| 26 weeks 12 hours ago | Cheaty |
I am still bothered that OSU would pimp Cheaty during the same season he left them unable to play post. All his books and interviews about ethics, and it turns out he was suborning and covering for corruption. |
| 27 weeks 5 hours ago | When I was there it was hard |
When I was there it was hard to go in with the all wonderful stuff to do. Add in crazy long seating lines for that section... I love U of M football, so I was there early and half sober to make sure I was in my seat. So you are a junior and you get up, and the frats have tables and lawn games, and the cute guys/girls are there, and there is that thing at that lot and it is really cool, and you mean to go in, but now it is 11:30, so maybe I will wait for the seating line to go down, and I really have to get some food so I don't puke and look bad in front of that cite guy/girl, and wow, we scored, and gosh, this game it all tied up. |
| 27 weeks 5 hours ago | Inside the beltway in NOVA |
Inside the beltway in NOVA and NW DC and the hill there are more open Michigan fans than open Maryland. I have no way of judging Maryland fanbase itself because I only go there for destinations and come back out. I don't get the impression that Maryland has the academic research and faculty chops of a Michigan/State/Chicago/NW. |

1. The refs had a very hard time seeing things Iowa did in violation of the rules. 2. Were the ESPN crew going to join the Iowa team on their flight home for sex, or were they just in love from afar? 3. Could ESPN have picked worse camera angles/further shots? |
| 43 weeks 5 days ago | I think the NCAA grossly |
I think the NCAA grossly overpunished Penn State. This is because it simply does not match reponses in other cases.
Roman Polanski is a famous and highly paid Hollywood dirctor, but he works in Europe. This is a because he raped a little girl and was convicted of the crime. He fled to Europe and makes movies there. Hollywood not only pays him massive amounts of money, but they demand over and over that the conviction be set aside because he makes such good movies. None of us movie watchers complain about this or demand that the movies be burned and the studios be shut down. JoePa simply covered up some child rape, no rape himself. For that the NCAA is destroying a man and a legendary sports program, and harming a bunch of current students who nothing to do with any wrong-doing? This is simply unfair. Hollywood gets a pass, but a football program is ruined. |
| 1 year 16 weeks ago | Michigan dodges a lot of |
Michigan dodges a lot of bullets. When I was in the law school the very gay very liberal clinic director wouldn't let veterans join the clinc. I filed a civil rights complaint and the DOE said she was allowed to choose who she wanted to be a clinic student because they had to work closely with her. Looks like M ran out of luck, kiddie porn was the bridge too far. |
| 1 year 18 weeks ago | I want there to be a huge |
I want there to be a huge issue at Penn Styate just from loyalty to Michigan. That being said, the involuntary gay child abuse is not really something JoePa did wrong.
A guy who came to power in a 60s University system got told "Hey, this former assistant and your friend was in the shower with a younger boy, that don't seem right to me." "Hmmm...likely innocent, these modern students get all ate up cause of this touchy feelings stuff. Just in case I will tell the AD and the guy in charge of the campus security, or police, or whatever they call them this week, and they can look into it professionally." "Okay, I didn't hear anything back. Must have been nothing. JIC keep him out of the locker rooms."
Sounds totally reasonable for a man in his 70s. Heck, sounds reasonable for anyone. |

Holly Rowe looks like a male TV on South Beach. Someone let her go on air like that. |

This ESPN broadcast crew loves VaTech so much they should go and gay marry them. |

It looks like the cheating was all OSU had going for them. |

The Michigan and MAC (Pre WWII name for Michigan State) was always the last game of the season because even back then there were fan calls that the MAC used to cripple Michigan players out of spite. |
| 1 year 35 weeks ago | Ride the metrobus for five |
Ride the metrobus for five minutes, then tell me half these guys aren't straight out of central america. Seems like you are the Michigan centric racist, not willing to accept diversity and admit every single laborer here in nova is hispanic. You are the same person unwilling to admit the 20 out of 24 hour cab drivers here are all african born. Sort of like Mary Sue Coleman, black affirmative action forever--so long as that means boosting upper class high yellow students from Detroit Country Day and Cranbrook--never an actual black student from africa.
Call me racist for telling the truth? |

