Beilein will finish his career at Michigan.
That ws always a given.
nails it........barring completely unforseen circumstances this was already a given. Best TEACHER among all CBB coaches.

The internet seems to agree with you.
he's a good coach and a great man. And I'm damn glad we have him as our coach
His players love him, he loves the university, and he's a damn fine coach. He can stay as long as he wants.
10 years.
like he just told the team.
Hail to the Victors. Go Blue.
or stringer bell.
Good thing Beileins a wee young lad. I think another 45 years of coaching sounds appropriate.
He can't recruit!!
You idiots!!!!!
Go Blue!!!!
Thing that kills me about the "he cant recruit" mob is they'll slob all over Derrick Walton in the next breath lol. Then complain about how he doesn't recruit good bigs right before they talk about how good Dj Wilson & Moe Wagner are. Fans are more clueless than they realize and that's why we pay Warde Manuel a shit ton of money to make these decisions.
Considering that he has said as much in various interviews in the last couple years, I would tend to agree with that sentiment, and he should finish his career here. As many things as we can point out, as difficult as this season was to stomach at a few points, he would eventually leave this program in infinitely better shape than when he first came upon it.
Wait, didn't they fire him earlier this year? I'm sure I heard "fans" talking about it.
Read his lips as the buzzer sounds. His first thought is how proud he is of his boys. Great man. I have been critical. I was significantly with error.
we are a bi-polar bunch here. Goes with fandom I guess lol. All I know is I did waiver for a bit but never joined the fire him group. I'll not waiver again...
We may have the best offensive coach in the country. We just destroyed an elite defense in the second half. Enjoy him as long as we've got him!
So I'm wondering if the Cards are a top 3 defense in the country? I cant remember all the things I've been reading but Michigan barely got any open looks from down town. Great thing that their bigs choked down the stretch. LMAO Muhahahah!
NOOOOOOOO-BODY

but maybe it doesn't matter when guys like Wilson and Wagner develop like they have this year. It's an amazing transformation
this was never in doubt
I think its as ridiculous to make these comments when they win as is it is to call for his head when they dont.
One thing I've noticed with JB on this run is how much more fire he has. Even in 2013 when we went to the Champ he was never this fired up. Now he's yelling at refs, bringing squirt guns to the postgame celebrations, and just overall giving off a spark that I've never seen from him, it's been awesome to watch.
This is very noticiable. He is is way more loose but still has that lets get down to business mode.
On a serious note, many (myself included) thought maybe he had struck gold with one particular group of guys. Also the lack of capitalizing on that run in the recruiting game was frustrating. As was a team that as we see now has a lot of talent seemingly forgeting defense is half the game for a good portion of this year - there were no injuries or inexperience to explain that away. Losing at home to our hated rival - which was very down this year - with the talent you see that we now have is almost inexplainable now.
With that said, the worm turned, and now we have a "second cycle" of success if you will so that some (which again I'll raise my hand) who were worried our success was due to a "one off" cluster of NBA players coming in at one time, so that refutes that argument. And makes those of us who felt that way much more sanguine.
When you see something repeated with another crew of players it makes you feel like there is a pattern rather than a one off.
I don't think anyone ever disliked this man, or what he stands for. I still remember him sitting in the NBA green room all night hoping Jordan Morgan would get drafted! Among countless other things.
Dude is locked in for life now and whaetever happens in Nov/Dec/Jan of other years you can now feel good about eventual outcomes in Feb/March. And we just have to live with the idea we are not getting into the dirty game of recruiting and need to spend more time waiting on development.
There is no Michigan coach, football or basketball, I've liked as much as Beilein. I know it's sacrilege but Bo wasn't the kind of schematic wizard I love. Harbaugh is fantastic but I prefer the low-key decency of Coach B. The team's struggles last season and earlier this season were wrenching, as I hated to see him go through that, and I did wonder if he had lost his mojo. But I didn't think so. I thought he would find a way to get back on top if he was given enough time. Turns out he didn't need that much time at all. I am so happy for him, and for the kids he's brought to Michigan. He is an example of everything that's good about college sports, and for this when to come against Pitino makes it all the more satisfying.
not so set in his ways that he can't make chanages. He realized that he needed to get a defensive professional in there, and did. Took a while, but this is a much better defensive team than it was in January.
This should be a slam dunk for recruits, who want to come here. Also for the ones are considering Michigan. Beilien is another choo choo Mother Friggin coach. I hope he stays till he retires. Give that man a raise!
