Troll who was only concerned with recruiting rankings. Pinky was essentially bashing Beilein and Harbaugh for taking low ranked recruits early.

if a player has the size and ability of a future D1 prospect, coaches will find minutes for them on the field. sophomores in high school dominate all the time (and keep seniors on the bench) - the best players will play at any level

It would take a *lot* of body development for him to become the size of a tackle...

Jake Long anyone....If I remember right, he had a significant growth spurt his senior year that gave hime the ideal body for an OT

the prototypical size for a HS sophomore be to project to tackle?

Magnus probably has more in depth info on leverage points and body type, but I would think height/weight numbers aren't really indicative. Rather, frame or sheer skeleton size. Guys like Lewan and Long (or Tyron Smith who went to USC and is a Pro Bowler with the Cowboys) were pretty lean in high school, but were huge guys, if that makes sense. They added muscle and became dominant players.
It seems like the 300+ pounders in high school tend to be overrated, in contrast.
Joe Staley was a scrawny track star in high school. Now he's an All-Pro LT. I'm sure if Dunaway is 6'6" and worthy of a Michigan scholarship, he's got a big frame. I'm not saying I think he'll be a tackle, but I bet he could handle the weight. he could be AJ Williams size for sure.

Very excited to see what the tight end's can do in harbaugh's system. Hopefully Michigan can build something like they did at Stanford. In 2010 Stanford had Fleener, Ertz and Toilolo as tight ends. Each one of those guys are now contributing in the NFL.

Welcome aboard, Carter. You'll be learning from one of the best minds in the game.

so much damn hate in here... I'm happy to welcome in Mr. Dunaway. I have complete faith in Harbaugh just from what he did at Stanford. He never brought Stanford to a high caliber recruiting level yet made them a ten win school year in and year out.
ps... I read Pinky's first three or four responses and just decided to straight up negbang him on the rest.

Pinky gone..

Not quite, but it is time for bed.

Good to see another new recruit.

He will be a big Target! Carter could easily be 6'5" 250 when he steps on campus! Coach Harbaugh likes him and that is all that matters. Welcome to Michigan Carter!

He's 6'6 right now so yeah... real big!

These 16 year old kids deserve a warm welcome when they make a decision like this (and are nice enough to choose the school we all love). The shit in this thread and last night has been completely disgusting. Glad it got nuked, at least in this thread.
Welcome aboard, Carter. You chose a great school to attend and for a guy who plays your position I don't think you could find a better coach anywhere in the country to spot your talents and get the most out of your natural ability. Go Blue!

Purple,
You're saying you think the recruits read this blog?
April 19th, 2015 at 12:42 PM ^
How do we know that?
April 17th, 2015 at 10:49 PM ^
Seriously--Pinky just took a lot of posts to Bolivia with him.

Rivals says that Carter Dunaway is 6'6'' and 232 lbs. That is a big frame for a sophomore that should still be growing.

Yes--hopefully by the summer Jim Haubaugh will meet your demanding standards.
April 17th, 2015 at 11:48 PM ^
I knew it wouldn't be long before someone started bellyaching.
If it's not the thread for it then why are you saying it in this thread?
Harbaugh will have very good recruiting. Will it be as good as OSU right now? No, they just won the national title. No one's will be as good as theirs. But we will be close enough that we can compete. We will have top 10 classes, don't worry.
Yep, there's only one thing to do: fire Harbaugh now before things get any worse. He's been an absolute failure here at Michigan.

Glad he waited for Ace to go on vacation
My comment was deleted to man WTF. I sense some North Korea stranglehold type stuff going on here lol.
Half the comments are for another thread, are far too negative, or they're just plain weird...we should try this again when the BAC is a little lower.
