Lots of Lloyd Carr in that introduction. I would have loved to seen Tom Brady's speech incorporated. I hope the team finds a way to use it.
Love the idea of standing new players back-to-back with accomplished former athletes.

Well if the motif was the past passing on to the current, then for the coaches the other choices are Bump Elliott and Gary Moeller, neither of whom inspire much more enthusiasm than Lloyd.

Hopefully highlights of Desmond, Denard and a couple highlights from 2009.

They kind of did that two years ago...

I REALLY hope they do an updated version of this for Saturday's game. IMO, it was the best one they ever did. The stadium went apeshit when it was played on the boards.

One of the things that makes Michigan great is all of the former players that continue to give back to the program. I think I saw Charles Woodson, Dhani Jones, Marlin Jackson, Jake Long, Brian Griese, James Hall, Larry Foote, and Mike Hart all in that video. Not to mention that Tom Brady was just on back talking to the team. Great to see the former players back on campus!

Just a beast, crazy to see him and Countess next to each other and see the size difference.

another video intro later in the season. I disagree about Lloyd's motivational tone. I mean they took snippets of all the coaches to back up the program achievements we know by heart, they illustrated the passing of the generational torch with Michigan notables and current players wearing the same numbers, and there is still plenty in the historical bag to make an even more exciting and dramatic intro down the road. I really love these things.
And clearly they have influenced the creativity and connection of the fans to the program with so many seasonal hype videos out there.
I think we'll get a special one this week for Notre Dame.

I got goosebumbs the second I saw Woodson standing there with the #2 on. Then I couldn't help but think that he does have one year of eligibility left.....

And now I want to run through my office wall.
I wasn't this fired up on Saturday.

I got all the chillz when they played this in the Big House. Hot damn.
Silly Lloyd forgot the "fergodsakes" though...

I like the video and fav part was the "transition" from one generation to the other parts. That said, some of the hype videos done by people without the benefit of access to players (and previous legends) and voice overs that are tailor made to what they are clipping on the videos have been more impressive. I think if you could use some of their talents with the "all access" a staff member would get, you could have some seriously incredible stuff. Not that I didnt think this was good. p.s. I was fine with Carr's voice - he has that gravely grandfather "Clint Eastwood" voice motif going on.

I'd be more on-board without the Fox Robot-style machine sound effects and look/feel, but yeah, this is really good. And I normally don't really like these hype videos all that much.

They dont get the blood flowing like a super-original and high-brow performance of the band spelling OHNO on the field. Now that is worth the price of admission.

Was there a video last year? or did they just use the same ones (with updated numbers) as two years ago?
September 3rd, 2013 at 2:33 PM ^
is awesome.
Love the legends handing the reigns down to the next generation. Idk how they didn't end with Carr and Hoke standing back to back saying "This is Michigan"

Not quite ready to forgive the guy who helped destroy the program when he retired. Loved the Three and Out line about how the real Michigan men would show up after Bo was gone, and it ended up being Denard to lead us out of the mess that Lloyd helped create.
Go raise money for Mott and stay off camera old man.

The 2011 versions were definitely my favorites. Not too much, robotish special effects, and a perfect mix of current players, older players, and recent alums
