CC: Why not Tom Bradley if JH says no?
He would be infinitely more palatable to the masses than Hoke. He's got great recruiting ties to a state that should be a prime location for us. He basically has HC experience at a MAJOR univ without actually having the title and is squeaky clean ( personal life) as far as I can tell.
Please not Brady Hoke...pretty please?

Cool avatar though.
WTF are you thinking?

Have there been some site functionality changes? How come there has been a drastic increase of people replying to the first response rather than replying to the OP. I'm using WestCBlue's comment as an example, his comment is directed to the OP but he replied to the first post.
Please tell me that there are some browser glitches that are preventing people from formatting comments the way they want and this place isn't turning into Rivals/MLive where it is fucking impossible to follow a conversation because everyone wants to make sure their comment is read.

Why not Rich Rodriguez if JH says no?

You haz it.
January 4th, 2011 at 1:39 PM ^
How do you really feel?
January 4th, 2011 at 1:49 PM ^
Yup, and it's all his fault.
January 4th, 2011 at 1:25 PM ^
Couldn't have said it better myself. If Harbaugh jets to the NFL, or stays at Stanford for that matter, why not stick with what we've got for the time being instead of repeating 2007 all over again.

This Bradley thing is a ploy by those at PSU to finally push Paterno out. And the threat of him leaving, and you will soon see Paterno retire in short order, as Bradley is the heir and everyone knows it. Bradley to M would normally be reasonable but won't happen due to the above, unless he is the fallback plan for Brandon and 2. that Paterno wins the power struggle to stay.

Says the guy that a few threads down was complaining about all the CC, and we have a coach already and blah blah blah.
January 4th, 2011 at 1:23 PM ^
someone else Bro.
January 4th, 2011 at 1:25 PM ^
Yup, was editing my post to say that just now, and some reason said access denied when I went to go save. It's rough these days keeping your CC threads in order. You did the Stop the RR to Pitt shenanigans. Oy.

Why not Lloyd Carr if JH says no?

Let's fire a head coach with multiple BCS appearances so we can hire the defensive coordinator of a team that had the exact same record we did this year.
I really hope Dave Brandon doesn't have the internet in his office.

I think I will remember the "Why not Tom Bradley" post as the absolute low-point of this offseason head coach circus.
We need to get ourselves some brown paper bags and breathe in and out. In and out...

It's the end of the world.

At least Tom Bradley has a terminal named after him at LAX:

Ok. Maybe it was named after the mayor of LA.

This is an email someone on Scouts received from DB:

Justin, as much as it seems to be difficult right now, I need you to trust me because everything is working out how we had planned. Dont always believe what you hear...
January 4th, 2011 at 1:27 PM ^
Riiiight. Im sure DB shot him an email.
January 4th, 2011 at 1:41 PM ^
It's not as unlikely as you make it seem. Dave Brandon is known to receive his email himself and respond to his email himself. Even from fans.
January 4th, 2011 at 1:47 PM ^
Everything is working out how they planned because they "seem" to be going after Harbaugh, while they've bagged the elephant - Hoke.
All of the preminitions in that other thread shall come true.
January 4th, 2011 at 1:40 PM ^
I understand why you pay $10/ month for Scouts access.
January 4th, 2011 at 1:57 PM ^
If you actually believe that is Dave Brandon, then I have some lovely oceanfront property in Kansas which may interest you.

Milton Bradley wont be too far behind.
January 4th, 2011 at 2:14 PM ^
Crazy ass Milton Bradly is awesome.
January 4th, 2011 at 2:22 PM ^
Or board game maker? Maybe one could coach the O? One coach the D?
Other Bradleys that should definitely be considered:
- Omar: The military named a frickin' armorded vehicle after him. Enuf said.
- Shawn: Would be the tallest coach in the universe. How cool would that be? Wouldn’t even have to jump to touch the banner.
- Bill: Would bring a certain senatorial prestige to the job, plus a wicked set shot and thus would absolutely destroy the Vest in a game of HORSE. (I’m sold on the idea already).
January 4th, 2011 at 2:31 PM ^
How about just using the Game of Life to coach our team? Since track record is of no importance let's just spin the wheel to select plays, defenses etc. But more importantly is Milton Bradley a Michigan Man?
January 4th, 2011 at 1:48 PM ^
Why not Tom Brady?
January 4th, 2011 at 1:48 PM ^
Is it just me that needs Hooked on Phonics or did anyone else glance at this and see Tom Brady for a split second?
January 4th, 2011 at 1:59 PM ^
Sure, I'd love to have JH. But if no JH, I'm fine with RR. I'd actually prefer RR, believe it or not, but think that if JH turns us down, that will help at least 1 or 2 percent of those out there to calm down.
January 4th, 2011 at 2:19 PM ^
I'm really starting to think that if it's not Harbaugh, it's RR. No GERG. In fact I think all the defensive staff is gone if RR stays.
