From the rubber, full windup and then goes ahead and THROWS it. No lob shit. Very rare for a ceremonial first pitch ... way to go James !!!!
Go Blue!
He's still got it
He slinged it right over the plate but that was no strike; the catcher had to stand up to get to it.
I have the same problem. I can get the angle just right but my release timing isn't consistent, so my "grouping" is basically a long, straight line parallel to my arm angle.
Of course, he can still throw a 40-yard dart with a football whereas the last time I tried to throw a spiral I think I heard the ball croak, "Kill me."
Ceremonial pitches aren't meant for the actual strike zone. Priority one is to keep it out of the dirt. It would have been better a tad lower, but he knew where to miss it.
A lot of Spartan/SEC fans there apparently.
I noticed the hefty amount of boos too

You can get it at the Tigers vs Twins game on the 9/25 as it is Michigan Night.
It was cheaper than I thought it would be.
The D looks odd in anything but white. I don't even really like the orange away D.
Too many logos.... I would have prefered a mashup kinda thing, with a Maize olde english M.
Next you'll say he ran to home plate, grabbed a bat and hit the pitch for a home run.
You just couldn't see him because he's Taco Pants.
relief help. HARBAUGH is ready!
great minds... are on twitter at same time

Loved the old school windup! Also the hat is sick. 60 MPH?
To add a little to the awesome, the jersey he chose (yeah, I know - Teddy Blanks and Mark Snyder grumble grumble - but it's just the photo)...

Isn't Harbaugh past the official MGoAgeLimit for wearing another man's jersey?!?!?
That hat is beautiful.
Just like this one.

Love the hat that JH has. I normally don't like mash ups but I really like that one.
Harbaugh is too competitive to have gone out there looking like he didn't belong on the mound. He looked like a real pitcher, at least as long as the radar gun wasn't on. And that pitch had a bit of "mustard" on it for someone who is 51 years old.
Another job well done by Harbaugh.
My completely unreliable wild-ass guess tells me he probably touched 70mph. He's got an NFL arm after all.
Anyway, Harbaugh is competitive past the point of insane, but I wonder if merely wanting to do well is all that unusual. I get that it's ceremonial and most just do it for LOLs, but if I got an invite to throw a ceremonial pitch my next call would be to book time at a practice facility. I don't need nor expect to be King Felix overnight but I'd at least not want to embarrass my family.
Nice pop of the catchers glove.
Our Coach can out pitch yours!!!

It is. He seems to catch for most of the ceremonial pitches.
It is.
Harbaugh and his wife are there in the front row.
Bring on Nike next... This is my year baby!!!! Whew!!!
Very nice!
And much better than the last time a UM QB threw the first pitch.
I bet Dantonio throws it in the dirt.
