Big 10 better than SEC

Why do we go through this every bowl season? If it's Iowa or Minnesota then by all means root for the Big Ten. If it's MSU or Ohio then root hard against them because we have to recruit against them and have to deal with their fans 24/7. If it's between what's better for Michigan or what's better for the Big Ten, I choose Michigan.

and Ohio State winning a national championship will hamper our recruiting efforts terribly especially in Ohio even with Harbaugh at least compared to what it would be if they lose. Compare this to if Bama wins. If the big ten is winning and it's not us but those two teams, recruits will just flock to them. How is that better than the SEC winning?

They will always recruit better than us in Ohio. Michigan has to ensure second pickings in that state and maintain its #1 spot in Michigan. When Michigan wins like it should, it ensures each of those by itself. So if we keep losing for another 7 years, we're screwed anyway. A strong B1G allows us to get kids from outside the region who've written off the conference as second rate, and prevents kids from inside the Midwest from the allure of SEC dominance. So to summarize, if we keep losing we're fucked anyway. If we start winning, a strong B1G is a good thing.

Sorry. I don't care about what is good for the Big Ten when it comes to the Buckeyes or Staee. I will never under any circumstances cheer for either one of those teams to win.

that said, in regard to osu I still think TCU was robbed but no longer by osu. They're legit, like it or not. FSU was the sham team and it's odd as they were the defending champs & undefeated but you could just see that they weren't a top 4 team before the playoff. I honestly don't see Oregon beating osu, sadly. I honestly felt that once they were in that Bama was their one game to a title as they'd beat both FSU & Oregon. Though, Oregon has the best chance of those two so glad they won. Man, Bama's QB is either really great or really bad and he was really bad today. The team just didn't seem to want to be there or take osu seriously. I want rooting for them but this does kill the "ess ee see is king" B.S. As for msu, they flat out walked ass backward into that win. F them.

It's pretty clear that Elliot and Smith don't have SEC speed. A lot of Alabama guys are just letting them run right past them, out of the goodness of their hearts.

We don't have depend on the pundits and coaches to pick a champion - it happens on the field. Face it - if it were the old system, there is no way pundits and a lot of the coaches would have picked OSU over Alabama.

Only helps us! Big Ten!

despite the crap effort with half the defense injured. Did you see the offensive playcalling? Did you see that clock management when they're under a minute, look to Kiffin and he's still deciding on what to call or do? He choked with the best non-QB, backfield duo & top 5 OL in the country. Hard.

I hope EVERY member of Michigan's team watched today's action. If they aren't motivated to go 12-0 in B1G Ten play, the we have bigger issues than we all thought. Even with Harbaugh, today SUCKS to be a Michigan fan.

Alabama was just really beaten up from playing in the SEC all season. If they were fresh, they would have rolled tOSU.

That was a great game. Ohio State has a plug-and-play offense, it seems. A fifth-stringer could come in at any position and they won't miss a beat. The B1G has done its thing in the bowls this year. I hate the Buckeyes, but they're making the B1G look good, along with the other winners, and that makes Michigan look better by association.

And what is good for the B1G is good for Michigan.

Any argument otherwise is fundamentally flawed.

Congrats to the two teams I hate the most...they played some fantastic football today.

And I can't wait for our program to rise up to that level of on the field ass kicking.

Go Blue.

Regardless of whether you were rooting for it or not, when was the last week that went this well for Big Ten football?  Like the week it became clear that M/OSU would be 1 vs 2?  But not that week, because Bo died.
