Who do you have more confidence in beating between OSU or Wisc?
I know this is not the most thrilling post, but I thought I would get a little MGoBlog perspective regarding who you have more confidence in us beating between OSU or Wisconsin. If we play like we did today against either of these teams, we will lose both games IMO. For some reason I find Wisconsin a lot more scary than OSU. I am not sure why that is, but the threat of Terrele Pryor beating us just is not that scary to me after watching the lack of progress I think he has made. What say you?

Definitely Ohio State. They're not as good as Wisconsin. Not just because they lost to Wisconsin, not just because Wisconsin just put up 80+ points on Indiana when tUoOS only managed 38, but because I say so.

Anything can happen in 'The Game' ... always believe.
All in for BLUE

It's at home.
November 13th, 2010 at 3:46 PM ^
I agree about having more confidence at home.
Let's hope it doesn't rain either.
November 13th, 2010 at 3:41 PM ^
What does the weather report say for each game?
November 13th, 2010 at 3:41 PM ^
Wisconsin because they got a beat down by Thug U.
November 13th, 2010 at 3:43 PM ^
because it's at home and they're ripe for a let down game after blowing out Indiana.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:38 PM ^
Rather than repoting your comment. I second that comment. Also, watching this PSU game, tOSU looks very average. Also, HOLD THEN DAMN BALL.
November 13th, 2010 at 3:43 PM ^
Its really not that close. OSU is on the road and they are a better team than Wisconsin. To win either of these games were going to need at least 30 points and i dont see us doing that against OSU.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:02 PM ^
OSU better than Wisconsin? Not so sure about that one. They have the same record and Wisconsin beat OSU 31-18.
November 13th, 2010 at 3:44 PM ^
I have confidence that we are going to come out this next game and compete. While the results have not always been pretty, this years team has come out with a fire and fight in them each game.
If we play like our hair is on fire the next two games... anything can happen.
Anything.
November 13th, 2010 at 3:44 PM ^
Neither. Hope? Both. Slightly greater probability of actually beating? OSU.
November 13th, 2010 at 3:45 PM ^
The Badgers have a lot of trouble winning in Ann Arbor. Perhaps a "Remember 2008" sign would force their team into the fetal position.
November 13th, 2010 at 3:47 PM ^
I don't know, but PLEASE NO MOAR 5+ TURNOVERS PLS THX.
November 13th, 2010 at 3:47 PM ^
Ohio State. Admittedly, Wisconsin is capable of looking terrible (as in the MSU game). But if our offense brings its A game, then I think we can score on OSU, and in "the game" crazy things can happen.
November 13th, 2010 at 3:53 PM ^
I'd be more surprised by a win over OSU mostly because it's on the road. We could beat either if they have an off day and we play well.
November 13th, 2010 at 3:53 PM ^
Go Bue !!!
November 13th, 2010 at 3:54 PM ^
We played a horrible game today but how about if we win both of the games and end as 9-3. Now that would be amazing. Ok back to reality. Im saying and hoping wisconsin because its going to be the last game at home and im going to be there

I'm happy as hell that Michigan got to 7 wins, but haven't seen anything from them to show me that they can hold up against the top tier of the big 10. I'm hopeful for good results, and will be watching both games, but my expectations are that we'll see similar games as the MSU, PSU, Iowa debacles.
I always say if they don't turn the ball over they can compete, but they ALWAYS turn over the ball.
Regardless - we're 7-5 and going to a bowl. 2011 expectations will be higher with more experience across the board (and hopefully a decent kicking game?).
November 13th, 2010 at 4:18 PM ^
I'm hoping for a better D with guys back from injuries
And srsly we have got to recruit a better kicker.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:03 PM ^
Ohio State
I'm 99.9% sure we will win in Columbus. We are overdue to beat a top notch team plus we are much hungrier to end the streak. This is no longer about X's and O's it will come down to heart and just like the Gophers beat the Illini on the road today we will do the same on November 27th.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:07 PM ^
Vader was also 99.9% sure the Death Star could defend a thermal exhaust port the size of a womp-rat.
Just sayin. Hoping against all hope that we win that game, but 99.9% sure is pushing it.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:12 PM ^
So you're saying there's a chance?
November 13th, 2010 at 4:13 PM ^
There's always hope... There's always a chance...

