Yes I'm having some issues managing the anticipation. How about a little sound off. One week to go so the plans should be relatively close to being cemented by now. Lets hear it.
Tennessee is not recruiting well just because they got 18 dudes
Is that you???
Speaking as someone who LOVES Asian women, can't think of a better pre-game tradition, LOL!!
Actually, I'll be at home, watching an early football game, waiting for the "main appetizer", U-M v WMU!!
Well, um, actually a pretty nice little Saturday, we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time.
YOU'RE MY BOY!
I'll be in my house watching football on the TV.
I will be in AA and my DVR will be recording all day.
I'll be rushing back home from Northwestern's opener to watch the game
I'll be sitting in the Mr. Stadium parking lot with a hot, juicy brat in one hand and an ice cold beer in the other.
2 pm on Saturday Sept 5th - Where will you be and what will you be doing?
With a question like that, apparently I should be guarding my door.
playing in a HS football scrimmage one hour from where i live
I better be back by the time the Game is on.
If not, i'll have someone tape it
Getting myself nice and lubricated for the Michigan game. Beer enhances pleasure and dulls pain... I'm preparing myself for both.
Is this, in any way, related to the Asian porn post?
Sipping a brew, eating a brat, and getting ready for another Meeeeechigan victory.
Watching at home with my 4 year old daughter and 3 month old son so that my wife can go to the game with her dad.
It's their tradition. He is a Western alum.
I was an F-16 maintenance supervisor with the weapons school at Nellis AFB.
at Nellis on my way to TTR back in the day. It was before the first Gulf War. Our last night at Nellis they gave us $100 and told us to go have some fun because it would be a long time before we got that chance again - and they were right.
It's great they did that for you.
I was EXTREMELY lucky. It's almost embarrassing.
Nellis was my first permanent duty station and I never had to leave sunny Las Vegas except to go with the weapons school to Panama City every year during spring break.
I'll be gettin off work, and coming home anxiously waiting till 330. I got pumped driving to work this morning when it hit me that we're only a week away.
Sitting in section row 20 row 46 watching the best fucking team in the nation warm up and get ready to kick some bronco ass!!!
So, you like to arrive early for things, eh? That is an hour and a half before the game. But, on the plus side, no problem with crowds at that time.
stumbling down Main Street, bar hopping, on my way to the Big House!
Taking the family to my parents house, firin' up the 50" plasma with surround sound, grillin' up some brats and drinkin' refreshing oktoberfest beer, and watchin' Mich hopefully destroy Western.
Also will be my little guy's first UM game. He's only 7 months old though so I'm pretty sure he won't know whats going on. Been trying to teach him to say "Go blue!" though.
but that reminds me of my son when he was about 4. They were putting on a Christmas special at his daycare. They all get on stage, I'm standing up on the balcony (thinking I'm recording it all). Everyone gets quiet because it's about to start, and out of nowhere Brendan shouts 'Go Michigan'. The crowd erupts in laughter and appluase. I'm all stoked thinking I get to show this to the world, and guess what - my recorder was on pause.
I put up a sign the following Monday at daycare offering money for a copy of any recording that might have had that on it. Nothing!
visiting my sis, and watching the game with a nice local brew...and by nice, I mean Coors...
...and by nice, I mean Coors...
I'm so sorry. Mind over matter, and hopefully the game will distract you as well.
I will be at home sitting on the couch cheering Michigan on to victory.
I'll be on a sailboat, somewhere off Rhode Island most likely. Not to worry, I have Tivo.
as AD I thought that you'd at least make the opener!
Does another sport need a new coach or something?
Loudonville, OH to be exact. Specifically at 2pm, I will be explaining to my angry girlfriend that I will be leaving the campground and will not be canoeing with everyone else in order to head to a yet to be determined local bar to watch the game and no doubt get into several "colorful" conversations with the native football fans.
I'll probably be at the Wintergarden Tavern in Livonia stuffing my face with coneys.
I'd prefer to go to Mason's and get a burger (it's a regular season tradition for me), but they're always closed on Labor Day weekend.
I will be watching the kickoff from my temporary domicile in vevey, switzerland. Happy that I have espn360 and a slingbox box at my disposal that is connected to my tivo at a friends house in norcal.
The kickoff starts at 1230am for me, so I will be well lubed from a nice sat eve dinner with the family and game day and the noon kickoff games under my belt.
Its a sickness, I know, but I will watch the games until 7am CET time and then hit the sack.
I am not much of a good dad on sundays in the fall until noon!
