Maybe the math dictates he

Maybe the math dictates he didn't make the chart, but I would think Aaron Burbridge will be a handful for any B1G secondary for the next few years.  I'd have more concern over him than Mumphery at the very least.

you have footage of the hit that caused him to not

you have footage of the hit that caused him to not have legs? when I saw it live I thought he stepped on a broken stick, but he had his bell rung.

Maybe he gets two in the bowl

Merry Christmas and go Blue!

Merry Christmas and go Blue! Bourbon.

Fictional +1 for the Binny's

Fictional +1 for the Binny's reference.  Big fan here, big fan...

An Evan Williams single

An Evan Williams single barrel bourbon special from Binny's (yea, if you're from Chicagoland you know the glory that is binny's), and after that, everything in the fridge.

Only question, is what succulent meat do I pull from the freezer to grill tomorrow? Decisions, decisions....

One other thing working

One other thing working against Cabrera is the league leading number of double plays he's hit into.  Cabrera is probably the most feared/respected hitter in baseball right now, but Trout is having a fantastic all around year.

Still time for MIggy to make up some ground, or for Trout to fall off though.  Would love to see Cabrera win it.

Bulleit bourbon,and it's

Not impressed with Beileins

Not impressed with Beileins offense this big ten season so far. Still doesn't have a counter to teams hedging the high pick and roll, not executing on any backdoor plays his offense is supposedly known for. Just very disappointing offense.

Nice choice. Sam Adams Latitude ipa... Was on sale and i'm a bargain shopper

it sucks that Ohio didn't get

it sucks that Ohio didn't get hit harder by the NCAA sanctions, but with that said, it's better for us and the big 10 to have Michigan and Ohio strong.  Nothing better than beating a great Ohio team in the game.  Having both teams strong and relevant nationally is needed to battle the SEC as a top footbaw conference.

And as somebody else stated above, he's flipping recruits from MSU and PSU.  If he starts beating Hoke head to head for recruits consistently I'll worry, but it seems like Hoke and staff can handle their business very well so at this time, no concerns.

O-Line depth (lack of)

Molk leaving, no o-line depth, and playing Bama 1st game of next year.  Outlook is grim for that game.

Didn't miss anything. My point is you make teams pay for stupid penalties and they won't continue. Let them get away with it and they own you for four years. I have faith Hoke remembers this next year and the team will be better for it in the long run.

Everyone stop whining. We could have taken advantage of the numerous 15 yd personal fouls but we couldn't. The team needed to man up and make sparty pay and they couldn't do it. On to the next one.

"Hoke carries a big gun"

That's what she said?

Don't be too concerned.  With

Don't be too concerned.  With another year of quality coaching, Ash, QWashington, BWC will all be better.  Even though none will be the equal of Martin, having depth will balance it out.  Also, improved linebacker play as well as deeper depth in the secondary along with more familiarity with Mattison's scheme, the D will be fine.

Costco Bourbon.  Not bad, but

Costco Bourbon.  Not bad, but not great.  Happy to be 4-0, but have a feeling that B1G play will be reminscent of the last 2 years.

But, if people can't be

But, if people can't be ridulously over reactive on the inter-webz, where can they be?

On the serious side, I don't disagree with your sentiment, but c'mon, you don't expect to get anywhere with logic on a blog do you?

Next time hang the misteltoe from your beltbuckle.  Much classier, and with a better upside.

Anyone notice how Fred

Anyone notice how Fred Jackson told the other backs to watch V Smith to see how it's done during the footwork drills? I'm betting there is still a role in this offense for Smith (just please don't be short yardage, please don't be short yardage, please...).

Let's be honest...

That could be the best response to a media question that I've ever heard.  Fantastic.

Thanks - I actually just called their ticket office and single game Big Ten Conf games go on sale 8/22.

Anybody know the best way to

Anybody know the best way to purchase tix for the Michigan away games?  I'm looking to get tix to the Northwestern game in Evanston.  N'Western's website isn't clear on when they release their single game tickets for sale.  Can we buy them from the UM Box Office?

Just got it using chrome. On my android phone to post this...

Only think worse than wearing

Only think worse than wearing these uniforms would be losing in them.  Win, and they'll be SWEET!

Nice

It's partly power and partly Verlander being stubborn and trying to k every batter. Getting his fastball down may not help his k total but would induce more groundouts and lower his pitch counts.

Hawk is the worst announcer ever. Dude is a homer to the extent that he can't call an honest game.