UM was competitive with OSU last year. Tressel-ball may backfire. I have more confidence in beating OSU than Wisconsin. Especially after they just torched IU, UM's defense isn't much better than IU.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:12 PM ^
Neither and both, It comes down too we don't know what we are.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:12 PM ^
Which moved them to .500 in the BT, by beating a "top tier team." I think we can do the same. Probably against Wisconsin, IMO.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:14 PM ^
Anytime Pryor is involved, the fetal position manifests at some point. So, we have that going for us. For pure entertainment value, Wisky going down because Bielema is involved.
But for the no brainer, OSU is a game Michigan can pull out.
I don't want to go against my pessimistic tendencies, but both games can be had at this point.
Wisky isn't scoring 80 pts on our defense unless they throw the ball 80% of the time.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:19 PM ^
I'm not looking forward to either game. I hate both teams. OSU goes without saying. And I hate the idea of Wisconsin winning at the Big House for the first time in 16 years.
But our defense still scares the hell out of me. We won't be facing beat up freshmen QB's anymore. And it's going to be hard for Denard to get many rushing yards. He's going to have to have a great day passing for us to have any shot.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:27 PM ^
Defense is decent. We've had trouble defending the pass, so I think teams do Michigan a favor by running so much. Purdue may not have had much help with the weather, but they continued to run the ball, which we can defend.
Wisky will not score at will against us if they run 75% of the time. OSU will have to pass to beat us, too.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:21 PM ^
A big factor has to be whether Mike Martin plays in either or both games. We can get away with not having him against Purdue but we're going to need him to slow down either Wisc or OSU. Hoping it's a good thing he got to sit out this week.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:36 PM ^
November 13th, 2010 at 4:39 PM ^
Neither. We simply cannot HOTTDB. Hoping for a weak bowl opponent.
Purdue is downright HORRIBLE, and we barely got it done today.
November 13th, 2010 at 7:18 PM ^
You are definitely entitled to your own opinion which I respect, but you have just proven to me that no matter what this team does there will always be those that bring negativity after each game win/lose. Regardless of whether or not we played great today, the fact of the matter is we won.
The only thing that is going to stop our offense is our offense. There are many things this team needs to correct, but the bright spot is I am definitely seeing improvement.
GO BLUE!
November 13th, 2010 at 4:40 PM ^
The weather cause turnovers. But, our D looked solid today. This was an old school low scoring Michigan win. If we do this, we can beat both.

November 13th, 2010 at 5:17 PM ^
Looking at the psu/tosu first half and Wisconsin's game, I would put more odds on winning in Columbus, although I'd be happy with both.
November 13th, 2010 at 5:17 PM ^
I think after each one is upset (if Penn State pulls this off) then they will on the lookout and won't overlook anyone again. IF and only if everyone plays their best game on the O-line and D then we have a chance. But we need a healthy team and a big vote of confidence.
Oh, and a miracle.
November 13th, 2010 at 5:20 PM ^
OSU has exactly zero quality wins so far (like us). Their best win was over Illinois, who is 3-4 in the b-10.
November 13th, 2010 at 5:22 PM ^
Perhaps Wisconsin because they may have shot their wad today. I think we can beat them both, though.

Paste code into plain text editor. Hit preview and make sure you have it.
The plain text editor is the key. It will not work in the regular editor (as you can see above).
November 13th, 2010 at 5:29 PM ^
If OSU plays us like they're playing PSU today, and we play like we played against Illinois, I think we can get the win over Tressel.
November 13th, 2010 at 5:42 PM ^
Wisky but they could win either if they play a near-perfect game for this team ( ie no turnovers, execute plays, don't drop balls, get turnover or two, several defensive stops, etc...)