Eastern Michigan is huge in Montana!
Hurons forever! |
| 1 year 35 weeks ago | I have seen more defensive |
I have seen more defensive pressure in the underware football league on mtv, and they have to play three yards off the line.
Carr's fault? At first, yes. Rich Rod did nothing to help things, and it appears Hoke isn't doing much, either. |

It must be cool to yell when you are looking for a pocket to sue and get paid...so here it goes..
YOUR IDIOT SHARED BABY (MOMMA/DADDY) TRIED TO KILL A WHOLE BUNCH OF FOLKS WITH HIS SUV AND GOT SHOT AND DIED. IF I GET ON THE JURY FOR YOUR BOGUS ATTEMPT TO GET PAID, I AM GOING TO RULE AGAINST YOUR FAMILY FOR 100 MILLION DOLLARS, AND ASK THE JUDGE TO CUT OFF YOUR BRIDGE CARDS. |

WTF? Is mary sue alowing her man hating EMU president special friend to pick this stuff out? This is the worst thing to happen in A2 since Leo Kelly! |
| 1 year 51 weeks ago | I suspect the phrasing |
I suspect the phrasing "tattoo" is used to cover what else went on in the party room--most likely blow, crack, and meth. Otherwise you don't really need a party room at the shop.
I think OSU screwed up hoping this will go away, and if the media stays on the story for another week or two some cell camera shots of players exchanging helmets for dope should come out. Maybe some suspect drug tests, too. |
| 1 year 51 weeks ago | The appropiate punishment |
The appropiate punishment would be a loss of all football scholarship money for 7 years, with a manadatory repurposing of the the funds to graduate scholarships. And losing every win since Maurice. |
| 1 year 51 weeks ago | I think as more back story |
I think as more back story comes out over the next week we will learn, and be able to guess, what was coming down the pipe.
The timing of the firing suggests that they had some lead time that Cheaty was going to get hammered.
The big question was whether the NCAA told Ohio State that they were going to get creamed just over what was known, or if there was another huge issue about to go public. |
| 2 years 2 weeks ago | No. In Michigan you get at |
No. In Michigan you get at least an impaired conviction for your first arrest--depending on how well your attorney is connected. That means big fines, probation, and paying extra state fees for years. You record never clears. Even if your first one is at 21 and your second at 90. On the second it means jail time. The christers and soccer moms have really screwed up our laws here. |
| 2 years 2 weeks ago | At some point during the last |
At some point during the last 10 years shouldn't the NCAA have done something? The news stories about team tutors taking exams and writing papers for the FB team... The academic progress violations... The trading team swag for cash and goods... Cheaty McSweatervest covering up violations... Free cars part one... Now free cars for everyone (part two)...
At some freaking point even the NCAA should get their lips off OSU's butt and do something. Anything at this point. |

| 2 years 4 weeks ago | I know that we talk about |
I know that we talk about Cheaty McSweatervest and the like here a lot... but this statement of charges really brings it out. Not sour grapes expressed about grey line issues, but big problems. TheOSU has some fairly serious problems with their program honesty. I wonder if the NCAA is going to suspend the bosses for a year, and strip wins and players. |

That cold mist with the wind was sort of nasty. I got a windburn on my cheek. I agree that the weather four hours eariler was much worse. |

Ohio state is doable if Pryor bails or the NCAA steps in for full season for the crooks and Cheaty Sweatervest. |
| 2 years 5 weeks ago | No, I am bringing my old |
No, I am bringing my old military goretex. We have the M ponchos just in case it is light rain, but I want to be ready. This is an important event. The last two years I could tell we were in deep trouble based off the spring game. Last year our D was so so bad that I knew we were screwed, and I went on to drink way too much. Way way too much. |
