciplined and thuggish off the field. This is the second consecutive year in which members of the MSU football team have been involved in a violent criminal act. The first time around, Dantonio gave Winston a three-game suspension during the season (conveniently inviting back for the Penn State game so that he could return kickoffs) and let him right back on the team after serving a six month prison sentence. This isn't exactly condoning violence, but it is far from being a severe deterrent. He let his players get out of line and the result was the Rather Hall incident.
4. We have never been, nor will we ever be jealous of MSU. First of all, at Michigan, we pride ourselves for academics in addition to athletics. Second of all, we have dominated you in football forever (series record is 67-30-5). We beat up on you for most of the decade too, so arguing that our winning record against you (like in basketball, which we don't really care that much about) isn't born of wins decades ago. Oh, and while I can't find the all-time record in hockey (you may lead this) we did sweep you 5-0 last season.
5. Coaches aren't necessarily responsible for first-time offenses on their team (though they are obviously responsible for punishing these). They are always, however, responsible for second-time offenses because second-time offenders are playing solely because of the coach's judgment of their character. Hence our problem with Dantonio letting Winston back on.
6. OK, generate the number of crimes that have occurred under Rodriguez and Dantonio. Then adjust for the length of time each coach has been in the league (you may want to weight more recent incidents higher to produce a picture of how a coach has been doing recently, although I doubt that you do considering the recent incident involving a minimum of ten football players last week). I'm willing to bet that with any legitimate system here, you'll find that there are more crimes going on under Dantonio, but I may be wrong. However, considering that Dantonio just got an additonal ten crimes last week, I think Rodriguez wins this one.
lacking, or in parlance you might understand, they sux.
The issue, as with in the other post you ranted on earlier, isn't necessarily about Dantonio and control of his program.
True, some posters have questioned his control of the program, which I think at this juncture is a legitimate question, but not the central theme of what people are discussing.
The issue that the majority of posters here are concerned with is the double standard that has been apparent in the media with regard to Dantonio and Rich Rodriguez.
Look at it this way, based on the following incidents, the media has raised questions about RR's character, his values, his ethics, his ability as a coach, etc. Seemingly they jump on anything and everything and portray it in the most negative manner possible.
-Feagin: booted from the team the moment his transgression was public, no ifs, ands, or buts. A non-violent, non-cocaine possessing charge that basically amounts to small-time fraud. Gone.
-Grady: a DUI, suspended for a time, re-instated, put in dog house and on watch. Again, a non-violent crime, although certainly the potential to do some damage, though luckily didn't. A good example of where a second chance was earned, though certainly sustaining damage to his career with lost time.
-Michigan football player attacks a michigan hockey player: violent crime, he is permanently removed from the team, subject to criminal penalties, no second chance.
-practice time overage: may or may not be an infraction, but media certainly reported in a manner that is not consistent with an unbiased viewpoint. Please see comments from Tressel, PAterno and MSU players themseleves about the amount of time normally dedicated to football in a normal week for clarification.
-anonymous M player accused of sexual assualt (not rape, there is a big difference). This is under investigation, you can be sure of two things.
1. if the charge has substance, you can be sure you will hear about it as it is under investigation and you can be sure that the media will provide you with every last detail and somehow impune RR's character as a result
2. if an M player is guilty, he is gone off the team for good. no questions asked.
Ok, now MSU:
-Winston: convicted of a violent assault that put an MSU hockey player in the hospital that was only a misdemeanor by virtue of the fact that he pleaded to the lesser charge. Vilone t crime that if it was as harmless as you seem to indicate, would not have received a 6 mos. sentence in the pokey. It was a serious crime. No on pretends the hockey player sat there and innocently begged winston to leave, but the fact reamins that he was sitting in his house, Winston and Co bust in and kick his ass. Did he try to defend himself? Likely, would't you? Winston SERVES A JAIL TERM, and is then back in a Spartan uniform days after his release with no further punishment. No suspension, no lost playing time...nothing. What message does that send to the other players? Tolerance. Acceptable.
-now this incident, which we are all aware of. You spent a long time in an earlier post today question everyone and calling them biased and denying the allegations, now you switch your tune once the facts are a bit more clear and more players are implicated.
The million dollar question now is why hasn't the press been on this and applied the same character assasination employed for RR?
I think now the media will be hard pressed to ignore this and the pass given Dantonio as some sort of saint will be revoked.
2 players kicked off, 8 suspended and 5 more under investigation, well....hard to ignore.
You had better hope the security tapes don't make it to TV, b/c that will set your program back a decade.
You call me obsessed but you troll our boards like anything you have to say is relevant. You are State, you're nothing, a nobody and the only relevance you've ever had is simply that you are defined by Michigan and, largely, by losing to Michigan.
Don't lecture me or the rest of the fanbase about how your "coach" lacks culpability for a legitimate assault.
A pathetic apologist. You are nothing more than that.
this is what happens when you give guys like winston second chances, with almost no retribution for his mistakes. At least it looks like winston in done, but the other 8 that are just suspended should be suspended for a while. I mean they went after there own students/fans and from everything ive read it ws pretty brutal. If Dantonio doesn't suspend these guys for at least 5 or 6 games of next season he is even more of a bum than I thought before.
The MSM can only do one thing, condemn this act and demand that Dantonio suspend these guys for whatever period of time. That's a no-brainer and no journalist is dumb enough to pass up a cheap ride on the high road pony express.
The double standard will be that no one will suggest that he's lost control of his program (2 incidents in two seasons) or that he's a poor judge of character as would be the case if this happened at Michigan under RichRod. OR that a recruit's parents should steer kids away from State because of the thug atmosphere (I actually think there's a legit argument to be made here). Lloyd would get the Dantonio treatment, so this isn't a Michigan v. MSU thing. Its a RichRod persecution.
