You can get into pioneer around 9-10 on Friday and don't have to take off until Sunday morning. It's well worth the $250 if you stay both nights, enjoy the atmosphere and skip all traffic.
but I don't think there's much worry about showing that play. It's a high-risk/high-reward move that I don't think we'll see in a seven point game against Penn State or Michigan.
I still stand by, why not, it's NMSU and the Vest just wanted to try some new material for the home crowd.
Now if they start lining Pryor up at receiver every other series and show that that ex-baseball backup can throw, then I'm with you.
I'm glad you wrote this. It confirms what I often think as he speaks.
I just can't really get at anything he's trying to talk about. It's just one constant contradition after another and him constantly talking over the caller or the other guy on the show with him.
I usually last about 3 minutes and then I have to turn the dial.
Each one of those songs gets me pumped for michigan football when i hear them. screw

This blog is Brian's business. It seems to me he sticks his neck waaay out there to allow the community so much power over what happens on this blog. That's awesome, but he's really putting himself at risk by allowing the "old guard" to police the blog. When people freak out and react "150%" over how they should on a newbie, it's possibly driving away earnings and future earnings potential from Brian.
Let idiots be idiots, that what they do. Take the privilege of a certain amount of control over this blog's content with a bit of responsibility. Remember that our actions can, at times, have an effect on Brian's pocket book, as small as an effect as that may be.
For quality of the course, EMU is an incredible deal. You also get a student discount for going to a state school (at least you did a few years ago). I think it ended up being between $25-$35 for 18 with a cart.
Really, it's a beautiful course, they play the state highschool tourneys there.
Could people shed a little more light on these ticket packages that aren't actual season tickets? I'd love an opportunity to get season tickets on a year-to-year basis because I can't afford the donations for the waiting list at this point in my life.
Right now I get the two ticket packets through the alumni club (got OSU tickets this year, which is awesome), but I'd love to get to every game.
Does anyone care if I show up with an 11 month old (assuming it's not a blizzard)? Does anyone have an opinion? I'm just not sure how babies mix with Zima, unicorns, ridiculous arguments and so forth.
I would venture out on a limb and say that most bloggers/internet types are extremely cynical (as I think will end up being the cultural stamp of this generation). The easist way to express that cynicism is through snarky humor. I also think it's a defense mechanism that keeps people from actually having to explore how they feel about something, or, how someone else may feel about something. That being said, it's hard not to be cynical about a world we all think we know so much about.
I've been to New York, Chicago, Indianapolis, LA, San Diego, Columbus (on purpose), some others. In every one of those cities I'd say there are more good areas than there are in Detroit. Now I don't know the physical layouts like I do Detroit's, but I'd go out on a limb and say there are more good than bad areas. Again, it's all subjective, whether I'm defining it as "places where I can do things and do them safely" or you're defining it as "places I can walk through without getting shot."
Detroit is not a great city. It's a failing city with some cool things in it. Kinda like Cleveland was 15 years ago, or others may argue that Philly, Baltimore or Pittsburgh are now.
If I were to visit Detroit vs LA. I'd have more things to do in LA (bars, events, sites, shops, etc), and more physical space I could travel safely to do those things.
I should not have said the good vs bad as a proportion as I don't know the size of LAs bad. But again, that's all subjective because you or I may not worry about walking Detroit at night while the original poster or others wouldn't walk those same streets in the day light.
The problem with the "every city has bad areas" argument is the proportionality of good to bad when it comes to Detroit and other major cities. Even LA, which has a large "bad area" has a very large "good area" to balance it. Detroit really is just a few blocks around the entertainment district with some highlights here and there.
Detroit has its fantastic areas, but unless you just earned a trip to the Final 4, there's really no reason to visit it in April (or most other times for that matter).
There is a huge difference between the suburbs and the City of Detroit too. Just as Martha Reeves and Jay Leno.
Manny spread his wings and flew down the court (Duke game?) and I thought it was awesome.
This stuff happens. I didn't see Griffin do anything I would consider excessive.
It's part of the games now unless leagues/associations start to take a hard line against it.
I think it just bothers everyone more because of the outcome of the game.
And if we're going to judge Blake Griffin because of the flexing in the game yesterday, I'm also going to judge him on his other actions. He calmed his brother down at an important time in the game, showing leadership skills. He didn't say much after coming up bloody from a number of shots to his body. At one point, a little ball boy ran out and cleaned the floor and you could hear him say "thanks little buddy" as he patted the kid on the back.
He beat us, he was better than any player we've had at Michigan in a looong time. Just be happy we got the opportunity to play him.
Had we been called for all the fouls we had on that guy we would have been into the bench about 5 minutes into the half.
We had absolutely no way to defend Griffin except to go out and push the limits as to how physical the refs would let the game get. They let it go pretty far in my opinion.
We need to get bigger and I'm sure we will in the future. Until then, thanks to the team for exceeding my expectations.
he was banging my buddy's sister. She's good looking and fiesty, so I imagine he was too tired to perform in practice and that reflected heavily on his playing time.

The full page picture of him in the newspaper with the rose in his mouth went up on my wall when I was 13 and lines were drawn for eternity.

Why not practice a play like that on NMSU?
It's funny that Iowa fell for the slant play at the end of the second quarter that they beat Sparty with last week.

I'm listening now.
Wasn't this a given?

Because they call D'antonio "the Doctor." A cheezy rip-off of a cheezy nickname for Sweatervest, "the Senator."
They're basically trying to become OSU Jr.
Big 10 season is starting, Minor's going to be the number 1 just for his pass blocking abilities along.
Also, he's a monster.
Visiting NYC for the first time since I was 7 and trying to find a place to watch the game.
The Dream Cruise is unique and cool. Tons of things are the same every year, but they're still great.
it makes Brian seem even cooler.

There are so many reasons for kids to leave Michigan these days.

I love Detroit. Something about cheering for the underdog.
I just recognize that it's just not that great of a city compared to most in America.
What did you want? Maps of the cities? Demographics?
What evidence should I throw at you that will change everyone's basically subjective opinions about Detroit?

could we get a video of Gob dancing to the final countdown right under the title to this post?
I don't know much of anything about the name Olaniyan, but it could be the equivalent of Smith for all we know.
But it is probably is remarkable.

for you to show up and end this shit.
for all the Mike in the Morning listeners out there.