I think Swiss food would make some great football food, personally. Rosti, raclette ... lots of cheese and potatoes. Some pickles too, maybe. And a good beer ... mmm.
gettin' ready to find myself some parking on the side streets.
the beverages, mabye playing a little vball, hitting on some girls, and getting umped to walk down state to the stadium ... and i ahte to be the bearer of bad news but current forecast looks like theres a chanc eit will rain
I wish I had the patience to make this thing for the game:
Does it come with free quadruple bypass surgery?
Damn good thing the UofM hospital is nearby.
Psh, everyone knows that if you ate that whole thing yourself, you wouldn't have to worry about ever pooping it out until you ate some damn fiber.
drinking and getting ready for a win.then I'll head down to our high schools brand new football staduim for the home opener.then down to the river for labor day concerts and crappy carnival food and more beer.
just before heading into the stadium Sec 44 R33 seats 17-18
Breaking into your house and takin' your stuff.
But seriously folks, drunque on my couch.
Back to training.....
I used to live 20 mins away from the big house, now im 2,000 miles from it in arlington, texas. I'm not counting on the game being shown down here so i'll be looking for a place to watch it online. Anyone know where they stream live UM games? Oh, and of course I'll be drinking some beer as well.
Visiting NYC for the first time since I was 7 and trying to find a place to watch the game.
the corner from Madison Square Garden where the New York Michigan Alumni watch the games at. It's an Irish Bar that I can't for the life of me remember the name of, (too many Jager Bombs). Someone from the New York Michigan Alumni could point you in the right direction.
Yeah, the Michigan bar used to be Park Avenue Country Club on the East Side, but that closed. Check the NYC alumni club site, maybe?
UofM Club of NYC game watch is at a bar called Metro 53. Address is 307 E.53rd St which is 53rd off 2nd Ave 212-838-0007
Or is it laid-back?
I will be at Pioneer around 5am to start drinking. I will have about 35 beers and get into the game on time, I swear. Halftime I will pass out on the grass near section 34 and get back to my seats in time to see NARD DOGG throw his 4th TD.
bonging a multitude of beers
Where else? At home drinking Rogue Dead Guy, watching an early morning game, and waiting (im)patiently for the return of the victors!
I will be at Pioneer tailgating with 13 of my closest friends and family. I will be driving a navy blue Jeep patriot and flying a Michigan flag on a 20ft. PVC flag pole. Feel free to stop by and say hi and get some free grub!
of Oberon and probably my third bowl of chili and listening to my wife telling me to stop pacing!!
Running around the house like a little kid on Christmas morning. Maybe putting the finishing touches on a pot of chili.
My friend, also a diehard Michigan fan, is getting married to his fiancee, also a diehard Michigan fan, at 2pm that Saturday. No joke. I would try to watch it on my phone or something if I WASN'T IN THE WEDDING. What a travesty. And we're staying at hotels, meaning no immediate DVR watching or anything. Hopefully it'll be short (the wedding ceremony, not the marriage) and I'll see the entire second half.
for being a good friend
-2 to your friend and his fiancee.
Looking for a place to see the game. Gotta go review that other thread that addresses this question.
Drinking on the golf course in between cars packed like sardines, watching the Safety Patrol make their rounds on the newly accessible roads.
It's all sunshine and butterflies!
I have a 15 lb. pork shoulder in the freezer. Bright and early in the morning it will hit the smoker. About 2 I will pull it off and let it rest for awhile. Then I'll shred for some tasty pulled pork sandwiches. I'll have plenty of ice cold beer on hand because you can't properly cook pulled pork without plenty of beer. About game time we'll sit down with the pulled pork, homemade potato salad, and hopefully some baked beans. Some more ice cold beer of course. Turn on the TV to watch Mich dominate WMU.
to the big house to watch the Mighty Maize and Blue take the field and win their opening game of the season. It will take about 3.5 hours to drive from Canton, Oh and we will be in Ann Arbor waiting for the game so if you have any suggestions on where we can go before the game please let me know. Thank You Go Blue !!!!!!!!!!
the answer would be that the players will still be in practice which they will have been usince 2 am the night before.
Im going to be sitting on my couch with my dad and some brewskies.
I will be checking to make sure everything is locked in the trunk. Then with an unopened water bottle in hand, I will head on over to Michigan Stadium.
I will be at my in-laws
7 hours from home
In West Virginia -- Buzz. Kill.
My very first HDTV, and it's being delivered the evening before. I'll probably be running checks to make sure I have everything set up right before kickoff.
Even the losses looked better last year (if that's possible...)
tossing fades to my little guy, while the wife and 2 other couples hammer down on bloodies, sammiches and a mini-keg of Oberon at the golf course.
Goddammit, this week can't go by fast enough.
