BEATING TENNESSEE BY DOUBLE DIGITS IS A GREAT WAY TO MAKE A PROGRAM'S FIRST-EVER SWEET SIXTEEN, IN MY OPINION.

AND YOU CAN'T HAVE ONE WITHOUT THE OTHER...

IT'S GREAT TO BE IN BOTH SWEET SIXTEENS

it looks like just us so far ... the other women’s teams still with second round games to be played to join the men’s/women’s s16 double dipping are: syracuse, baylor, bama, ucla, oregon state, and oregon

edit: this was in response to which schools could have both of their teams in their respective sweet 16

1. We are definitely a Basketball school.

2. KBA is slowly but surely/steadily improving the program. This is a monumental win for Michigan Women's Hoops and hopefully it translates into even more success.

the fact that stanford ditched a few of their sports, combined with our winter success ... i’m thinking the directors cup could be interesting. We finally have a season where both basketball teams and hockey are all guaranteed top 16 finishes ... women’s swimming and wrestling just had really high finishes nationally ... m/w gymnastics, men’s swimming, water polo, soccer, tennis, field hockey, softball, baseball, etc all should score points too

Terrific win!  I too feared Tennessee based on their storied history, but I was not impressed by their team play. Again today, Michigan was the better-coached team.  We faced tougher competition in Big Ten play. On to the Sweet 16!

Stunned. Pleasantly so!

They have looked so far like they did pre-COVID break. Inside-outside, and a fierce defense.

Wow. Go Blue!

Not to go totally WD on this, but did they have some sort of new reflective numbering? The numbers were shining gold at some angles.