The interesting thing will be if this vaporizes Dantonio's good will. Barely .500 over his career as head coach coming off a huge let down from where pre season expectations were. We shall see.
Oxy Morons!
There are no signs of intelligent life near the Cedar River.
Seemingly intelligent effort to thwart identification, ski masks, counteracted by each player wearing game uniforms clearly identifying them with Numbers, and Names on their backs, and repeatedly referring to one another by name in front of witnesses.
Or so I say
There are a few MSU guys from The Only Colors that occasionally post here, they are intelligent and well-thought, or the complete opposite of DoctorWorm.
the Free'p and Rosenberg will have worked out a scenario that will clearly lay the blame at RichRods feet, which will ultimately be the first time we see the reporting of this on ESPN's bottom line.
Love your avatar.
and do they have names?
Comment section funnies:
I’m sure the pink shirt wearing, flipped collar fags had a lot more to do with this then is released. They problem made racist statements that started this skirmish. The guys reacted wrong, but man oh man…frat fags have such fake balls when they’re drunk!
Of course, as pointed out later in the comments, Iota Phi Theta is a black fraternity.
My favorite is from a user known only as The Count
Ten! Ten busted fighting players! Ah Ah Ah!
Now in the headlines on the right on the front page of ESPN.com -- Spartans suspend 8 after residence hall assault.
Sparty eating there young over this. The comments after the article were so good I read them twice just to soak it all in.
to, if CMU plays MSU in the bowl game, show up with a ski mask and a sign saying "i'm an MSU football player, i'ma fuck shit up!"
I was ready to give Dantonio a pass for the behavior of his players, but then I thought a bit more about his history.
17 players were arrested or investigated for major rule violations while MD was a coach at OSU
A sample: Felony drug abuse and carrying a concealed weapon, theft, lying to police, felonious assault, negligent assault fighting, drunken driving, intentionally and repeatedly choking the Wisc QB, making him unable to play.
At least 17 more players recruited during Dantonio’s tenure were also arrested or investigated for significant violations in the 3 years after he departed.
A sample: drug trafficking, robbery, assault, criminal trespassing, attempting to pass fake money at a strip club, fighting, failing a drug test 3 times, accepting money from a booster.
In the majority of these cases, the punishment by the coaching staff was minimal—often suspending the player for the spring or summer or then letting him play in the fall, keeping him out of one play at the beginning of the game, one-game suspensions, etc.
(I have more details if you want, but it makes your head spin).
okay, attempting to pass fake money at a strip bar?
at tUofOSU?
I thought *they* gave you the money in Columbus....

What does such a preposterous proposition have to do with the reality that they will be suspended for the first series or two of the Pizza Bowl and then welcomed back onto the field by an outlaw coach?
"Rodriguez is covering up NCAA infractions,"
RR has been forthright with NCAA investigators. Furthermore, MSU practices 14 hours a day according to that bench-warming QB's diary.
"there have been no further reports on the rape of an innocent woman by a Michigan football player,"
Why are you ASSuming that a rape took place? The original report said no such thing. RR took immediate action with Justin Feagin for his drug allegations. If there is any credibility to the sexual misconduct charge, it can be reasonably assumed that RR will take quick action.
"yet Dantonio takes action on this within a week, suspending key players from the team."
Yeah, but for how long? It's not like Dantonio allowed his player to go directly from jail to the practice field, is it?
"Yet somehow you're still complaining about Dantonio?"
Nobody is complaining about Douche-tonio; they are complaining about the double-standard displayed by the media and putzes like you.
"You people are beyond obsessed. You've whipped yourselves into a frenzy of jealousy and hatred, and I can't say I blame you. Being afterthoughts in every major sport must rankle for an institution that prides itself on being the leaders and the best."
Yeah, but they're still 67-29-5 against your fine team. Funny how Spartan fans love to rewrite history to only include the time periods where they are doing well.
"If those guys are thugs, then deal with them as thugs. But for strangers to cast judgment on a case where they don't know the facts is ridiculous."
Oh, you mean like you did when you said there was a rape, even though there is no verification of any such allegation at this point? It is documented that 15-20 attackers who "looked like MSU football players" hurt at least seven innocent students; in an amazing coincidence, 2 players are kicked off the team and 8 suspended. The math is pretty easy to do. Where is the "rush to judgement" here?
"Villifying Dantonio when he punished the players involved is crazy. Dantonio is at fault because of what his players did, even when he meted out punishment?"
Oh, you mean just like you Spartan fans do to RR for an occasional one or two people, not a gang of 15-20 who "looked like MSU football players" as cited in the police report?
"Is Rodriguez then at fault for all the crimes his players have ever committed?"
Only on the Red Cedar Message Board.
"That's a pretty long list. Are you sure you want to apply this standard to coaches?"
No, only when it's a case of "what goes around, comes around" as it is here. And only when Douche-tonio pretends that he excretes odorless feces.
You Spartans sure don't appreciate a "taste of your own medicine," do you?
That is the theme, it is ongoing, and unending.
I do not get it. Why would the team force their way into a frat event?
The fight, sure, after they forced in. But why did they need to invade?
Anyone have anymore insight and can explain this?
God I hope Texas Tech plays MSU in the Alamo bowl. If it happens, I think I'll start a movement for the Tech students to wear ski masks at the game, since I won't be able to do it next year as a Michigan student.
If TT plays MSU that horrible secondary is going to get shredded for 500+ yds. That will be all the humiliation they need.
one