I'm currently living in

I'm currently living in Chicago, and Cubs fans have been saying "maybe this year" for many years now...  Don't get your hopes up.  I would hope he'd break through, but he may be a guy destined to be at 3 or lower on the depth chart his entire career.

Goose Island Honkers Ale.  A solid beer and it was on sale at the Jewel - Osco...

Oh, and Michigan is going to the tournament bitches, so I'm going to keep on drinking em!!!

Cheers to Muppets!

Now What????

What the hell am I going to do with myself now that signing day is over?  Hitting F5 while at work was literally the only thing getting me through most days over the last month.

Spring practice just can't get here fast enough...

Catching the ball, holding

Catching the ball, holding the ball...  being able to run the ball consistently with anyone not named Robinson.

Don't get me wrong - I liked the RR offense.  But to state that there wasn't room for significant fundamental improvement is just not accurate - IMO.

Height can be an issue from

Height can be an issue from the pocket, but with Denard if you can put him on a roll out with run/pass options in space....  it's a defensive nightmare.

Classy move by RR .  I wish

Classy move by RR .  I wish the guy well in the future.  it seems the cards and alums were stacked against the guy from the start in ann arbor.

I'm behind Hoke and the team, but RR always represented michigan well during his time here and I wish him the best.

We'll be a better offense and

We'll be a better offense and team with Denard's carries going down from a sheer attempts standpoint.  For lack of a better analogy I'll go with the quality over quantity meme.  I'd like to see Denard refine his passing skills so that when he does carry the ball it's not solely the QB draw/dive over tackle that gets him beat up.

I'm not saying we don't run the pure QB draw any more, just saying if he's more of a passing threat the more he can exploit defenses when they drop back in coverage and he scrambles for HUGE yards.

Part of Denard being able to cut down on carries is improvement from the running game via the RB's.  If Hoke's Offense can get a good down hill running game going the sky is the limit with Denard in the backfield.  His personal #'s could decrease, but over all productivity of the offense would see huge gains from more balance.

Last I remember reading on

Last I remember reading on here was there were questions regarding Rawls being able to qualify academically.  Has anyone heard word on whether that has been resolved?  I was under the impression that was the only item holding up his offer.

Hoke needs to keep the

Hoke needs to keep the pipelines open to TX and CA, however if he doesn't have in roads to FL he needs to get on it ASAP.  There is just way to much talent down there to not recruit it.

Under Bo, Mo, Lloyd (and even RR pulling Lewan from AZ) - Michigan always recruited nationally, and needs to continue to do so.

I'd love to see at least one

I'd love to see at least one DT in this class.  I'm not saying we don't need other positions shored up as well, but I was concerned about the lack of DT recruits under RR and I still am.

Regardless of coach or philosophy, the team that can dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball stands a better chance of winning, and I'm concerned about our D line depth over the next few years if we don't start landing some guys .

It's not your TV

Compared to Denard, yea Luck

Compared to Denard, yea Luck is lumbering.  But compared to other quarterbacks not named Denard, Vick, or Young, Luck is pretty damned athletic - with an arm cannon to boot.

I wasn't trying to imply "rr

I wasn't trying to imply "rr recruited small players".  I'm sure you heard Speilman's comments either in the game or rehashed here on the blog.  He basically said nobody on our D would start on another Big 10 school - outside of Martin.

There was some additional comments, but the basic premise was that Michigan used to pump D talent into the NFL, and nobody currently playing on M's D was at that level.

Maybe some of the freshmen grow into that, maybe they don't, but our current talent/production was what he was speaking to, and that's what I was referencing in my post.

Is Darren Kitchen (kid we

Is Darren Kitchen (kid we were dangling an offer on from Louisiana) still available?  Word early on was he wanted to commit to Michigan but the offer wasn't extended because Michigan was in on a few more highly rated prospects.

Well - we have plenty of room now to take a few lower rated prospects in an attempt to salvage/fill out the class.

Based on the initial comments

Based on the initial comments in this thread, I'm guessing this isn't a popular idea.  I'm not sure why it would be totally shot down.  Bama runs a "pro style" offense, and they had many offensive sets that utilized the pistol formation, with decent to great success.

I'm not sure it needs to be a base formation, but there's no reason not to use it as a change of pace.

Personally I'd like to see Pistol, shotgun, under center I formation, double tight end packages, etc...  As long as execution is solid the more that we can throw at opposing defenses the better.
