Donnie Corley to MSU

Submitted by Feel The Strength on
Donnie Corley just committed to Sparty, as many anticipated. The funny thing is the man interviewing him asked him how it would be joining two of his former teammates in "Ann Arbor" The Disrespekt continues haha.

First off, i never called him a "lock" I said he's a strong lean, which pretty much everyone agreed upon. He almost committed to Michigan at the game but his mom told him to hold off cuz of his visits. If he doesn't come to Michigan it will be Clemson because that's the only place he hasn't visited yet. Out of all the places he's been to already, Michigan is obviously the choice if he was about to make a decision this weekend.

in the."very little chance department". Corley will be a very good CFB player that we have to face every year. Zero sour grapes but I was never as high on Nauta as others. He's a terrific TE prospect but I don't see him as the kind of TE many refer to as the best in the rankings era. If I could only have one of the two I'd choose Corley. Call me what you will.

May he enjoy beer after beer after beer after beer after beer after beer after beer after beer.

And may he think about what might have been when he sees Dylan Crawford holding championship trophies.

Some people just cannot resist the allure of a smoldering couch.

Good to see no one here is sour grapes...

In all seriosuness I wsh nothing but the best for the kid. Follow your heart and do what makes you happy. It would be nice to have a great player like him added to the roster but moving forward any one recruit is just a drop of water in the ocean. You don't build a team with just one player, it is about assembling a group of like-minded individuals. If they don't wnt to be here they won't find success no matter the talent.

Here's hoping achieves greatness with MSU, has a great couple seasons for them, gets himself into the NFL and loses to Michigan four consecutive years!

I dont think its very funny anymore because they keep using the disrespect card and they keep beating us. Nothing Sparty is funny to me anymore until I see a Michigan win over MSU.

This is absolutely true, if by "head-to-head" they mean UM and MSU offered a kid at some point.  The fact that MSU isn't in play for a lot of major recruits outside of the region should definitely not factor in one bit.

There's a reason that place isn't really taken seriously.

The eye test tells me he is going to be a special player. But the eye test and Jim's past history tells me there aren't many schools with the promising trajectory and upside of Michigan.  A battle for one recruit here or there doesn't alter the short or long-term course one bit.

best moves was hiring former co-director of "Sound Mind, Sound Body", Curtis Blackwell II, on his staff. He does a good job bringing Detroit kids to staee. As fellow Crusaders, I'm happy for both but I hate they are at staee.

Surprised he didn't go to OSU, but that's about it.  He seemed like an MSU kid for a long time.  Wish him luck except when he plays UM.

reminds me of Braylon Edwards. Though,   Crawford will be a great WR for us and glad he picked UM!  I wonder if Harbaugh will be awarding the number 1 jersey to the top WR on the team.  I know Chesson deserves to wear the number 1 jersey in 2016. When both Chesson and Darboh were recruited together, I though Darboh was going to be the top WR on the team in his JR and SR seasons. But I think Darboh will improve next season and may have been delayed by his foot injury. It will be great having two top WR on the team in 2016.
