Eddie McDoom in a Walking Boot
This is probably the aftermath of his injury from the spring game. Could be nothing. Could be serious.
No use in speculating at this point. Just passing along what I saw on Twitter (h/t Garrett Fishaw).
#Michigan WR Eddie McDoom just walked out of Scembechler wearing a boot on left foot

Probably means he will be ready for fall camp? An achilles would mean surgery & crutches. Other than that, even if it were a break he should be able to heal in plenty of time before August. Staff will take good care of Eddie.
Good thing I was wrong and it wasn't a knee.
It didn't look like an Achilles injury type of play, anyway.
It didn't look like an anything type of play, which is what worried me.

They were Himalayan walking boots. He probably saw how good they made Elaine's feet feel.

Your prognosis matches your avatar pic.
Usually don't want to consider being in a walking boot a positive, but most injuries that can be treated while using a walking boot are better than what most of us feared he had suffered. Hope the best for a promising young player.
that it was ankle/foot instead of knee.
they will throw a walking boot on them to help with the healing. Probably a bad sprain and I would expect him back by fall camp.
I vaguely recall Stafford wearing a boot after a game a few years ago and still playing the following week. Hopefully this is a similar case where the medical staff is just being cautious.
I thought someone said he was in a boot but it's not expected to be anything big
We really have no idea what this means, so let's not get all gloom-and-mcdoom.
Exactly. It could be good news, but it might not mean anything.
I hope the kid's ready to go by camp. I'm willing to bet he will be. I like this kid. He could kill mo fo's from the slot.
Sometimes walking boots can be hard to get used to.
the McBoom.
We're McDoooooooomed!
(Get well soon, Eddie. Michigan football is better with you in it. :-)
Pretty sure UmBig said this on Saturday in one of the post-Spring game threads. Said it didn't appear to be anything major.
A walking boot, or as Brady Hoke would call it, a boo-boo shoe
It's the rare feat to use cancer in a joke and actually pull it off. I feel like you successfully did just that.
Well played.
Damnit. Damnit. Damnit. How could I miss that???
Good on ya.
Pretty sure its worse than just an ankle sprain. He was rolling around in pain. Ankle sprains arent exactly that painful
He's key to our season so hopefully he gets healed up soon
We're diagnosing injuries based on how much a player rolls around now.

Well soccer players will be out for a season everytime they get "injured" then
I've rolled my ankle and it fucking hurt. We're not all as tough as you!

Actually, some ankle sprains can be quite painful and can take longer to heal thoroughly than a fracture.
Hopefully, he has nothing serious and will be fine in short order.
man if i knew people were gonna analyze every fidget i make, i would pick a random time to barrel over and grab my knew and yell to high heaven
that i'd be right back at practice, leaving everyone extremely confused and exposing all the 'inside info'
not sure he would have been able to diagnose himself on the spot. May have been rolling around in pain, or may have been rolling around in anguish thinking his season was over before it began.
Probably means at worst hairline fracture. Should hopefully be fine in 1-2 months. Cructches would be a bad sign.
GO BLUE!!
