Please don't shit on this gritty tough playoff game. We understand that the basketball team didn't perform to anyone's standards. But don't take this away from the kids that just played their guts out.
During hockey playoff season, I find that breathing becomes optional.

This team’s heart & composure is amazing. Losing in 3rd period @ Minnesota- victory. Losing in 3rd period in a virtual away game - victory.
the discipline- one minor penalty.
Lastly, Portello was simply magnificent.

The discipline is a big deal. Rightly said. No coincidence that Michigan is playing it’s best hockey and taking fewer penalties.

Please repeat and rinse on the discipline point. PSU got chippy and we did not rise to the bait. Incredible improvement in poise over the last 3-4 weeks.

Third win all year scoring 3 or fewer. Good time to do it.
Still not as hopeful as last year, but this team has accomplished everything last year’s did and they still have a game (or two) to play.
Worse teams have won national titles. You just never know.

Feels WONDERFUL to be on the right side of a significant OT win. Only other OT wins I can recall were opening weekend OT wins - never for a frozen four or higher

Despite many years of watching muppets on this site (and 20 years of having a MMB CD) it was only recently I realized that Hawaiian War Chant is the same tune Timon and Pumbaa use for their incredible distraction of the hyenas in The Lion King. Naturally, it makes each muppets that much more pleasant.
It's been so fun to watch this team in their last four games. Got two more! Go Blue!
This was the first email I ever wrote to Brian Cook. I suggested he find a way to use a youtube of that little snippet in a bunch of different languages. This was back when there really wasn't that much on Youtube and finding a good one was a national moment.
At some point, you should probably think about using a Youtube downloader tool, and saving those videos, and either hosting them somewhere on this site, or on an mgoblog-owned Youtube channel, just in case the original copies get removed for whatever reason.
